24:07 the reason for the weird puppet Italy is because it’s not based on ally contribution, it’s based on who controls Rome at the time the event fires. This can lead to some cheese strats though.
The issue stays the same with AI, if you tag them, you always realize they design bad aircraft, bad ships, bad tanks.
Unless you force the AI to use only tank&plane models you design (with a mod, take off their ability to make 50 models of everything, to make 50 division template and then to focus greatly on logistic too to not have to rebuild a whole army equipment every month, then you always feel disappointed when you check what the enemy had)
This hasn’t ever changed they have always designed bad divisions since the very beginning it was just less noticeable when you only had the 20/40 CW divs
@@thefallen501st9 yes, I knew in the beginning of hoi4 when I tried tagging Germany or Soviet union or Usa, it's just recently when I did a vanilla game (with tank and air designer dlc on, for once) I tag some countries and it mostly didn't change from what I saw years ago. (I thought Paradox might have tweak it to get better, maybe a little but still the same)
If you want to fight good planes and tanks, use Road to 56
There is a fantastic mod from the better mechanics team that makes the AI create better tanks/aircraft/boats.
Before by blood alone and no step back at least the ai might of stood a chance with tanks and planes and boats

Once upon a time there was a leader of (insert country name) and everything was fine with him. Suddenly in 1936 at 12:00 he issues a decree. “Stop producing everything except artillery and rifles. Give us a little more air defense. And planes, I want new planes. We don’t need tanks, anti-tank guns, cavalry and other nonsense. We need artillery! And yes, sell everything else to the international market” - every game in HoI4
That's actually a really good question. How does fuel in this game work in landlocked regions? The game really doesn't have a supply mechanism for airsupport outside of being able to add more ground crews. Landlocked regions should demand transport planes to be in the area prior to allowing operations, or at the very least you should have to ask for military access from adjacent countries that border a shoreline. Supply access should be a new mechanic that increases war tension and degrades relations.
It's good to ask for control of states since occupation gives warscore so you can take more in the peace deal, although big belgium is also funny

You can do a similar strat to this with the Little Entente path. . . Germany has to fight on 4 fronts, easy win even for a noob like me.
Your fighters dont use that small gun turret when you give them on air superiority or interception missions. That module only works on ground missions like cas, log strike and strat/naval bombing.
I think it's the first division in core Italy, when I naval invaded them as both Australia and Brazil, I got the puppet

To answer the question : "why do communist path have extra manpower?" It's the collectivisation process : basically, speedrunning the mecanisation of agriculture with collective farms equipped with heavy machinery = a lot less people needed in agriculture = free juicy manpower for industry and army
