@@AGuppy just like any antibiotic that is wide spectrum make sure you use all of it and do not cut corners as it will come back in your tank. Good luck glad to have helped.

Make sure you use Seachem Focus to mix with Kanaplex or Metroplex as it bonds the medication to the food. Otherwise as soon as you put in water it will dissolve in the water column.

Thank you. Yes I use one or the other for targeted treatments. As long as the fish are eating. If not you really have to treat a bare quarantine tank with something they will get from the water and reach the source of the problem, but you are right on my friend.

API General Cure and API Erythromycin completely skipped over and those, with Ick-X are the only three (3) you need, period.

My female Betta tank has velvet. I bought a metroplex bundle with garlic guard and focus as well as something else. I really hope that this helps. I've already lost one Betta

i used ich-x and it did nothing for me except permanently coloring everything I had in my tank. Poly guard is what I'v been told and I have seen been used by stores

Always use the Quarantine tank first unless you have to medicate the full tank.

i asked seachem they said dont mix medication with boil water which repashy required to make is that true ?

No never put the medication in the water. Make small jello-like squares and insert the medication there if you are treating something internal.
