Try old log and seasoning. Old log is 1x2 and upon one energy creates one herb in the same row. With seasoning, the herbs will heal 5 for 0 energy letting you possibly healing 15 per turn.
With the mouse wood relic if you put the arrows pointing at the bow from the other side of the backpack they can use the whole space in the row, you can alternate them such as they aren't adjacent to each other, this added to a 4 blocks long bow can be insane with mouse wood. Another crazy synergy that you could try is the crossbow poison synergy, since the nerf, bows only shoot arrows they can "see" but crossbow kept the ability to shoot all the arrows it points at, with the downside of a 50% damage multiplier, but poison isn't considered damage so you could technically fill a whole row with poison arrows and make the crossbow point at them for some crazy damage, the only downside being coward enemies as they wouldn't leave before attacking unless the non-coward enemy is in the front, this can be specially dangerous with bosses, but it can be solved with tokens of energy or the relic that adds energy.
Good note for Bows: You can use Duct Tape to fire More Arrows than the bow can covers in slots. Placeing Duct Tape in the path of the bow you can place arrows Above and infront of the duct tape and both will fire :)
the short arrow are really great (at the end especially). the -50% damage is additive. meaning if mousewood is giving +500%, on the short arrow it will give +450% so short arrows are totally worth it to fit more in.
Wrong, short arrows give +1 DMG per empty space, while normal arrows give +2 DMG per empty space, with full space to the right and a common bow, short arrows deal 7 DMG and normal arrows 11 DMG. Short arrows do not have a “-50%” as of v0.16.28
@@axelcastillo7432 Exactly, plus there's no "fitting more in" anymore since bows only fire the first arrow in the row/column they're facing anyway. A 2-space-tall bow can only fire 2 arrows at most.

Bow builds were extremely annoying like 2 iterations ago when arrows were consumed on use and you had to keep looting arrows and you needed a quiver to refill them. There's a lot of ways they can balance bows (especially the wood relic needs to be +200% damage period, instead of +200% on every use) but making them more annoying to use isn't something I can agree with.
