- The Looker Full Game: it's so much more than just a parody. It's kind, it's funny, and honestly, it's not that bad a puzzle game either. Highly recommend to people that love The Witness and people that hate The Witness.

This game was way funnier than I expected, especially since it made its own comedy and didn't even make fun of The Witness too much. You should still get the game yourself even after watching! It's free, and there's probably some stuff I missed in this video.

To be fair, the speed of the lasers is kind of a pointless complaint since you don't have to wait for the laser to get activated, you can just move on
Dude I loved this game, every joke for me landed perfectly, especially the “horror” section where you suddenly whip out a shotgun and blast down a puzzle. Truly a top tier parody.

When I initially came to that section since I picked up the ammo at the start of the game and hit control right as the shotgun popped up I thought that the shotgun was freely usable any time to just destroy a puzzle.
And where you shoot a statue that you think is an enemy that has a sign that says "Please Don't Scratch This Statue"

13:00 Actually, there is a way to categorize the order. it's based on the number of corners in the shape, from least to most. a circle has no corners, so 0, the moon has 2 points, a triangle 3, the hourglass 6, etc. etc.
But in the practice puzzle for it where you had 2 arrow shaped and 1 shape with both infused, it falls apart since it started with the top left when it also couldve started at the bottom right
@@Wrathwaiser nah mate the one triangle in the top left had 3 corners while the one on the bottom right had an indent in its ass, giving it four corners total

I was thinking the number of sides, circle has 1, moon has 2, etc
Just curious, this wasn't a shape but how do you think a heart would be classified? Technically it has two points, but since one point is inside of the shape, you may also be able to say it has one point
The slow beam animations had me laughing my ass off but I was not expecting the ending. Pure comedy gold.

The beam gag was my favorite. It dumb stuff like that that makes me laugh. When the beam shot out the other end of the knob I was laughing my ass off.
This simultaneously sums up the actual issues with the game, makes some amazing cheap shots like the dick and shooter segments, while also exploring the idea of drawing a red line to its fullest
Oh, goodness, the nostalgia. Has it already been two and a half years since your The Witness playthrough? This parody is an excellent trip down memory lane, and genuinely entertaining, all at once.

I remember when I used to watch your Witness series and would tune in to it after class. I still lived in an old tiny apartment, but sitting here in my home again makes me really miss the homely feeling of the apartment, it's only been 3 years ago since I left it to move back but it already felt so nostalgic after a year of living back home. And I can guarantee you that tuning in to watch you play the game all excitedly definitely was one of the more nostalgic memories for me.
Lmao was not expecting this. I love that it did poke fun at the Witness, but also made its own humor too. Fifteen minutes well spent
Hidden gem in this game that I think went under appreciated. If you read the whole kids menu there is not a section with both the letter E and S, so there is no solution besides the Maze.

The shotgun part and the ending puzzle had me laughing hard, the ingame "ad" also gave me a good chuckle.

I love the heavy jabs at the audio for The Witness, straight up followed a tutorial for the bamboo laser in Witness and shipwreck so having this game being made straight up impossible unless you listen to the audio is a nice jab.
It is a really nice jab at Witness without going too overboard as shown by making it free and limiting it to a small hub area.
2500 reviews within a week of release, that is crazy.

Somebody has probably mentioned this, but the symbols were in order of least amount of sides to greatest amount of sides. Great playthrough :)

For the stop sign, here's how it was solved
So there were 2 puzzles earlier that showed you how to do it, but this time it was less obvious. The catch was that if there were multiple end points, you have to use both, and that S and E represent Start and End respectively. So all you needed to do at the door was connect both Ss and Es, which you only did after scribbling on it.
Yeah, he got the bigger one, but missed the s and e in understanding

This is absolutely incredible! I love how it pokes fun at the Witness but still makes it very clear that the devs hold the Witness in high regard.

I think the shapes one was based on number of vertices, the colours were just random to throw you off.

Not sure if someone said this already, but the opening makes it sound like the guy who made the Witness also made the Looker, and I’m pretty sure it’s two entirely different people.

The best part about this game is that the creator of The Witness was malding about this game being better received and saying game critics don’t know what they’re talking about a minute into the video when they said his game wastes so much time.
lol when I watched your the witness playthrough I constantly was baffled by how slow the beams moved I was like "who saw how long this beam coming out animation is and was like yeah thats good lets go with that!"

I played The Witness for a total of a couple hours, until it gave me the worst motion sickness and headache I have ever had from a videogame. The Dev said at the time he wouldn't add anything for people having the same issue, so I refunded it and never looked back.
well i mena you can't do anything other than making the witness a 3rd person game to combat videogame induced motion sickness I guess, and the witness is reliant on the first person aspect with its puzzles so its natural that the dev can't offer anything to do with motion sickness other than like free motion sickness medication voucher with the game.
@@NuclearRaven13 The Witness is literally the only game I've ever played that gave me motion sickness. I've played well over a thousand hours of FPS games, none of them give me this problem. They were doing something fucky with the camera+movement in that game and apparently more than a few people noticed. I didn't even know it was a widespread thing until I just googled it now, so don't blame it on priming.

At 5:25 The puzzle there's solution is to connect all the s's and all e's. Matt Pat figured it out while playing but apparently literally nobody else had including the walkthrough guides and stuff which is pretty funny.
