I understand that SR encompasses both Tamilnadu and Kerala, but on comparison of the fastest trains of both states based on AVERAGE SPEED, the fastest SR train from Kerala is TVC-MAS Super AC Express, which is just unfortunately slower than any of the other trains mentioned here. I'll let you guys verify my claim from the Railways' database. So, in other words, it is not that Kerala has been ignored in this video, but it is merely the fact that SR's top 15 fastest trains do run through Tamilnadu. I think you have made a mistake in your title. The 15 fastest train in Tamilnadu is the right title... not southern railway. Because southern railway includes Karnataka, Kerala and Andhra also..
KERALA RAIL ZONE Actually, these are the fastest trains in Southern Railway, it's just that they all happen to be in or from Tamilnadu. Please check the railway database yourself, you will see that the top 15 fastest Southern Railway Trains are from Tamilnadu. I guess it's because Andhra has SCR and SCoR, Karnataka has SWR, and Kerala's rail infrastructure is such that it is very scenic and not built for speed. Hope it makes sense, thanks for watching!

CLARIFICATION I am from Bangalore, by the way. The trains you have mentioned may be very fast in a few stretches, but their average speed is, unfortunately, horrible. Check the railway database if you don't believe me. Also, Lalbagh is my most favourite train in the entire world, so let me get that out of the way. I can also explain why the Trivandrum SF, Mangala Lakshadweep express etc. arent that fast, and that is mainly because they run through Konkan railway, which greatly reduces their average speed, so they aren't fit to be included in this list. Please refer the Railway Database for more information.

Brindavan used to be a legend even very recently, but after the introduction of DD it has been slowed down quite a bit. Its average speed is now below 60 so it unfortunately didn't qualify for this list.
Favourite trains are 12244 CBE-MAS Shatabdi & 22207 MAS-TVC Super AC Express. To feel the real speed of both the trains you should travel in it between Salem & Jolarpettai stations. That’s a long stretch with minimum stoppage. Most trains passing through that stretch make up some lost time. I’ve had the experience couple of times in TVC-MAS Superfast Mail when it was late in Palakkad Jn (PGT) by nearly 30mins but reached MAS some 10-15mins before time

Vaigai sf express average speed is 64km/hr from mdu to ms and 65km/hr from ms to mdu.That is faster than kovai express and cbe Intercity express.Please check the DB.
The title is clear, trains of southern railway, not trains running through southern railway. Tamil Nadu, Garib rath, Shatabdi and listed trains are trains of southern railway and running with max speed. Because most of the trains have good section speed, some run on non traffic times and some routes have a long mps stretch.

These trains were part of my list which had the fastest non shatabdi/rajdhani/duronto/garib rath SR trains. SBC double decker, CBE UDAY would probably be in the list if we redo at current date

Yes bro Kerala is definitely included in SR, and the fact that all of the trains in this video seem to originate from Tamilnadu make people think that this video is biased. The truth is that TVC Rajdhani belongs to NR, and even some of Kerala's fastest trains have an average speed of 60 km/h (which is very fast, but they will probably make it into a top 20 list. This is just the top 15, and by chance, all of the trains do originate from Tamilnadu. I have obtained speed data from the railway database to ensure that the video is factually correct).

Nope, these are the fastest. I have listed them on the basis of average speed and not maximum speed. Some of these trains can go up to 120 km/h as well, especially 12269. V Dhinakar kovai and vaigai have same avg speed , mps, distance covered and no. Of stops. They are exactly the same !
For me Vaigai and Coimbatore intercity are same and kovai is now reduced it's average speed to 63 in July time table.

The truth is that TVC Rajdhani belongs to NR, and even some of Kerala's fastest trains have an average speed of 60 km/h (which is very fast, but they will probably make it into a top 20 list. This is just the top 15, and by chance, all of the trains do originate from Tamilnadu. I have obtained speed data from the railway database to ensure that the video is factually correct).

The information has been sourced from the railway database. So you're claiming that you know some trains that even Indian Railways doesn't know ;)
