- Its been almost 6 months that the new senstion of Indian Railways & loco less train 18 Vande Bharat Express has been running at much lesser speed than promised .
A quick brush into the top 5 fastest trains of our huge railway network all to and from New Delhi .

1:19 the scene where passing of duronto express is shown, one man casually crossed the track as if nothing is coming, even after such a loud horn that man crossed the track, this is the disrespect that we Indians show to our Rules, if that man had died due to this then the people and the man's family would surely blame the government for it.. In which the government is not actually responsible for it but the person, knowing that the train is coming crossed the track is in fault... Hope we indians change our selves in coming years.. Gatimaan is a modified version of shatabdi with lesser coaches which helps it accelerate faster & the engine can thus churn out 10km more with lesser weight to pull
India need to improve its railways infrastructure, introduce newer technologies, and allow these trains to go faster . India has to start introducing superfast trains that go atleast 300km/ hr.
India is already working on bullet train and hyperloop.

Vande Bharat express has the capability of going 180kmph. But due to our bad track conditions it is permitted to 130kmph. Then Gatiman will be the fastest train of India.

It's cause of Gatiman is fastest in terms of achieving highest speed of 160 km/hr while vande Bharat have average speed of 95km/hr which is highest
I knew this question would come up. Here's the answer -
The Vande Bharat Express is designed to reach 180km/h and above but due to the restrictions by authorities it's top speed is capped at 130km/h.
The trial was done at 155km/h.
Gatiman Exp has a top speed of 175km/h but it runs at 160km/h because the route it runs on has had several tests and it is a trusted route, nothing to do with the prices of tickets.
The build of the tracks have nothing to do with the speed of either of the trains. It's all about clearance.
Why Vande Bharat wins over Gatiman is because Vande Bharat has an average speed of 95km/h as compared to the 67km/h of Gatiman.
In near future the restrictions on Vande Bharat would be lifted and it will run at 180km/h or even more.

In this video, No train is running at 130KMPH or even 100 KMPH, this video just shows trains top speed and trains are never allowed to run at top speed at a station or near junction, most people never catch train at top speed because the top speed is achieved in the secluded areas where there is next to zero population density.
He is farther away from the faster trains so it looks like that.

Did you know, in Germany there are some special train stations where our fast trains can pass with 200 km/h.
In common the v-max. thru the stations is limited to 160 km/h. And by the way, our fastet train is "officially"
reaching 330 km/h on his drive. He can drive lots faster, but it's not allowed. 👎
Bis 200 darf durch jeden Bahnhof im Prinzip gefahren werden. 300 Strecken haben wir in zwischen auch schon gut was. Zudem ist ja Hannover-Würzburg mit 280 auch nicht schlecht dabei.

Vande Bharat Express 200 km/hr theoretical max speed... highest achieved speed 180 km/hr.... the operating speed at present 130 km/hr.. making it fastest in service. Second only to Bullet train proposed and planned.
New Delhi Bhopal Shatabdi Express is making fastest operational speed though, with the top speed of 150 km/h which might retire soon.

200? really, reaching more than 130 is dangerous in these tracks. Track should be capable of handling 250 or more so that trains can run smoothly around 170 to 190. Very low speeds in Indian trains.
Not only tracks. The locomotives cannot achieve 250+ kmph. So yea. The whole system should be changed.
