Good choice as long as you don't want it too loud. If you want it louder with the A50+ you'll need more sensitive speakers like Polk S15, the originals are on sale right now for $183.
@@NemoPropaganda thanks for this reply, this is very helpfull for noobs as me however i dont understand completely. If i check the Polk S15 and the Emotiva specs they show 88db(S15) and 86db(B1+). that 2db difference should tell me that they aren't very suitable for this amp?
@@robbedoes1985 I think either is okay. Emotiva B1+ is a great speaker but will not play too loud with A50, Polk S15 will play a little louder.
@@NemoPropaganda does that mean that a more sensitive speaker like Klipsch RB 61 (96db) would play better/louder? (i just googled a list of sensitive speakers).
@@robbedoes1985 yes exactly, but some brands like klipsch exaggerate by as much as 6dB so they are still more sensitive at around 90dB. R50M is another good option and Triangle BR03 are also very sensitive.

@@lccjr99 Hi bro, S50 Pro+ is a preamp/dac/streamer. It does not have any amp built in so you would not connect speakers to it. You would connect a power amp to it or an integrated amp and your speakers would connect to those amps. If you're looking for something like the S50 that can also power your speakers you want to look at the A50+ and you have to use the block for speaker wire on that model. There is no alternative, it's very easy to use.
@@NemoPropaganda anything I could use in the same form factor to accomplish that goal? I'm either trying to mount everything behind the TV or on a small fireplace mantle. I have existing built-in speakers with traditional banana clips that can be removed.
@@lccjr99 not really brother, the Arylic A50+ is one of the smallest all in one solutions I've ever come across and has killer sound quality too! It's a bit of a hidden gem. I'd just remove your banana connectors and use the euroblock connector or if you want to be really sweaty about it and keep your bananas you could do bare wire off the euroblock to insulated female bananas then you could keep your speakers terminated with bananas but that's a whole lot of extra work when you could just remove the bananas.
I see this as perfect for things like patio speakers (the reason I’m getting one) or shop speakers. Don’t need super good sound, I have basic waterproof speakers mounted outside, but for me the streaming capability for the price is great.

I have 2 units of A50+ but now i wished this video came out earlier and would have gotten one of the older A50 instead since the pre amp output allows me to hook to an old fashion tube amplifier that i just got!
I would do the S50 instead for your tube amp :) I believe they will be having a sale next week!

Thanks for the suggestion. Got one on black friday and the S50 Pro has 12v trigger that works super well with my old krell solid state amp as a bonus. I did not expect that level of intelligent control.

I'm curious about the S50 Pro +, just as a streamer with Tidal, SPDIF or Toslink out to preamp. Would that be an improvement ( sound quality wise) over the HEOS app from Denon/Marantz?
Hey Mark thank's for the feedback, unfortunately I don't know much about HEOS and how it works, if the price is low enough you can grab one during next weeks sale just to find out though. I know it's a little reckless to just try stuff randomly but it's also fun :)
Would the A50 work well with a set of Triangle Borea BR02's? Looks like a great little amplifier.
as long as you don't need a ton of output yes it should be fine.

thank's Ruck! I've thought about it, I love car audio but it's all DIY so it'd be hard to review a subwoofer as the box and amp each person adds can drastically change the outcome.
I can hook this up to my ankle receiver and stream music with Bluetooth connected to my Wi-Fi that is awesome onkyo
nope, only the old version can be hooked up to a receiver or the S50.

yes, and 4ohm too.
Would the a50 be a good option to drive in ceiling speakers for outdoor patio music and living room indoor speakers for football games or whatever?
No, you'd have to buy 2 for that and then your price goes up to $400 and at that point it makes more sense to just buy a more traditional stereo amp that has an A&B set of speakers like the Yamaha RS202 which is only about $180.
Great vid, I got one after watching. Do you know how to turn off the remote beep? It's loud and distracting 😢
that must be part of an update, mine did not have any tones when making adjustments. Perhaps try emailing arylic and see if there is an option to disable it.

at reasonable volumes yes but this amplifier is a bit downmarket compared to those speakers.
When using multiple arylic amps, can I stream different playlists to different rooms from the same spotify account?
I don't use spotify, i suggest you email aryic and ask them directly. I only use Tidal and Tidal doesn't let you stream your account to more than 1 source at the same time :(
I'm just starting to look into wireless audio for a 1,000 sqft condo. I'm basically listening to audiobooks, youtubing, and some TV. I really only have two rooms I need to have sound in.
Given the wattage of the built in amps on these devices what speakers are decent for my space and and how many units would I actually need? Let's say I want surround sound at my television (in the living-room) but I just want a pair of stereo satellite speakers for the bedroom. Also most of the time I will be consuming content through my Iphone or Ipad.
if you want sound in 2 rooms you'd need 2 amps unless you want to just throw a Sonos One SL speaker in the bedroom which might be the best way to go. They sound great, are fairly compact, and will save you a little money since its an all in one unit.

any amp can drive any speaker, just depends how loud you want it. If you're concerned with power the best sounding and powerful budget amp I've found is the RSL iA255.1, it has an honest 50w RMS per channel at less than 1% THD. Most of these inexpensive little amps rate their wattage at 10% THD which is BS.
Will the Arylic A50+ be a good match for my Wharfedale Evo 4.1? The specs are: nominal impedence 8 ohms, sensitivity (2.83V @ 1M) 87dB, recommended amplifier power 25-100W, bass driver 5″(130mm) woven Kevlar cone, treble driver 30x60mm AMT. I would appreciated any feedback you could provide.
for lower volumes like 75dB in a small room it should be okay.
How would you use this with ceiling speakers? Where would you put it?
it's pretty small, you can put it anywhere you want as long as you run your speaker wires to that location and you have a power outlet.
One thing I would like to see them add is an HDMI ARC.
For $200 and how small this is I don't think its possible but that would be really cool :)
How about a comparaison with the IOTAVX sa3 :D
This has more features since it has a streamer built in but the IotaVX is a better amp in every way and more of a real integrated amplifier with real power. There is no comparison, the IotaVX is superior.
Does the a50 have a remote? And control the volume using tv remote?
yes it has a remote, you can control volume with the TV remote if your TV has variable analog output, if it does not and you want use your TV remote still you need an amp with ARC like the Arylic B50.
Can anyone tell me if the a50+ has auto turn on/off? Last thing I want is to have to grab a second remote to power it on to watch TV.
I can't remember, I think I just left it on when I had it, it only takes up a couple watts.

yeah but you will not be able to play them very loud, LS50 like a litte bit of power but if you keep it around 75dB it should sound very clean.

Fantastic review sir, I don’t worry about the light I’m blind and I can’t see you anyways LOL speaking of being blind, would it be very easy to use the device with my phone if you go to settings accessibility and turn voiceover on would it read to you what the menu is in the app? Thanks for any feedback you can give
good to know, 1 less person is judging me lol. Okay so I use an iphone and i turned on accessibility options for text to speech and it was able to read to me anything I clicked on. I didn't know how to scroll down on the screen so i couldn't get to tidal but I'm guessing you know how to do that. I was able to play music using the on the onscreen prompts and as mentioned the phone read to me everything I clicked on with good accuracy. Hope this helps bro.
