    I agree this is the perfect shop or garage all-in-one streamer, especially with the remote. I bet you would be able to see both the Wiim and Arylic as they both use different versions of the same OS. Great and thoughtful review!

      Hey Chris, yes, it certainly has its place in the market. It is simple and does a good job being exactly what it is, a singular digital solution. Appreciate the watch!

    This thing is fine for using things like Spotify connect, and the other music services to an amp, without using a phone dac. The DAC and sound is much better than any phone, if you are looking for improvement for a second room, etc.

    Thanks Matt. New subscriber.
    Great video! 👍Do you know if the Arylic products will sync with the WIIM Pro or Mini for multi-room audio since they use, apparently, similarly based software?

    • @MattCoykendall1
      @MattCoykendall1  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes same backend on the software but sadly no you can’t pair the two brands for Multi-room

    It needs an Optial or Coax out so that I can use my own DAC, but I do love the USB and ability to play audio files from a thumbdrive.

    I am considering this as a soundbar replacement in my bedroom. I have a TV with analog output and an external amplifier, that only has line level inputs. This could serve as a bluetooth device AND a soundbar, right?

    I am not sure I get the purpose of a streamer: I am present when I listen to music, and so is my phone. I can use that phone to stream, connected to a BT DAC plus a Class D amplifier. If I am concerned about battery life, I can put the phone on the bench and charge it while streaming..

    Hey Matt. Great review. Quick question if you don't mind. I have an older Chromecast audio receiver that keeps dropping the wifi connection so I am thinking of replacing it. I am considering the S10 but wonder if you could clarify something. If I want to stream the sound playing on my phone (for example not an app like spotify) but whatever audio is coming through my phone, will the S10 stream whatevver audio is coming through my phone? I will be more specific. I go to the basic TH-cam app and try to stream a normal TH-cam video to my chromecast and I am in for a world of frustration. I wants me to select the TH-cam music app, or Spotify etc but it has trouble just streaming the audio that is playing on my phone - whatever that may be. (the basic TH-cam app isn't even a selection). As long as I know the S10 will stream whatever audio is playing on my phone I don't need to think about what apps it lists or doesn't list. Thanks again for the great review.

    I'll let you in and everyone else that reads this arylic has hidden secrets that most people don't know about or talk about. I'm sure most people have seen that they also have dyi boards as well that have the same features. That are cheaper the only difference is there isn't a case for it. no big deal just 3d print one but that being said look real close and you will see all the options. there dyi boards have like the optical in and out put the dac board you can add a external volume control and key board bottom control and other options like external anti they have in there add on boards and controls section There also something else look at the dyi boards really close specially at the board lay out then look really close to there pre built arylic units and if you study it really hard you'll see what I'm getting at.🤔😉 They didn't reinvent the wheel to make there prefab units and there more than what meets the eye. I like to think of it as hidden secrets that no other company does. 😉🛠️💯🎶👍✌️. Ps I also messaged arylic and they confirmed it for me. I'm Glade I asked in stead of the pre built units I went with the dyi boards and was able to add all there options for the same price just for there prefab units. I have everything every one is asking for. except a prefab box LoL.

    Not sure why anyone would choose this over the wiim mini though. It seems inferior in every way. Only reason I can think of is if one doesn't have the budget for an external dac

    • @MattCoykendall1
      @MattCoykendall1  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      This one is more for the consumer looking for a simple streamer without worrying about things like external DAC’s, not really for the user with external DAC’s or the one looking for high sample rates. It does have a remote and LAN port though so that’s a plus and at the moment priced around 20% less. I really like this product for pairing with vintage receivers, secondary systems like a garage, gym or casual listening spaces.

    Hello, I'm a little late to the Q&A party. Please advice me; I'm looking for a way to set a budget wireless speaker system to a showroom house. This must be an idiot proof system, so any person can pick the remote and press: On/play. Music source is a plain USB stick with MP3s on it. There will be WiFi, but no phone or spotify/4Stream app for music selection. Only the USB.
    Can this device do the trick???
    I'm thinking of a main device connected to other two paired to regular or active speakers. This is not meant for parties, just ambient music.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi. I have a late 70’s era receiver. Will it work to connect the s-10 to the “tape in” via rca cable? Will I then be able to play music from my apple library or stream from Apple Music or Spotify from my iPhone? Thanks for putting up the video!

      I am not certain on that one, never opened it up. I would say if you want to stay budget and connect to an external DAC go for the WiiM mini, it has the capability out of the box.
