      Brother had a question as you seem to be well traveled .
      I am 44 I have similar build and look to you . As I am not not white , black , Asian .
      Can you make a video or just give me a proper assessment as to the quality of dating abroad ?
      I am here in California on dating apps and it’s worthless .
      I believe my first trip will be to CDMX to learn Spanish .

    Cool video bro !
    From what I see, in The Philippines, most expats chose Cebu City to stay. They compliment whole '' visayas '' region - many beautiful islands - life is chill here.
    Luzon ( Manila ) is big city noise / traffic.
    Mindanao may be dangerous for tourists.

    You can extend your visa in Philippines for 36 months, so you do not have to live and keep on extending your tourist visa, unlike Thailand its very hard to extend Tourist visa or you could get Learning Thai Language or Muai thai visa for 1 year, but visa wise Philippines is very generous

    Bushido, I literally just did exactly what you did. Three weeks in Cebu City before heading to Thailand. I was able to make it to Moal Boal on the island but that's it. Like you I learned about so many other spots worth visiting. . . Siargao, Palawan, so many. I feel just as torn. The slightly lower cost, food quality in terms of healthy food, plus the transportation convince which saves so much time is really hard to beat in Thailand. On the other side of the scale, the zero visa worries and English speaking allows for quicker deeper connections. Solving this riddle makes my brain hurt

    In my opinion the most valuable thing you can do with your channel is compare Latin America with Southeast asia. There are a million videos about one of the other. there's only about three or four people who have made good videos comparing both regions that have had experience with both. And that's out of like 10 years of expat TH-cam. so you could be number five out of all TH-cam

      @@BushidoNomad Awesome. I planned to go to SEA for years. I learned allll about the Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand a bit too. I was supposed to leave March 2020.....
      So I never went to Asia. November 2021 I went to Bogotá to live for 6 months. Then Mexico City for 4 months. And I've been back to Bogotá for three more 2 month trips.
      So I moved from Seattle to San Francisco a year and a half ago and SF is like 40+% Asian. I'm just thinking about going all the time. Colombian girls are completely unreliable. Like completely. Mexicanas make great partners and the food is world class. But Mexico kind of feels like America and it sucks in some ways. South America is better imho

    Does Thailand have better infrastructure than the Philippines like Internet, highway, public transportation, hospitals, etc.? How's the cost of living there? Cheaper? How's the air quality? In Bangkok, you can use public transportation which is a big plus for me. I prefer using public transportation like subway, metro, bus or even Grab or Bolt. I hate driving there. It is not fun and somewhat dangerous. But I agree, most people in Asia are friendly and most countries are safe no violence crime like shooting or robbing.

    • @matthewlee2957
      @matthewlee2957 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Louis, Thailand's infrastructure as in public transport spanks most Western cities (even NYC) and for sure spanks Philippines. In Cebu City at least (not sure about Manilla) you're on foot, in a taxi or a Moto taxi and that's it. And the traffic can be really really bad quite often. Best to pick the right area in Cebu City (most go for IT Park or Ayala Mall) and stay in that area to avoid an hour plus taxi ride. Internet is manageable in Philippines but you can suffer at certain Airbnbs while Thailand is top notch like USA. My current hotel in BKK is 300MB/s on Wifi! Hospitals are not contest with Thailand taking the crown for the best in South East Asia perhaps second to Singapore (not sure exactly).
      Air quality is on the top the list for "downsides" in Bangkok in particular. The locals and long term expats suggest to wear N95 level mask if walking on busy streets like Sukhumvit. I don't personally feel it affecting me after 3 weeks here but smart people I trust say it's an issue if you're going to spend a lot of time here. The concern is the size of the pollution is a nano particle called PM2.5 that apparently can pass the blood brain barrier. (don't quote me on this) I'm not sure how Cebu compares statistically in air quality but I imagine it's in a similar category.
      Last the value in Thailand is much higher as its on average 10-20% less expensive with a 20-40% uptick in quality in my opinion compared to Philippines. Thailand is a well oiled machine for tourism, moving around the country and just about every other aspect while Philippines is a bit less developed and efficient but that adds to the adventure factor.
      Bushido, love your content, appreciate your insights.

    • @BushidoNomad
      @BushidoNomad  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Thailand is smoking Cebu for infrastructure. But the air here in Cebu seems much cleaner than Bangkok

    • @BonVoyage861
      @BonVoyage861 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@matthewlee2957That's not really true. Outside of Bangkok and tourist areas it quickly goes to dirt roads/potholed roads, sparse or non existent train service, overhead power line spaghetti (even in much of BKK) roads in poor condition. What is true is that things work in Thailand and it's comfortable, unlike the Philippines. The internet speeds are on par or higher than most Western countries.
