I feel like that would require a tremendous amount of control and knowledge about actual physics. The control part I can imagine but the physics part not so much. Then again, it could be that he's 'mastered' his powers to a level where he instinctively knows how much power he needs to put in.
Saitama's never portrayed as someone with any above average knowledge or skill, but despite his title he is capable of not obliterating everyone/thing he punches indiscriminately. Along with his godlike strength he must have an inhuman level of self-control, so it's possible he does have such mastery of his powers.

You're talking about how fast he is when, in one episode, he literally sidejumped so fast, he made multiple afterimages of himself.

Lightning189 yeah, but i also calculated the approximate speed that Saitama had to deliver to have that much after image, so according to some source on the internet, you'll have to move about 1000 meters per second to have two after image of yourself, so i counted Saitama's after image is about 60, so we can take 60 times 1000 and then divide it by 2 and get approximately 30000m/s, about 87 times the speed of sound( Mach 87)

Let me just say something there is literally no limit to his strength, it even said it in the show he does not have limiters just by moving a finger he gets infinite strength from the exercise of moving that one finger. Also the scientific term for limiter is a limit plateau limiting strength, speed, growth, and everything else that shape us into what we are.
It's true saitama has no limit what he is trying to say is what is the strongest punch saitama can throw before he destroys the entire universe and even then saitama would probably be just fine
His strength isn’t unlimited he still needs to practice to gain more strength, cause when Garous limiter broke he wasn’t as strong as saitama
he doesn't have limitless strength. in OPM universe the God has put a limiter to all character's growth potential. let's say that your actual potential is 10. the God has put a limiter to your potential and now it's 3, and no matter how hard you train you will never go beyond 3. this is how the limiter works in OPM. Saitama removed the limiter that was limiting his potential. also, in the manga that is ahead from season 2 of the anime Saitama himself said that there's no strong opponent to fight and push him to reach further heights. this means he has hit a limit in growth and he needs a strong opponent to push him to surpass his current limit.
and infinite works differently than you think. there are 0 - infinite dimensions(dimensional scale) and each higher dimension is infinite times greater than the preceding one. even if a 3-dimensional character has infinite 3-dimensional power(the strongest 3-dimensional character), once he goes in the 4th or above dimension he doesn't have infinite power. his power is finite and it can even be 0. only the Omnipotent has true infinite power cause it's not bound in dimensions. non-Omnipotent characters are bound in dimensional scale so they don't have infinite power in the entire existence. the Omnipotent does, and can even go infinity * infinity.

If I remember correctly, he got hit by a knee after some combo attack. The knee flew him to the moon and (again, if I remember correctly) it took less than a second. It was the very next cut/scene showing him colliding with the moon.

Saitama broke this limiter meaning that he can receive as much power as he wants over time without strain. This doesn't magically grant him unlimited power. It essentially means that every time he trains, he'll get stronger and there's no limit to how much he can improve. But there will always be a cap on his power no matter what but he can increase that cap if he puts the effort in. So basically he has unlimited potential, not power. And from what we've seen, he's only able to bust a planet. Until he shows more feats, that's the level he's at.
Also nobody said that he will always be stronger than who he fights, that's just some made up fan rumor that was never said by the author. One snap from thanos and he's dead.

well an actual guide (one punch man compus) states that boros' beam can destroy a star: and newtons third law states that every action has an equal and opposite reaction which means that saitama punching through that beam means that he can easily destroy a star. (since its stated by saitama that he was holding back still against boros)

+Bobby Talboy You're not really making much sense other than that Goku has managed to mostly beat fodder, but loses to the big boys most of the time. And his fight vs Hit isn't really debatable. Goku stated that without the rules, he would've probably lost. Well he lost anyway but he couldn't keep up his SSJBlue form. Even at the start of the fight before Hit had become as strong as he did by the end, he could've killed Goku if there was no rules that forbade it.
Yeah, the fans act like he's this unbeatable force, but his character is more about what you do after you're beaten, really.

I always thought of Saitama as a hero who's strength changed in proportion to whatever or whoever he was fighting. Basically, he would get stronger depending on the threat, eventually reaching a near infinite state of one punchedness.

At least the telekinesis (or i think it was actually Gravity Manipulation) of that alien Octopus humonoid from Boros' ship didn't face him at all. The story isn’t about how strong he is, its about finding joy after you get your wish... if you want knowledge and wished to know everything what fun would the world be when you already knew everything... it’s like playing a video-game with god mode on, sure it’s fun for a bit but a few years in you’d just want to play something else. Siatama cannot stop playing though, and nothing is a challenge (except finding a crime to stop), that’s what the show is about.

So if we do use the opening scene that shows his glove color shifting it should be pointed out that he did something similar but it was rapid fire. Now putting aside the fact that multiple near light speed punches is already pretty insane if he can do it as rapidly as shown it stands to reason that he can throw a single much stronger punch. I’m not gonna do the math but I’m pretty certain he can easily do an infinite mass punch or maybe even greater. I’m half convinced he can tear a hole in space and time with ease.

Boros kicked him to the moon in like a second imo, but he got back in pretty much an instant, after testing the gravity so he didn't annihilate the moon, in the video it's counting the time between when it shows different scenes, but if you actually watch the anime, Saitama jumps from the moon and you can instantly see a trail halfway from the moon to earth and its implied he got to earth nearly that quick, it just shows what happened on earth while Saitama was waiting on the moon

You should use the scene where he uses serious series: serious punch. Basically he creates a pressure wave with his fist that is so dense that its capable of refracting light. I'd like to know what that costs, seeing as how it technically could be possible.

In the english dubs of the complete intro song I find, it's a constant that not only will "I'll stay, until I taste the dirt of defeat someday", but less quotably due to different paraphrasing, the power of the gods resides within him, and in some interpretations, the mortal man I used to be has died, the gods reside within my fist tonight, so just with one of his fists, the power of gods plural. You how you can technically count above infinity by categorizing it as every number in sequence then putting omega after that, then doing that in sequence, and getting infinite infinity? Yeah, Saitama could either punch with infinitely more force than infinity, or more than that, depending on how many gods reside within Saitama, within the plural usage. Also because of this technically a theory to Saitama's strength, potentially everything regarding his powers can be done perfectly the first time, depending on what he's intending to do, meaning he might not even have to put any force into anything, unless the point is he can just infinitely change up his attacks with infinite prep time due to being a speedster. Also, he's a speedster. Also, I like thinking of the song as literal, and he can only die when the impossible happens, or he faces Mr Bean, who can defeat ANY opponent. I say defeat because he might not be able to kill OPM, depending on how gods might work in the OPM universe.
I like and appreciate your effort, but you seem to have overlooked that he didn't stop the meteor, but threw a punch that shattered it with concentrated force in the middle. That was one of my favorite parts about that scene, because he just poker-faced the city exploding around him. Not trying to hate.
