Welcome to my Ironman run of Fire Emblem 8, Hard Mode. The rules for this run are simple, I cannot reset under any circumstances. Any units lost are gone forever. If I get a game over, the run is over, and I have to begin all the way from the start. Additionally, to make it more challenging, I’ve upped the growth rates of enemies by 30%.

@@Miimu5210 Actually, Cormag, as a recruitable enemy unit, DOESN'T benefit from +30% enemy growths! Mangs just got unlucky on an 11% chance.

XD, he died at the last level to the final boss at FE6, at battle at dawn that is in the last third of FE7, and know dies at like the half of FE8, in the next one he is dying at the 4th level.

I mean the first two are still true. But cormag is great even better as he saved mangs from raging at the ghost ship. How considerate
Forde isn't a bad unit
Allen the Cavalier watch Mekkah’s video on it. Forde isn’t exactly a bad unit, but for Mekkah he always ends up just short of the stat benchmarks needed in FE8 to double, one round etc.
I personally really like Forde and he’s my favourite cav in FE8.
@@CosmicToad5000 no he's not a bad unit but he's always just never good enough. He's average and in a game that's so easy being never able to one round things because your slightly off is annoying
@@ashra8281 he also faces competition from seth (who has all the advantages of a jagen and none of the drawbacks) and franz (who has much better availability). not bad, just overshadowed
FE6: makes it to chapter 22.
FE7: makes it to chapter 28* (technically 18 because no Lyn mode)
FE8: makes it to chapter 10.
Man, the rate of game over is increasing pretty fast.

Cormag wasnt affected by the +30% though, so Mangs bad
I mean he's not wrong the only competitor is POR but that has maniac mode and grinding > bonus experience

Both Birthright and PoR are a million times easier than FE8. I don't think there's even a way to actually lose a unit in those games.

And this, kids, is what happen when you have Seth do all the jobs instead of training your units and have them getting doubled by all enemies units in later chapters
And now he plans a Thracia Iron Man run, even though he failed FE 8. He will get destroyed.
Considering how far he made it in Binding Blade compared to Blazing and Sacred Stones, he might make it farther than you think.
@@rhoa3952 the way chapter 4 and 4x are designed hes going to lose units. Its virtually up to rng; if lifis or lara dies his life will be hell in manster
Hiromasa He’ll be able to live through it, cause Leif with all the earlygame statboosters and Light Brand is an absolute monster early on, but he’s definetly getting some people killed. That last room in Chapter 4, first room in 4x and pretty much all of Chapter 5 (if you don’t have Evyel strategically kill all the arena enemies before being stoned) will be an absolute meat-grinder.

Its also clear he has played this one the least. He didnt move tana to recruit cormag, he didnt see the horse reinforcements coming on the first fog of war, etc... playing 30% growths like that was a bit ambitious haha

Mangs’ greatest enemy: anything that has anything to do with wyverns
As far as I can see, this is a good experience on unit positioning. You always have to make sure the enemy can’t fire on your squishy units, and be careful in moving up. This is triply true on fog of war maps, since map designers love to put enemies in spots only a devil would dare, and unless you have a map you don’t know where in the area they could be. Pretend every single fog of war square as an enemy that can one tap your healers and fliers, unless they are rather tanky fliers and bows don’t spell instant death.
The Paper Mario "lucky" is amazing. Also, I can't wait for the hour Ironman run of Shadow Dragon.

To avoid deaths, calculate the enemies’ movement range. Look at the combat forecast.
And check inventory.
and do not enter your unit into arena if the price exceeds 800 gold (difficulty is relative to entry cost)
