    Babies, especially newborns and other very young ones, are not supposed to sleep through the night. Their stomach is tiny and they need frequent feedings. Everyone should know this before entering parenthood.

      The term - sleep through the night for babies means, waking up to feed and going back to sleep without being awake and this has been mentioned in the video. Pls chk 2.30 minutes in the video

    Hii, my baby is 40 days old and he is sleeping more than 4 hours continuously at night even he is not waking up for feed. He is also gaining weight well. I'm forcefully waking him up to feed. And that is so hard to wake him. Is it ok to let him sleep and after how many hours I should wake him up for feed.

    • @Babypedia
      @Babypedia  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If your baby is gaining enough weight that you can let your baby sleep for a stretch of 5hrs during the night(Only night). There has to be adequate feeds during the day

      Good Sleep is not about sleeping through the night. It is about going back to sleep easily when they wake up for reasons like breastfeeding, transitioning from one sleep cycle to the next, etc

      Feed frequently during the day so that nights will be sleep

      You can try this if you want. Heat coconut oil in a laddle and switch off the flame add small piece of pachai karpooram (not the normal camphor, you can get it from nattu marundhu shop). After melting down rub the oil in baby's chest, back,feet and slightly in nose. It will clear the nose block and baby can sleep well. It always worked for my baby.

      This is something you should your pediatrician, it could be a symptom of URI too. Just saline drops wont do if its something else.
      Feeding right before putting the baby to sleep could also be a reason.
