I am a mother of an Autistic Son, and Sebastians case has upset me a lot. I have raised him he is now 28. It hasn’t been and isn’t easy at times still, however he has a job in a local pub working in the kitchen, he drives and owns his own car he is also a trained and registered Reiki Master his passion is helping people and animals that are in pain or have medical conditions. I cannot tell you all how proud i am of him❤ he is and will always be socially awkward but he is a contented happy and amazing young man.😊

Either they are or he likes to make others believe that to cause fear, ward off etc.
Which is something abusers like to do to make them seem important or to intimidate others into feeling alone or let them know they are in charge to discourage others from reaching out to those persons.
To alienate those that they are worried about getting too close to certain info they're trying to hide.
Manipulation tactics.. just as Narcissists will convince others that the person they are abusing is crazy & they're the abuser to enlist those people to attack the victim.

Chris has narcissistic personality disorder and he believes he can con anyone to do what he wants then to do. My ex is the same way. He would rage on me and when I'd call the cops, he'd tell me he was going to press charges against me and that they would arrest me and not him. It's their traffic for trying to manipulate people, gaslight them, and control them.

Peter, as a special needs mother, this case is so touching and hard for me. I checked myself into a rehab facility when I was pregnant with my child and got away from his father. I gave my heart to Christ and when my son was 3 years old, I was sent an amazing husband. He adopted my son and is the most amazing Father to him. My son is non verbal and 10 years old. I just can’t imagine bringing a man like Chris into my son’s life and the damage that could have been done to my son. Our son thrives on our household being steady, calm, and loving. I’m sure Sebastian was suffering so much. There are wonderful men of God who can step into the Father role but, Chris is the opposite of the man I married. Thank you, Peter.❤

While I fully agree as a special needs Mom …. We only know what this family looks like in crisis. We don’t know what they look like during good times. People talk a lot about the CPS issues but I’ve known some special needs family and some of them just have a lot of CPS cases because their kid is special needs but not because they’re bad parents. The best example I can think of is a patient I had that refused to wear pants shorts only and no socks. He would eat only certain textures. His Mom had a CPS case because he wore shorts in freezing weather. The case was dismissed quickly because he does have a great home and fantastic parents but it still looked like neglect from the outside even though it wasn’t. I can’t defend Chris or Katie but I can also realistically look at the crisis this family is in and rationally understand we are seeing them at their worse.

    • @chickapeas5646
      @chickapeas5646 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@Sarahgw I have not accused them of anything. I do believe we have heard and seen enough of Chris to get a feel for he is. He did admit to one CPS, being about hitting Sebastian with a belt. They neighbors have a called CPS due to Sebastian being sprayed with a pressure washer by Chris, while he yelled “Katie come get your retard”, and Sebastian being made to sleep on a mattress in the garage due to Chris not wanting to smell his pee from peeing on himself. I heard a phone call of a raging lunatic threatening a PI and Seth the father. I have seen abuse before and this guy is an abuser. I saw it the first time he spoke. Making Sebastian wear a pull up all the time due to accidents. We were told by Sebastian’s father he was abused sexually in the mother and stay fathers care. I am certain we have heard and seen more than enough to say, Chris is just a nightmare for this child. Never said he killed him. I have seen and heard a plenty to make that assumption. I have followed this case from day one and have seen and heard enough from Chris Proudfoot to know he is not a good person. I’m 48 years old and didn’t just fall off the turnip truck.

I've never heard of a parent putting a kid out of the house a punishment. But hearing about the mattress in the garage and bathroom accidents, it makes more sense. My child has Autism and other medical issues. I know how tough it can be when dealing with incontinence, washing blankets, clothing, floors etc. It definitely takes patience they I cannot see Chris having.
I will share, for anyone going through this. Right now what's working for us, is a onsie for bigger kids, backwards button up shirt, plastic zip cover that fully encases the bed and can be wiped off, cloth incontinence pads on top of sheets, and we took out carpet replaced with a floor that can be wiped down instead of trying to clean carpet when it's probably gone through the carpet and padding underneath. It's made life easier for everyone and definitely helps with the smell.
I don't think Chris would ever possess the patience for anything to do with Autism. It takes patience and love outside of yourself and being able to work through frustrating times. I believe Chris probably views Autism as bad behavior that can punished away. He probably made every situation worse with yelling and getting physical.

Can you imagine what life must have been like for Sebastain having to live with this man? What CP has said on Podcast for public to heat behind closed doors he us probably 💯times worse. Sadly the focus of this case has turned into a circus of he said she said instead of the priority which is finding Sebastain. I’m a single mom of a 14 year old Autistic son(and 2 older children) this case break’s my heart ! His dad is suffering through a hell that no parent should ever have to endure !!! Raising a child with special needs takes a lot of patience and love ! Not everyone can handle that responsibility !!
In my opinion I think the stepdad is a narcissist ! I don’t believe for one second that Sebastian left that house on his own ! Children with Autism crave structure, routine and often do not like change ! I’m no expert BUT having watched all the interviews with the mother, stepdad and biological dad I believe that the mother and stepdad absolutely had something to do with his disappearance and learning about the stepdad’s past behavior towards his ex-wife’s children and even his own daughter I think this is a very dangerous, controlling and narcissistic man who couldn’t handle a child with special needs and him and the mother got rid of the problem(being Sebastian)!! Sebastian reminds so many of children they know or have known including myself. Alternately, Chris reminds too many of us of someone we deeply regret having known. An abusive ex or abusive parent. So there's an extraordinary level of high emotion. The relevance of the mother's lack of urgency, failure to plead for Sebastian's return, reticence about speaking in general and ever-changing stories got lost in the outcries about less meaningful things. Katie holds the answer, in my opinion. Until she is charged with his disappearance we won't learn anything new. Thanks Peter Hyatt.

@@MichelleHayden-vu9rs They didn't do an extensive nor thorough search of the landfill either. They were only there for 1 day for just a few hours. I don't know if you followed the Quinton Simon case in Georgia or not? The Police dept in that case brought in a special team from the FBI, and police and those FBI agents searched a landfill for many weeks, everyday, to finally find Quinton's remains. Quinton's Mother was then arrested and charged for murdering Quiton and dumping him in a trash dumpster. She is currently awaiting trial. That's the difference between LE in other States, and LE in Tennessee. Police in other States do whatever they can to find the missing child. Including getting their hands dirty for weeks on end, searching a landfill for the remains ofa child. Tennessee Police depts and Sheriffs depts just do not try very hard to find the missing in that State. They are very lazy it seems. They don't put the effort in to get answers in a case. That's why if you look at the number of missing children in Tennessee, you will be absolutely shocked. There are hundreds of missing kids there. And very few of those cases have been solved, nor have the missing children ever been found.

We already know the mom is lying, the stepdad is like a Disney villain on steroids in a horror movie, we get that, AND?! Everyone needs to put their energy into finding Sebastain!! I don't think he's alive so there's only so much time left to find the body before it becomes bones and becomes even harder to find. If he was alive, I'd be worried cause who would he be with and where is he? How would he still be alive rn? I don't want him to be gone but it seems clear something bad happened to him. If he ran away and got lost and slipped and died, then how come they can't find him anywhere? If he wandered he wouldn't be able to hide his own body so well that no one can find him. I mean it's possible I guess but there IS a reason he's not been found yet.

I do think Sebastian had to endure so much mental abuse, and physical abuse. Especially when Chris stated about him hitting Sebastian with a belt. The first story about hitting Sebastian, that child services was called was “recently” and it was because he lied about a belt, and told the school, that would have made Sebastian be at the ages of 14-15 years old, then Chris told Nancy Grace that it was “a couple years ago” and he couldn’t remember for sure what it was about, which would’ve made Sebastian between the ages of 11-14 years old. To many inconsistencies in his stories.

None of this makes any sense! Is this all a Hoax? I would be more attentive to my child than what this woman has shone!! This case seems very fishy to me. It does Imo remind me of the Summer Wells Case. I just pray this young man is still alive and hopefully he will be found. This case makes no sense at all! Imo these family members all know where Sebastian is and exactly what has happened to him. Their actions speaks louder than words to me. Just hope law officials are keeping a very close watch on all these parents and the grandma too. Why did Katy leave the house and not stay home just in case young Sebastian came back? It's sick that parents of missing children acts as though they could care less. Oh I hope the truth will come very soon as the only one that matters is Sebastian and it's sad that the loving and caring people around the world shows more concern and love for these missing children than the child's own parents and family members. Dear Father GOD in JESUS name please bring These children back and I pray that those guilty WILL Pay for the crimes they commit.

It's not often discussed how S... Abuse takes on many different forms. In my 20s I knew a woman who was obsessed with her 4 year old child's bodily functions. She was always criticizing harshly and insistently how he didn't chew his food enough and how he would get blocked up if he didn't chew better. I found out later that she was doing touching and enemas on him to punish him for not chewing. She presented that as preventing constipation. He was a bed wetter but was not sick otherwise and didn't have gastric issues. I babysat him often for days on end. He told me about this when he was older. I never suspected.
I later learned it can be many other things that do not ressemble what we might think of. It can range from simili "care", to playing "games" as you mention and to not allowing the child proper privacy, like making one go about with not enough or no clothes on including around people, or forcing the child to expose themselves under false pretenses.

@@iconc1402 Off topic a bit but so glad I read your comment. I just lost my mom last month and she never got the hang of texting, commenting, basic keyboard etiquette. It just reminded me of me telling her the very same thing many times. Lol. Truly, thank you for that. 💕💕

Not like anyone can hear it! It's a means to make sure your words stand out and are more likely read. @@iconc1402

@@iconc1402 My mum has to text in capital letters due to her being registered blind. Maybe the o.p has sight issues or arthritis in their fingers? Even if it's neither your comment is unwarranted and not necessary.

It would be really interesting to hear the call when sebastian first went missing

Indeed. It should be subject to FOIA, if it was recorded at all, but maybe not subject to FOIA while it's under investigation.

Mr Hyatt, I am so tired of being accused of victim blaming by people on the internet that scream “Stop blaming the parents!!!!”
Parents of missing children have to, especially with the numerous red flags such as this one, Summer Wells, expect this.
There is something afoul here. I don’t know anything about the psychology of abused children, or abusive parents. But, my common sense, and gut is my barometer of something is off. Thank God you break it all down with your knowledge.

The reward was so low it should be embarrassing to the parents.

There was no 911 call. He called the local Sheriff's Office. KP was on 'mute', but CP told her to go home because police were coming. If she was listening, she would have known they were coming. I would like to know the Alibi for not being at the home that night. Is it because his truck was seen at his camper. If so, a freight train can be run through that!
This investigation has been anything but thorough and professional, including CP referring to Officers on first name terms. There is a definite conflict of interest.

The farther back one goes into Sebastian’s life the more evidence or lack thereof becomes apparent.
