I've always wished they'd just used a different rendition of this song in every opening of the series and pushed this as the theme song of the franchise but sadly they instead chose to forget all about it. Finally there's another version of it. Thank you for covering it, V.

I saw this comment and now I'm sad they didn't do this... but it's possible the song isn't entitely owned "in-house", that perhaps they'd have to pay license money to some other owner if they wanted to re-use it and figured it wasn't worth it, so they just make up new themes instead.
Though if they actually do own it and aren't using it, SOMEONE in BamCo management better Offer Their Spirit in recompense....
Absolutely agree they should'e kept it, Soul Blade/Edge easily has the best intro in the franchise. Imagine if Soul Calibur VII opens with a version of ''The Edge of Soul'' people would lose their fucking mind, me included!🤟🏻
@@goranisacson2502 i think they couldve done it. Most games have soundtracks from licensed music and/or musicians did new songs just for the game. I think someone was being greedy or cheap. No real excuse not to have different versions of same song, if done right, in a series as big as Soul Edge/Blade/Calibur.

For YEARS I've wanted a modern metal cover of this that was decent. Just a decent one...and I was rewarded with a masterpiece that transcends history and time, almost as if the original version sounded like a cover. This is how you do a damn cover of this song holy hot damn.

the game is massively underrated and had so much hidden stuff to unlock they havent made a soul caliber that lived up to how amazing soul edge was to me but thats my 2 cents and mostly based on story/adventure mode comparison
The Soul Edge series is way better than that overrated Dood. You do not need to be a "Dood" to love Soul Edge/Blade/Calibur.

I didn't even realize soul calibur 2 was the same series at first. So happy I took a chance getting the game but never bought tekken 3 back then. Instead I rented it few times. Did have MvC too though

I think it's safe to say that the main intro for Soul Blade in terms of score and visuals, is perhaps one of the greatest opening cinematics and themes of all time.

Man I was not expecting this one. Souledge was one of my favorite games as a kid and I never skipped the intro. I've had the original on my playlists for who knows how long and now I'll add this one too.
After Two years I am back to listen to this song again and still be shocked deeply.
Been going down the youtube rabbit hole with your videos lately ever since I saw Boom Boom and Cotton-eyed Joe and a few others. I told myself "one more Little V vid before I go to bed" and ... oh my gosh, did I hit the jackpot with that thought. And this really will be my last video for the night because it's hard to top this one. Never have I ever literally cried tears of joy from a cover song until now. This game is MY CHILDHOOD (and also maybe a lifelong obsession) and sadly I don't know many people who even know this song, so to just find such an amazing cover of this has truly rocked my world.
