Now what I have heard of, and I'm not sure if this is true, was that Sonic Youth was intended to be the main theme for Sonic Generations.

Bro, you've helped me to understand what crush40's been saying this whole time. Back in the dreamcast days, we couldn't just look up the lyrics, and I haven't thought about this song a ton until now.
How perfect this is for a fight against Perfect Chaos, I do like the original Crush 40 version and the remake they did for Sonic Generations, but this cover speaks to me. Yes, this is a fight that you can't lose, you know that the fate of the world rests on your shoulders, nothing exemplifies this better than metal. Great cover V, can't wait for the next Sonic song cover!
I know a trick. Just lower the game's music volume to zero and then replace the original song with this song.
