I hope you all enjoy this upload! I think this may be my favorite episode yet on the channel. I had an exceptionally fun time researching and putting it together and I don't think it turned out half bad! Let me know what your thoughts on Coral are, and what else you'd like to see covered from the world of Armored Core or elsewhere in fiction! Looking forward to hearing your thoughts! :)
I think you are meant to think that in AIE, Raven has become Coral, especially because one of Dolmayan's logs talks about being able to join Seria after achieving Coral Release.
Sentient spice melange! Hope you can do more Armored Core videos soon! As if the world of Cyberpunk ain’t bad enough, imagine if any of the corporations had their hands on ACs, NEXTs and MTs. That or it would’ve been largely the same.
13:45 ayre is a c wave mutation so she’s sentient and also a conscious being. Coral is sentient but it’s not like ayre and Father Dolmayan’s gf, so I think the ibis is coded and programmed to do a specific thing and the coral is just following that directive. It’s not sentient enough to freely control the CEL mech for its own will cause it doesn’t really have its own will
It wouldn’t make sense to give coral a means to fight back against the Institute, but they do because the institute knows that it can’t. The institute knows it’s sentient but like I said it’s not really conscious, so wouldn’t it be strange if the institute was dumb enough to give coral such a powerful weapon unless they knew the coral couldn’t manage to fight back
Ayre’s comment seems to suggest coral is not a hive mind, just an endless ocean of individuals locked in ceaseless chorus. Still horribly drowning individuality, but without a unifying will.
Awesome video! I think the meaning and correlations you’ve pointed out about Coral’s name are pretty spot on, building on that, I kind of see a parallel between Coral’s design as a mass of small orbs or sparks and real life’s coral way of reproducing, how it disseminates into the ocean.
Sounds like a great idea! I'll keep it in mind! I had previously thought of something similar, perhaps covering all the factions, like Balam, Arquebus, RaD and the like in a video, but not the the way tou outline. Great thoughts thank you!
I honestly love your cyberpunk lore videos and now your doing my next favourite game, AC6! Personally id love more AC6 lore videos and Cyberpunk stuff. C:
Just watched the cyberpunk stuff on bartmos and smasher. Love the way you present the lore. Haven’t played AC but the lore always seemed really interesting
I think this creator is onto something when it comes to coral in game real life parallels. The coral reef in real life (along with alge I think I forget I learned this all in middle school) are what produce more oxygen on earth than trees, and with climate change will affect the habitat
I think it's kelp, not algae to my knowledge but yes, they produce immense amounts of oxygen. I'm glad spmeone got what I was trying to get at with the real life parallels too!
I’m curious on how people think coral would interact with kojima particles or otherwise how coral powered weaponry would compared to NEXT weapons. They seem to have advantages on each end.
ACs aren't really massive, they are two to four stories tall on average which isn't very big for a mech. I think you fell into the trap most people have when talking about Coral by assuming its something good for humanity when the "true end" implies we've been consumed by the Coral.

I’d like to see you discuss some of the factions and corporations such as either Balam Industries or Arquebus Corporation.

Great video, i hope u make more AC series videos. I wonder u interested making each faction in ac6 (Vespers/RedGuns/RLF/Overseer/Branch) for an idea

Thanks for covering the lore for someone like me who didn't play AC but interested in that world!

This channel is criminally undersubbed. Great job and thank you for your amazing work
Thank you! I really appreciate that!
Great video!!!!
Just found your channel, instant sub
Thank you!
So coral was the dark star in dark souls dark lord ending…….fascinating!
I’m curious on how people think coral would interact with kojima particles or otherwise how coral powered weaponry would compared to NEXT weapons. They seem to have advantages on each end.
Yeah they certainly are very similar in principle.
WWWWWWWWW video bro as always
Thank you! I'm so excited about this one, I think it turned out pretty good!

Why's being consumed by Coral inherently a bad thing I wonder?
