FYI in patch 13 Rampage is mislabeled and is +power so you gain damage AND cleave. Momentum is underrated, though you certainly don't need it. I like the idea of using it on a tanky build.
you should work in that 'on taking damage, heal 25% of that damage over 5 seconds' perk into this build. Combined with alot of wounds and 'damage that would take your health to the next wound is reduced by 50%' you can take damage, have it reduced by 50%, then have your health regenerate back up into the next wound, allowing the 50% reduction to trigger again
The one alternative I’ll offer. Is using the Revolver in place of the shotgun. The revolver does take a bit of skill, but. Being able to just dome gunners and most elites in one shot can really turn a battle to your favor quickly. It also does good damage against things like crushers. Again it’s not a forgiving weapon. You only have 5 rounds and if you miss that can ruin your day. Again. However you can counter the reload with blessings.
Wild choice but hear me out... Las Pistol sidearm Pinpoint accuracy, no recoil, fastest reload of any gun (that i know of), ~20+ shots to spam headshots at key targets the rare time you need it, impressive movespeed while aiming, ez cross map sniper bombboy or dog kills when needed Significantly better than the old Laspistol that was forced to only be a starter weapon
I love the Agripinna for its ability to blow open Bulwark Shields and knock anything on its ass/heavy stagger that isn’t a monstrosity on weak point hits…if it survives the first shot of course
Consider ditching your right column options at the top and consolidating then into Punishment and Sustained Assault. Far more value than some toughness bonus per kill and back stab damage which you are not captilizing. I would also suggest picking up martyr purpose as you have no way of reducing combat ability. The power you get from punishment and sustained attack far outweigh the cons of slightly less durability as you out damage and increase impact letting you manhandle hordes and larger targets for efficiently. Best of luck out there!
I mean, the two points top right are low efficiency with a non backstabbing build so that 2 points to get Punishment. This gets you more, take a point out of the 7.5% heavy toughness regen and that's three points which is enough to get both. To each there own, after over 600 levels of Zealot, I know you can play this clas however you want really. Wasting points in backstabbing and additional toughness assuming you get the kill versus scaling damage and power doesn't seem worth it. If you're top scared of dying, you aren't min maxing the classes incredible potential. Either way if it works for you, that's great.
If i understand that skill that reduces health that would make you go below a wound by 50% then what if you just get maximum wounds and the skill that heals 25% of damage you take, and the keystone you took making you almost permanently have that 50% health damage reduction and the bonuses from gaining wounds.
That trick of dashing after the initial hit with the Eviscerator is news to me! Being able to one-shot a Crusher is a game changer. Awesome guide. I've been playing my Zealot as Martyrdom almost exclusively since the patch and I like what you've done with the talent tree. Shield of Contempt is so strong it feels like I'm throwing the game if I don't take it. I think my favorite thing about this talent spread is that it can work well with many weapon loadouts. You can easily run a Thunder Hammer and Flamer for armor one-taps and horde clear without having to muck around building a new talent tree and curios. On my trinkets I go full wounds to maximize Martyrdom of course, but also for more 'uptime' on Bleed for the Emperor. I skipped sniper resist since getting hit means BftE is gonna trigger anyway for 50%DR. With all the BftE procs I've found that it's usually chip damage that can really mess me up. Looking forward to more content. 👍
I like how the chosen talents are explained a bit further, as I just tend to glance over things and dont even realise how a talent like Bleed for the Emperor can help out with those hard hitting shots from snipers.
I'm still preferencing the crit aura over martydom but I'm with you on rampage + momentum. I've been experimenting with maximizing crit potential but I find i always come back to rampage over shred/bloodletter. The damage boost is easier to trigger and more powerful imo, and I still get 30-60% criti chance with the bleed talent
I rather use savage sweep instead of momentum. You just slice the entire horde in half with it. Martyrdom build suffers from no CD reduction, with crit build while it obviously does less damage you’re much more mobile and can pretty much use the dash ability every few hits as long as you have the horde to proc the critical hits.
I accidentally got into the habit of turning my camera in tune with my eviscerator swings, i think its improved the overall quality of my gameplay whether measurable or purely psychological. Feels like I'm hitting more enemies and even if not i don't see any negative effects.
Good build but personally I am not a fan of martyrdom. My personal clutch build centers around shroudfield for the stealth clutch res and. Building around crit bleed for damage with flame grenade.
What do you think about using Restoring Faith at the top instead of Good Balance and Vicious Offering to increase survivability e.g. when using something different than the eviscerator as melee weapon.
The crusher had a buff and is now a damnation monster, can bonk a t5 crusher very quickly, throws maniacs around for an easy cleanup, it might even do more dps than a Thammer. Heavy sword and combat knife is also legit on damnation+, and chainsword just feels like a better eviscerator. I think you're just not experimenting enough or your builds aren't made to emphasize a weapons strength as almost every zealot weapon is viable to some extent.
Youd be surprised how clutch devil claw is on damn. Paired with hand cannon blessing on stub. You can go 1v1 with hosts and monstrosities on damnation, id even say its the most stable damnation build currently
Hmmm I disagree with quite alot of your choices, but thats buildcrafting. Personally I think the Eviserator works best with a critbuild, but thats personal choice I guess. Interesting, that you went for Holy Rev, Shield of Contempt and Thy Wrath be Swift. I absolutely love Thy Wrath be Swift, but I feel like you´re giving up too much to get all 3. I dont think I could ever play a build without Holy Rev and Shield of Contempt is absolutely busted as well, so I decided to cut out Thy Wrath be Swift. But hey its a good build, if you can succed in Maelstrom with it, so who am I to judge. 😉
I heard people say veteran is currently the weakest class in the game and seeing the talents on the zealot I'm inclined to agree( I mostly play veteran and on auric damnation) zealot fills it's role perfectly as the melee damage dealer and the veteran should be the range damage deal but it's just not because it requires you to hit head shots to max it's damage out put which really brings it down because head shots are much more inconsistent that body shots but when they finally fix the veteran there is one change that would fix everything about it going forward and that's by giving him a skill that makes body shots count as weakspot hits.
Zealot is my main and favourite class, but I have to disagree. Vet with any of the infantry autoguns, dumdum and raking fire coupled with an infiltrate build, absolutely destroys anything.
@@flaminbutt I'm not saying it can't destroy or even clutch games but it's the huntsman issue from vermintide 2(I main huntsman) the skill level to main that class well is really high, most people are gonna get turned off vet especially when levelling him up because he's just a little under baked and hard to get going. That might change when they give him keystones though.
vet is the most overpowered class ingame, it clutches, revives without touching you, destroys dozens of ogryns, kills specials, sweeps away horde - i wana see a zealot killin a dozen of crushers with 1-2 nades in a sec and then replenish them instantly cause of perk
@@mastercat8849 yeah I'd agree with that considering that I play a plasma vet and I've stacked walls of crusher kills but my only issue with the vet is since the update, the talent tree got shuffled in such an awkward way that it's gonna be san up hill climb to build him up again. The only other thing I take issue with the vet is how squishy he is.
my advice would be take battlecry from the middle boost it to give defences and take perk to +20% revive speed on right side if stacked with your curio that would be +50% - means you shouting then you have time for revive easily or if in cd 1 nade to stagger then revive - ez clutches, im doin sly marbo cosplays myself and only melee while usin machineguns for fun but now its even more viable for melee only playthroughs also take all nade perks and kraknade (you can skip boosted nades since you have % to throw two nades and 3 nades in total) plus %to get a nade after elite meanin if there are some dense crushers comin your way and you spend all your nades you will get all of em back as soon as they blew up also cause of warcry its so ez to melee bosses now, cause you stagger em on shoutin. somehow i dont feel the shooter build viable anymore on auric tho, gameplay changed alot yeah@@oranguman9360

*to stack as much lifesteal* - picking a single lifesteal perk that exists... is this malice or heresy footage? basing on your random grenade throws in enemies instead of saving your nades for revive throws i assume its not auric or highest difficulty
People are still playing that? I thought the "wiggle" killed it ... I wish i would have gotten into EFT at it's height... yet that's when all the hackers were in it, and that's what turned me away. Well it was more about BSG initial attitude toward the issue, which was literally a shoulder shrug of "oh well, deal with it..."
The big survivability talent Shield of Contempt isn't working in patch 14 (60% damage reduction in patch 14, differing from the video's 75%), the devs have acknowledged this on the forums. It just doesn't trigger at all. Hopefully they fix this in the upcoming anniversary update. Meanwhile you can take Sustained assault from bottom right with those points for extra 20% damage which is easy to upkeep with continuous melee attacks.
there is only ONE lifesteal perk that triggers every 120 seconds when you are near death and can heal you up to 25% hp if you deal ENOUGH damage in 5 seconds. the author of the video tries to clickbait and has no understanding of darktide mechanics whatsoever
I'm a new player, your build is exactly what i was already doing, so this video made me feel a bit more confident in what I'm doing.
