I use a variation of this build and (ironically) the new thunderous build you uploaded. I think the flame and hammer build makes hordes and monsters a obstacle that can always be overcome... ranged is the only hang up.
I used to run that as well! I tried it with the throwing knives to deal with ranged enemies but they are a nightmare to aim on controller and the input doesn’t lend itself well to fast paced situations. That said, I’d still recommend it for a fun little build from time to time. 😁
I love the flamer. I run it with Showstopper too because it's fun to see things explode xD has some uses vs Lots of hounds too. Fun fact Showstoppers can proc off immolation granade as long as you have the flamer in your hands :D Forgot what the perk is called but on right hand side tree theres a perk which gives you Toughness on dodges. it's a must have on almost any build since it has no cooldown. Get the 10% attack speed perk aswell when using chainsword. it's slow so it needs it. I think I might actually try that build myself just because it looks... Interesting.. ^^ Looking forward to watching the video now :D
Good to know about immolation grenades and showstopper having a secret synergy! I might give the build a play around as I’m sure I could drop the additional toughness and sprint cost reduction for some different ones. Enjoy the video!
@@TheWarhammies It's not a synergy you should rely on but it's there. It's still refreshing to see your videos. when you run with flamer and you see lets say 2-3+ ragers or a few bulwarks. whip out the flamer and char them. don't hesitate and use your relic ALOT more often. Use it if you need some toughness, use it if theres gas and you have to get through it, use it if you hear a poxburster nearby, use it as crowd control for your teammates to get in some good shots- most of the time you can run in with relic and revive someone before the enemes are attacking again. With crit build it has a short cooldown so don't sit on it :)
As a zealot main I enjoyed the video. Only thing is im not a huge fan of is the flamer, that being said i just need to use it more snd get used to it. Great video keep them coming!!
Honestly i feel like the zealot is completely lacking without the charge ability being used, it feels integral to the up close melee play style that the zealot is built for
It is a struggle, especially when trying to cover ground quickly towards ranged enemies! I have another zealot build that covers the charge ability which I’ll share in the future! 😁
I do thoroughly enjoy this ability though. If you build for cooldown, you can use it extremely often and keep everyone in your team topped off and boosted up with shield while stunning anything around you.
Yeah but this build is easy mode. You have a literal panic button u can use basically every horde... It is easy to carry your team with this build. For someone like me who isn't too skilled, i find way more success with this over having charge :)
@TheWarhammies damn, it looks great, one of the rare toned skins where zealot doesn't look medieval or like chaos spawn. Ghh, and it had to be exclusive, my luck...
My bro plays the same build except instead of the flamer he uses the pistol. The eviscerator, flame grenades, and invuln bible seems well enough to deal with hordes, whereas the pistol is a must for quick elite elimination.
I'm a big fan of the extra damage on 3 enemies hit and the bleed on special, just makes it that much more effective on bigger targets. That being said, it does enough damage on it's own so you could run the toughness regen on 3 enemies hit paired with extra cleave for more survivability. 😁
I'm definitely running two Zealot weapons, the flamer & eviscerator! (I do spectate a little during this gameplay so it might just be when it jumps to the veteran on the team)
That is a very good point, I think I like it as it’s a safety choice carried over from my wound zealot build. I’d always recommend playing around with any build until you are happy with it. I might play around with this one as viewers are making some really good suggestions which could benefit the build!
Any blessing is viable, just some synergise better than others! Showstopper is one of those ones that when it procs it’s always fun to watch. That being said, I’ve heard everlasting flame is fun in a crit build for non stop flamer action! 😁
I cannot imagine playing this game with a controller like you do. I really think you have fairly ok builds but they would be best catered to the controller audience. Which you should lean into honestly.
Playing on controller isn’t as bad as people make it out to be. Although, I’ve jumped between Xbox and PC for a fair amount of time so I am more used to them than some! With any of my builds, I’d always suggest playing around with them and tailor them to your own play style!
@@TheWarhammies I think some weapons are clearly going to operate more smoothly on a m+kb. You're absolutely right that it's not that large of a deal. But at the same time a person on xbox is most likely going to perform better with a plasma gun rather than a revolver for example. I also wouldn't recommend a mk 3 dagger to a controller player but rather a power sword or a Heavy Eviscerator perhaps. It's something to keep in mind and it was something I thought you were doing on purpose and I thought it was very smart of you.
I’ll be honest, I’d never really given it much thought! Though now thinking about it I suppose all my builds have to be viable on a controller and part of that is due to the input I choose to play with. It would certainly explain why I prefer some weapons over others or struggled to use them! Thanks for pointing it out 😁

Good show! Thanks for showing off the Flamer, can't beat a 40K classic!
No problem! Glad you enjoyed the video!

Awesome video man! Super keen for more darktide content :)
Thank you! I’ll be looking to cover Darktide again when the new update drops later this month!

Thanks, i'm going to try that build. Currently running Shotguns, but they are maxed and i want to try out something different :)
I’m glad you’re trying out the build! I do like the slug shotgun but always support people trying new things. Hope you have fun! 😁
You don't grab Thy Wrath Be Swift? Seems like it would be a good talent since getting hit means you have to ramp up your flamethrower again
Hello there, what is the chest armor piece and head gear? I didn't know such existed. I checked commodore's vesture item list but couldn't find it :(
It’s part of the vanguard bundle. Unfortunately it isn’t available anymore as you had to play the game before a certain date to get it.

The ol’ trusty revolver! I do need to give it a good go at some point!
hay, I'm not sure if you respond to your comments, but could you please do a death korps of krieg helbore build.
You may have guessed the next video after today’s release! 😉
@@TheWarhammies sweet thanks man

I’m relatively new to darktide so I’m wonder HOW DO YOU HAVE VETERAN GEAR ON A ZEALOT
I'm definitely running two Zealot weapons, the flamer & eviscerator! (I do spectate a little during this gameplay so it might just be when it jumps to the veteran on the team)
what cosmetic set is that? i really like the look
It’s the Devoted Moebian 21st set. Sadly, they are not current available as you got them for playing the game before a certain date.
In my opinion it better to avoid using until death
Better pick perk that allows you to fight back and not go down in the first place
That is a very good point, I think I like it as it’s a safety choice carried over from my wound zealot build.

It's too good to pass up on any build. It's a 'Oh shit' button without the button.
So the flamer is only available for zealot?
Yeah, the flamer is only for the zealot. However, the Psyker has a flame staff what operates pretty much the same (with different blessings). 😁
Is this skin sold at Comodor?
Unfortunately not. It’s part of the vanguard bundle which was obtained by playing the game before a certain date.
I constantly use the abilities, there is no point in holding on to it.
I’ll be honest, I always forget I have it!
Is that the moebian armor that pc players got for free after Xbox players got the free aquilas?
Yes it is! Part of the vanguard bundle.
is Showstopper still viable?
Any blessing is viable, just some synergise better than others! Showstopper is one of those ones that when it procs it’s always fun to watch. That being said, I’ve heard everlasting flame is fun in a crit build for non stop flamer action! 😁
