- Fab Tech 2023 through my eyes. These where some of my favorite tools. We also have some surprises along the way! This is the biggest welding and fabrication convention in the WORLD. There’s something for every Metal worker. I had been told for years by my fellow mobile welders that I had to check it out. Well this year I finally caved and am I glad I did. The people and colleges I met will make this a experience I’ll always remember. If you missed it I hope this makes up for it.

81000 subscribers ,WOW. I remember in the early days hoping you would make at least one more video. I guess everyone including me like seeing the everyday struggle.
Thanks for hanging in there. It’s hard to make these videos
The HMT stuff is nice but not new at all. I may have missed something, but Impact chucks that hold hex shaft bits are quite a few years old. I've got two different ones at work. If he meant they originally made the first ones then...ok.
Dang, that automatic feeding magdrill is sexy. And honestly, I don't think $1800ish is bad at all. And thank you for the "Speak in American" comment lol Love it.
Definitely looking into one
Welding has come a long way since 1978 learning to weld on a tombstone in ag class in high-school. Interesting video. ✌🏻
Right on
You should check out the torture test video of those fireball vises. It's wild the abuse they stand up to. I just discovered them this past weekend and want one of these days. Their squares seem pretty useful as well.
Have the hypertherm 30 air on my rig. It definitely has a place on a fab truck.
15:28 kilowatts.... SPEAK AMERICAN😂
🤣
It’s very cool to see all the new products and demos. Several years ago I was working in Chicago as an electrician. I took a short call to McCormick Center to help setup the National Hardware Show. We got to talk with a lot of vendors as we were setting up the booths, but they also gave us free passes good for all days of the event. Then our call was also to return at the end and help with tear down. I left that show with so many new tools from the vendors we helped, that I had to make three trips to the car to carry it all out in big bags. I still have several of the tools including a Lansky knife sharpener that was fairly new to the market back then. I still use it today.
Bruh I missed this shit and I live here how the fuck. I have a whole setup with stick mig and tig.
Chicago is the heart of the nation!!
Got a question for ya, service truck go big or go small. It looks like to me you work a lot out of your smaller truck. I’ve been looking at bigger trucks that you could slide in
Not having CDL. Right at 26,000 pounds but then soon as you put a trailer on it you’re fucked putting tools in it you’re fucked. Maybe you could put a video together about a service truck pros and cons.
That’s a idea! I like my superduty
what class is your super duty? Do you have to go commercial? Sorry about all the stupid fucking questions but can’t find nobody answer. Shit I don’t know anybody. i’m sure you went through the same thing buying that 4x4 beast.
Usually enjoy your vids, had to give up trying to watch this one. TH-cam polluted your content with ads for shitty games that no one wants to play and are probably designed to steal your personal data,
Thanks for the heads up man! Idk what’s going on with them but they have also cut my income down by 2/3 so it’s getting hard to stay motivated to keep making videos… especially when I make in one day welding what I make all month on TH-cam
@@MeltinMetalAnthonynooooo don’t stop posting. I love the content you post man.
I'd be like a kid in a sweet shop...
I have a new 65 amp Hypertherm at work with them 'cartridge' type tips,I mostly gouge with it and it's the boss. For cutting I don't like it-I have a brain and tips last 2 to 1 for nozzles,no reason to change the whole setup out.My home unit is an old 1250 80 amp and I love it. cool video man!
Super cool!! Thanks for sharing all the cool stuff with those of us that couldn't make it. I like my analog equipment because when it malfunctions, I am able to repair, replace or fabricate even the smallest parts. I was just contacted by an older gentleman that I befriended a few years ago and he is moving. He wanted his lathe and all the tooling to go to someone who would use it and I am that guy. I am so psyched to start making some really cool parts.
Me too digital makes me nervous
@@MeltinMetalAnthony Absolutely! So many times I have been out in the middle of nowhere working on a farm implement or a fence and something stopped working. There are only so many things that can go wrong if there is no computer. Most parts that have a tendency to go sideways fit in a special toolbox that says Miller Partz....
I was at Fabtech too! I met Michael Furick (he gave me a quick aluminum tig welding lesson), I won a 3M auto darkening hood from Airgas, I bought a new AC/DC tig welder and met Gerald W. Brister.
That sounds like a solid time right there
First
Did you expense the hotel, flights, meals and conference ticket?
Im really glad i found the channel. Been watching 4 days
My Jewish brotha never disappoints!
Who made the mag drills, Hougen? The HMT guys need some bigger bits in SAE sizes. Biggest I saw was 1/2" while metric goes up to 22mm. I've got some of those Fireball Maximus clamps and squares on my Christmas list.
I have some 3/4 from HMT and I’m not sure on the brand of the drills
Next time use landscape to shoot videos
That vice was amazing
Biggest cry baby
My first fabtech was 2022 in Atlanta, was going to do Chicago but on my way home to go to the airport I was hit by a tesla and spent all of fabtech in ICU. Worst yet they cut my meltin metal shirt off .But seriously thanks for posting this.
Wow brother that is terrible. At least you survived. I had something similar happen and it really sucks. I hope you are doing well now.
I’m sorry brother I hope you recovered! I also hope to see you at FabTech Orlando
If recording with a phone I would recommend recording horizontally so it can come out full screen on the tv. Recoding vertical stays like that and not full screen. I learned that after my first post.
Ya ya I know. It was intended for shorts but I could fit a lot of these tool explanations in 90 seconds
How do u get jobs bro I have a small small shop tiny shop but have every power tool u need cut off saw band saw 4grinders. 140amp wire feed gas or flux core I run flux core 0.35 but need to find people.
Thanks for featuring us! Make sure you stop by and see us in Orlando this year at Fabtech 2024!😄
I have the Hypertherm 45XP On my truck at all times. It’s ability to gouge will definitely change your life for the better. I don’t think your welder or mine (a Lincoln Ranger 305G EFI) will supply enough amps to run the Hypertherm 65 at it’s maximum output. As for the Lincoln Ranger 260MPX Air pack, I can’t say but I owned a 330MPX for one month and it’s a piece of SH-T! I made Lincoln trade it out for another Ranger 305G (my third one. Great machine). Self feeding mag drill….,COOL!
This laser setup might work for quick tacks in production welding. Thx for the video.
6000 aircraft? I'm a machinist and have always worked around hearing and repeating 7000 is aircraft grade? IDK
20000+ views all you had to do is turn the phone horizontal...
I know 🥲
Thanx for showing us Fab tech in a nut shell.
I think lazer welding would be great in auto body work.
Im getting a truck soon very soon I've been welding for 22 years but always working for someone else I have the talent to work on rusty shit show shit.
Isaac !!! From IC WELD bro can’t believe you met him lol 😂 you guys keep me going man love all the content
I was shocked to hear he watches my channel 😯 in fact the whole family does I guess! I have been a fan of his for a long time
@@MeltinMetalAnthonybro don’t sell yourself short. You are up there in my opinion with the best of them. Sometimes us welders can be really hard on ourselves because we compare every single weld we do with someone else’s best weld they do lol 😂
Wow! Even though I have an awesome Mag-Drill I would absolutely love to get one of those automatic and smart drills. I already said I do not like smart equipment but maybe some things would be necessary....lol
26:12 is the sky stealing from Red Ball/ fireball? tools TH-cam channel or what somebody tell me
love it
Good job bro looks like an awesome day 💯
It was
hi the plasma cutting is made 30 min from my house know some people that works there making them
Giving all these guy an opportunity to sell there shit on a large platform. Youre a good dude
I would love to go next year. I’ve been welding sense I was twelve and I’m super interested in the whole process of welding, and the new tools and equipment that are developed to help with efficiency on the job site or in the shop.
Shout out to noah's welding.
Noah’s a great dude!
waiting for fab tech to come to new england.......
The boy is blowing up, hell yeah man.
Wow loved seeing all the cool stuff
That’s awesome you have the opportunity to go out there for Fabtech. Keep killin it bro!!

Awesome message brother... nobody is being held back
I'm back mid video and gotta say 5:43 most money is made through SALESMANSHIP
11:27 that's rediculous, nice!
Need more commercials.
Sorry man no much I can do, TH-cam tryna get there money I guess
