Inglenook puzzle
Shunting puzzle, complete demonstration how to play a game of it.
This is my transportable layout, to practice work on rail sidings.
The goal of the game is to form a train of 5 cars in the order specified, from 8 cars.
To form 5 cars you can use 3 from one siding and 2 from another.
No need to place all 5 cars in the siding holding 5 spaces.
But if you succeed to do so, you will then be ready to form trains of 5,6,7 or 8 cars. The difficulty being to place 5 cars in the big siding.
We cannot move more than 3 cars at a time.
So there is 3 spaces with the locomotive, and 11 spaces on the three sidings: 5, 3 and 3.
The counter is an Android application "Simple compteur"

Démonstration complète de la façon de jouer.
Ceci est ma maquette transportable, pour pratiquer le travail sur les voies de triage.
Le but du jeu est de former un train de 5 wagons dans l'ordre spécifié à partir de 8 wagons.
On n'est pas obliger de placer les 5 wagons en ordre dans la voie de 5 espaces. On peut en prendre 3 dans une voie et 2 dans une autre.
Mais si vous maîtriser l'art de les placer en ordre dans la voie de 5 espaces, vous pourrez alors facilement former des trains de 5,6,7 ou 8 wagons.
On ne peut déplacer plus de 3 wagons à la fois.
Il y a 3 places derrière la locomotive, et 11 places sur les trois voies de triage: 5, 3 et 3 places.
Le compteur est un programme Android "Simple compteur"

Yes it is Bachman tracks. The switches are manually operated. Surface is 2 x 6 feet (2 times 2x3 pieces).
