You are right about too many functions to remember! I only have 3 MTH locos but they are my favorites. This early spring in Indiana has me flying my RC airplanes leaving little time for working on the layout. I did pick up a really sweet Proto 2000 0-6-0 switcher that I want to post some video of. Gonna try to post more outdoors RC flying videos this year too!

I love the detail and the weathered rolling stock! The viaducts are bit high and numerous for my taste.

Looking good, and good job on the correctness of sounding the horn.

On your mth mikado if you use the F11 function while in neutral you'll hear the coupler clash sound when throttling up. Really cool feature!

these viaducts are a bit excessive as i reckon myself - rookie mistake as i tried to cramp as many tracks as i could on a small table top layout by elevating two loops of track. i ended up having steep grades with tight curves, and erecting too many "risers" or viaducts!

Man thats nice work you've done there.I to have an inglenook siding diorama but it's a little short for the puzzle solving ,I plan to extend it.

you are right about the coupler clash - i should have used that function on my videos. i kind of forget all these features or to be honest never been conscious of using even half of the features. you have 5 of these mth steamers? im sure it is a blast running them all on your layout.
any forthcoming update on your layout?

The sound of your switcher is as good as I’ve heard. Is that onboard or is located on the layout? Nicely done all around.

looks okay but the camera is far to close

  • @daveday5507

I think this is a very loose interpretation of the Inglenook concept. There is space for one vehicle between the two 3 van sidings and the 5 van siding. If the siding will JUST take the specified number with no space between, the whole thing becomes much more difficult. A true puzzle. I note the hand of God was needed to assist the coupling.

    Nice layout, well laid out.
Why do o you have Steam engine sounds while switching with a diesel locomotive. Keep the sounds seperate.
Back on off and show the switching moves. We don't really need to watch u uncoupling. We already know how that's done.
Most of the time Ur camera isn't in focus. It's better to ok put camera on a tripod and show as much as will fill Ur frame. Only zoom in on shots that U want to call attention to. Be Also do some B be roll shots. These could be still shots that U use to transition between your shots.
In camera work it's considered bad technical manners when moving camera around uselesly.
Of five stars on construction and scenery I give 4 and a half.
Of five stars for Cera work, I would give 3 and a half. Needs work!!

If you are going to show switching - do it and quit all of the super close ups. Most of the time they are not in focus and who cares about seeing the Kedees.. sit back and show a medium wide angle of the switch yard and show the actual switching. It looks like this is a fine layout well done but it's to hard to see because you are sooooooo close.
