  • This video shows how to resolve a shunting task on my 3D printed inglenook sidings shunting puzzle.
The fictitious scenery is an inland port, which could have been located in Basle, Switzerland.
All parts, that have a height were produced with my 3D printer.

Clever! I'm working on aN Scale 2x4 switching layout, a science project of sorts compared to my main 6x12 layout. Got some good ideas here!

That looks like fun! LOL a little engineer rail rage at 4:21. silly decoupling magnets. I have an N scale switching layout on its way to me that I picked up from a friend. Would like to upgrade it with electric switches and decoupling magnets like you use here. VERY good looking little micro layout you built here.

Thanks for the comments! Yes indeed, at 4:21 decoupling issues caused some unrealistic movements!

Extremely impressive to do an Inglenook puzzle with no manual uncoupling. Upgrade to DCC or just upgrade the power deliver with more intelligent PWM and you'd have much better control over the speed and momentum.

Thanks for your Reply, Mark! Yes, pre-decoupling is a great feature to avoid manual uncoupling. From which country are you? In the German area, the vendors offer multiple pre-decoupling capable couplers (Roco, Märklin, Fleischmann). The UK models I have on the other hands, seem not offer that.

I'm a quite annoyed that each rail track is a dead end, no connection to the outside world! Nevertheless, it's a very nice layout!
