Running before you can walk with this guide. We have to win a few games before we have any gear etc. to even think about upgrading. I was looking for a guide on how to actually play the game. So far my experience is entering a world completely by myself and having endless waves of bugs chasing me nonstop until I run out of ammo and die.
Tip one: patrols are there to run you out of ammo. Avoid them unless you cant.
This is what I wanted to know, now I know not to bother with this. Thanks
Bro I just bought the game today played it for 12 hours it's not gonna hold your hand you gotta learn the mechanics and just stay alive

My personal recomendation would have to be the eagle napalm strike. Covers a large area with explosions and the fire, doing double duty. Anything that survives the initial hit catches on fire melting them. Oh and try the Laser cannon, youll have a blast.... literally :)
Just wanted to say i appreciate this guide. Covers a lot i had no idea about being a total noob to the game and appreciate the suggestions. It will definitely help me get used to the game's mechanics and what not
Thanks for breaking these menu's down. I just bought it last night. I was totally lost during the menus of the ship. I just picked a mission and dropped down to find out how it plays.

Armor rating was not working up until the last patch. That was the armor bit you had heard. Thanks for the video. Use what you like. Have fun and bring Democracy to the enemy.
This has to be the most easiest guide for starters I've come across so far, thank you!
Armour stats not applying was patched 2-3 days ago as per the patch notes, heavy armour now actually works as expected, light armour reduces your visibility to enemies and provides more stamina and you dodge a bit further.
You can also use your supercredits to unlock the premium warbonds. Coming from having played Destiny pretty heavily as of late, that's definitely a nice change of pace... there's literally nothing in this game that cannot be unlocked without spending real world dollars outside of the cost of the base game

Set playback speed to ".5" and you can tell this guy is obviously heavily intoxicated
The top 2 comments I see are complaining that he should have showed missions instead of this, but I hard disagree. All you have to do is play a couple missions to learn how to use the map and get more ammo and use the strategem whatever they are called.
I honestly had no idea about getting weapons and this is what me and my friends personally needed. I was so confused on why my armory wasn’t getting any new weapons and glad this guy is showing everyone the basics!!!
Title could reflect that intention a bit better. I came in looking for basic play tips.

This is a great game. I’m lvl 34. My opinion is the best orbital is the laser and eagle is the cluster or 500kg
I watched this video purely just to know what helldivers is about. Aswell to make sure my game doesn't copy them, but now i know my game is 100% different from theirs.

I am late to the party, but my friends were excited for me to play. Started off at the hardest difficulty I could play at on level 1 with them.
Some idiot on level 10 difficulty thought this guide still worked. 😂
Not to say it isn't resourceful when starting and I think you did a great job here. I had to watch my entire team die multiple times and use all of the revives. I went around the map and brought back the egg and all samples.
He kicked me right at extraction and said,"don't sell next time" and linked this video.
I brought all resources to extraction and didn't die. 😅 Plus we were able to extract with everyone alive except 1 person

i feel for both medals and basic credit the tip of "save em" is a bit overrated. Like for the guardian dog. You can buy the gun one just fine, you'll easly get the base credit for the laser one in no time. Same after a while you'll not have much to toss yellow credit on
I think what he means is that the gun drone is constantly reloading by reattaching to your backpack, reducing the dps and usefullness of it. The laser drone spends WAY more time in the air doing the good work.
@@whisperzzar3321 Ofc the laser one as an upgrade of the normal, still don't disqualify my comment. Before you get the laser one you can still buy the normal one and see if you like it nor spending the credits will cut you off from purocase the one with the laser nor will take that long to have the founds.
I could understand if was paid in samples, those take a bunch more so there a bit of "selection" is more natural. Credits? Nha, play the game, you get em pretty easly

It's discouraging to me that 1/2 of this guide is bullshit itemization, loadouts and upgrades. I don't want to be a loadout engineer, I wanna frag some bugs.

The absolute worst "starter guide" imaginable. You just say "You're gonna get this as you play the game", so then this isn't a beginners guide, it's a guide to people who understand how the game works already.

@@Z1Gaming There is no “in front” of it. Don’t run into it’s bullet stream is obvious but when you’re fighting enemies and it gets placed behind you or in a really bad spot regardless, it’s going to spin around and immediately kill you unless you happen to be looking back whilst fighting which is virtually impossible. I would 110% rather someone who is new to the game not do something stupid that’ll end up killing people.
