Dont stand your ground, don't walk towards enemies while firing. Everything comes after you, make them chase you. This opens up weak spots or draws a strong enemy from the team. Standing your ground = Loss.
100%. Especially on the "defend position for 15 minutes" missions, if you can get all the bugs chasing you like a Black Ops Zombies train it becomes really easy. Turn back to shoot the fast ones that are getting close every once in a while and just keep running circles, ezpz
The best part about this game is that it's more Starship Troopers than the Starship Troopers game that came out last year. To be fair, very different game styles, but still funny nonetheless
I think Helldivers are a lot closer to what the Mobile Infantry in games would look like, if they were based on Heinlein's book (Power Armor, Orbital Drop Pods, Mini-Nuke Launchers etc) instead of the movie(s). 😊
So Explosive weapons do 100% extra damage to soft/vulnerable enemies - the glowing butts on a Charger, for example, or the orange flesh of the Bile Titan after the armor gets stripped off. That's where the benefit is.
The radio tower makes an audible alert when you have the dish lined up. If you go outside of alignment after you get it correct. There is another sound that plays to notify you. Use game sound!
On resource management, try to ensure that whenever the situation permits, reload all weapons and top off on stims before you take the resupply drops. Especially critical when it comes to support weapons- mags/shots in weapon are not auto-reloaded and an empty gun before a supply drop is still empty after grabbing a resupply.
Considering when you reload regularly you lose the bullets in the old magazine the resupply makes not topping off the magazine in the gun makes alot of sense logically speaking. If all of the guns come with preloaded magazines there would be no way for the bullets to magically teleport itself into the magazine that is already in the gun
Even as a veteran, it's a good idea to get such tips, there might be one that you didn't know. My main advice is KNOW YOUR STRATAGEMS, more specificly the "shape" it hits, the area of effect, and the time it works, fx. eagle strikes, the strafing run is a line away from you, while the airstrike, cluster and napalm is across, and the 500kg is dropped from your direction (all based on where you were at the moment of the strat activating after thrown, and when it comes to 500kg it's important so you don't get hit in the back of the head by the bomb, or it hit a high rock instead of the target). ALSO, when you hear another player auto calling fx. "calling in an eagle", LOOK at where that player might be, and then where the red light is, and then in less than a second you need to know "am I in the danger zone? I AM, RUN". Also, when it comes to machine guns, ESPECIALLY the heavy MG, it's some times better to go lowest RPM and tap to single shoot, and even with your main weapons single shot can be more effective than full auto and then simply click fast, it helps with recoil, I can snipe with the HMG (VERY helpful against bots) however if I just went full auto I would waste a LOT of ammo, I can always change fire mode in case of bigger enemies. Oh, and if you have a backpack strat in your loadout, like the supply or shield or guard dog, and one of your teammates dosen't have one, neither in loadout or equipped, share, call it in so they can have it. And lastly, PLEASE tag heavies all the time, ESPECIALLY titans and factory striders (don't know what does are? don't worry, you'll find out soon enough), and when it comes to "medium heavies" unless you kill then in the next few seconds, it's nice to know "it's here" or "I need help, plz kill it". TAG, TAG, TAG, TAG, TAG.

Warbonds (the stuff you spend medals in) aren't 'season passes.' They never go away. One of the big things about HD2 Warbonds is that you NEVER have to worry about FOMO. Even if/ when they add more Warbond progression tracks, the older ones will still be available. I'm curious where you got the 'season pass' from, as it's nowhere on any screen. The requisition pages CLEARLY say "warbond progression."
@ICr4zyI no, it's not that it never changes. They will be releasing new Warbond tracks. It's just that they WILL NOT TAKE AWAY warbonds once released. Be it 1 week or q year, you have all the time in the world to access the warbonds that have been released.
@ICr4zyI again, not really. The Grind is determined solely by the amount of time you play and who you play with. It's entirely possible to have an entire 10-page warbond progressed in a single month.

The tactical reload is marginally faster, and this emulates real-world firearms. When reloading an empty firearm, it is necessary to rack the first round manually. When reloading a firearm that has a chambered round, no racking is required- the first round of the new magazine is chambered automatically the first time you pull the trigger. If you pay attention, the reloading animation is slightly different to reflect that. I wasn’t aware that you could fire the last bullet mid-reload, but that’s pretty cool. Now I need to go see if the game does the full re-rack animation after firing the emergency bullet.

The best weapon in the game is page 4 of the regular free pass. They only majorly useful things from the pay pass is the grenade and the last weapon Jak something. Both are beaten in most situations by the regular pass options.

PSA: it's a magazine, not a clip. A magazine is a reloadable chamber for bullets, like a pistol or AR. A clip is like what you'd find on the old M1 Garand. A strip of bullets that load directly into the gun. Not trying to be an asshole, just informative. Lol Thanks for the tips man.

I wasn’t aware that you could fire the last bullet mid-reload, but that’s pretty cool. Now I need to go see if the game does the full re-rack animation after firing the emergency bullet.
I wish the tutorial covered more of this. This has been very helpful
8:30 the SMG is a primary weapon, not a sidearm, at least in my version of the game…
Thank you! Hoping to get this game on my birthday in a couple days (august 2nd), i'll definitely be revisiting this video when I get it
Did you get it? 🎉
@@NextWorldVR i did!!! It's so fun, SO WORTH IT!!
20:49 How do you ping something?
Q
Very helpful - thanks. Went in blind and it was pretty rough
In a way, I enjoyed the lack of hand holding. Throwing us into the deep end is rough, but I think I prefer it to the modern gaming “prompt and tip every five steps you take”
Well put together as usual! For Super Earth *salute*
If you pick up medals does the team share the medals?
This helped alot! Your very good at explaining. Thank you and please make more when you can for helldivers
Bought this morning, Then found out im busting 12 hour shifts now 6 days a week with only Saturday off, Think ill get down on this Saturday night. Looks fun
What’s the ping button for enemies? Q?
So much stuff I didn’t know extremely helpful thank you
The best weapon in the game is page 4 of the regular free pass. They only majorly useful things from the pay pass is the grenade and the last weapon Jak something. Both are beaten in most situations by the regular pass options.
Love the manual reload and magazine count instead of the bullet counter
Can you see a radar station on the mini map or is it something you have to just come across naturally?
Helpful hints, I have a group about to start the game and this seems very helps full thanks
Im gonna get HD2 tomorrow and I cant wait to get jacked into Helldive by way of peer pressure. Being surrounded simplifies the issue of where to shoot.
This is what anthem couldve been
Thanks man! This is really clear and helpful for us noobs.
Just got it. Eff'ing love it!!!
I didnt know the scope zoom in mechanic at 17:05, thank you for mentioning it
I wish i would of seen your tutorial when i was starting out, level 12 now but having to figure this all out with almost no instructions is abit frustrating at first. Thanks.
Level 35 here man good luck trying to find Rare simples 😂
I’ve really been considering getting this game and your video is helping me make the choice
Magazines not clips
If I'm not mistaken the Autocad on has clips
PSA: it's a magazine, not a clip. A magazine is a reloadable chamber for bullets, like a pistol or AR. A clip is like what you'd find on the old M1 Garand. A strip of bullets that load directly into the gun. Not trying to be an asshole, just informative. Lol
Thanks for the tips man.
I’m so happy you made this comment. It really bothers me when people say clip for magazines 😅
Me and a friend played for the first time together and there was a major discrepancy in the samples by the end of the night. We only played matches together so I wonder if they changed that recently?
Listen for the terminal chime sound when you rotate the dish solo.
Can someone tell me how to see on the map where you died? When it happens I typically have a back pack that is on cool down for 5-7 minutes. It would be faster to just find my last location to pick them up
There are different icons for special weapons, backpacks and samples that will show where you died.
Adding to Moto's comment. In the case of you and your squad mates dying at once, the yellow ones are yours. The white ones belong to your teammates.
The picture of the clip tells you how much ammo you have. The white part goes down each shot.
Ive watched about 10 of these tips video and i will die on this hill ... this is the best well thought out of the bunch it covers missions and hos to do them WHERE GK GET NEW WEAPONS that i somehow missed learned ship upgrades were a thing great fking vid man
Glad you are enjoying the video, appreciate the kind words and glad it helped someone.
Thanks!! I have somewhat of an idea now what to do.. been running around solo trying to figure some of this out..
I have been losing war bonds between missions. I started my session with 25 or more and ended the night with one all while running missions that whole time and getting the war bonds. I hope I get them back.
Same thing happened to me, pretty sure they come back as mine started randomly increasing between missions.
@@jetsgo66 mine did not come back. It doesn't matter though. I am no longer losing them.
That submachine gun in the battle pass is not a side arm. It’s actually one of the best guns and it’s better than the liberator.
I’m doing my part!
I just started playing, have only droppes twice solo ans was terrible but fun. This video is super helpful.
VERY helpful video. I learned quite a bit. Thanks
Glad to hear it!
Just started playing yesterday first mission. I had 2 randoms join during the mission, one fellow noob level 1 joins about half way second guy level 6 joins as we are about to extract, i found 2 samples during the mission, ship lands the level 1 guy gets on i get on then the level 6 guy shoots me killing me dropping the 2 samples and then gets on the ship losing the samples and i fail to extract 😢
Anyone know what to do if you can’t get the prompt to pick up a weapon from a point of interest pod?
This games more tactical than i thought it would i never played yet but i like to know im getting into before playing it
Just made it to level 5 on ps5 got the grande launcher, machine gun turret, and shot gun. I love the shotgun so much more then the gun you start with. Just need to upgrade my side arm. Matches have been solid. Only 1 time have I jumped in and had some clown try to kill me for no reason.
Very informative! Loved this video
