For the record, Digital Bug Registrider can Special Summon itself when you normal summon a monster and make itself and that monster Level 5. This allows you to overlay for Inzektor Exa-Stag, and since it's a Rank 5/6 Insect, you can then Rank Up into Digital Bug Rhinosebus, which gives you a Quick Effect Smashing Ground for your opponent's turn.
The exa-stag into rhinosebus combo got rhinosebus semied in duel links for the decks that could abuse it, so this is unironically something of a decent combo
@@msgmesagod205 Rhinosebus can Rank Up on a Rank 5 or 6 Insect Xyz by detaching 2 materials from it. Exa-Stag is a Rank 5 Insect. It does not specify that the Xyz must be Light.

I really like this archetype and I really hope that the next Support we are getting in Burst of Destiny will make it even better and with the new Inzektor Quick Launch from Ancient Guardians Insects could maybe be a competent Rouge or even Meta Deck once again after all these years! Additionally I have a really weird question I wanted to ask you because it interrests me somehow ^^: Why do you always keep saying “you can only use 1 effect per turn, and only once PER turn“ instead of “you can only use 1 effect per turn, and only once THAT turn“. That's a bit confusing ^^ And I just wanted to say that I still think that showing a standardized sample deck list at the end would maybe be a neat inclusion in these kind of videos because I have no idea what a decklist looks like for most of the archetypes you present ^^
The best way to sum up beetroopers from me playing this deck is that it feels like Salamangreat: You have a recurable engine and counter-trap, lots of consistent combo setups, but unlike Salamangreat, beetroopers can abuse Resonance Insect, who isn't once per turn and is the benten of insects, can add the level 7 beetrooper, doom dozer, contact "C", the insect Kaijus and can send Gokipole to add Retaliating "C" or a normal insect to summon for free and pop something. It's why I think for the time being, Insect Good Stuff is the way to play Beetrooper, but once the 2nd wave gets released and new inzektor spell comes out in Grand Creator, Beetrooper Inzektor will become the standard beetrooper build.
I play Inzektor Beetrooper as is and either the deck can pop off really hard or bricks like reheated dog shit, but I love that deck so much nevertheless.
This is the first deck I tried in Master Duel after 20 years or so away from Yu-Gi-Oh and I have to say this is such a fun deck to learn and play! Sure it isn't the most powerful, but god damn if you get Absolute Hercules out, that makes up some for what the rest of the deck lacks

Normal summon Battlewasp Sting the Poison, searchs for either any Insect extender (such as Twinbow or Pin) or Arbalest if you don't already have it. Summon the extender, link into Armor Horn. Extra normal summon the Arbalest, which special summons back the Sting. Link those two into Inzektor Picofalena. Discard to equip from the deck a Resonance Insect. Link the two Link-2 together for Invincible Atlas, triggering Resonance Insect to tutorise Beetrooper Sting Lancer. Banish three insects from the GY (including Resonance) to special summon back Armor Horn. Resonance send to the GY Gokipole, which can either search you another Arbalest or special summon a Shiny Black C; or send Block Spider instead of Gokipole if you want a defense against attacks. Then use Invincible Atlas to tribute an insect to special summon two Scout Buggys and overlay into Cicada King. During the opponent's turn, you can negate with Cicada King, switch its position, special summon back Sting the Poison (or Block Spider if you did that), which will search you another Battlewasp and can negate in turn by tributing Cicada King, and you also have the graveyard disruption of Sting Lancer in your hand. The real weakness of the archetype is Spell/Traps however, since all three of Cicada King, Sting and Fly&Sting can only negate monsters. By the way, by its nature, Sting Lancer is kind of like a themed Called by the Grave : if your opponent use a handtrap such as Ash, it allows Sting Lancer to special summon itself T1 to either search the field spell for another extend, or search the countertrap for more disruptions. It's not bad !
As someone that played pure Battlewasp as my pet deck of choice, thank you so much for explaining how Resonance Insect actually fits in to the equation. I wasn't in the game when most of the Insect Goodstuff came out, but because I played an Insect deck everyone around me just assumed I knew how these cards I've never had an opportunity to play with worked and never actually took the time to explain it. Feels nice playing a deck where you actually get to use Sting's on field effect tho, it always felt strange to me that they put the best on field effect on the archetype's only Tuner, which, y'know, is typically going to be removed from the field in order to Synchro Summon (or Link, because Battlewasp swarming).

Also, Battlewasps simply are better to use with links than with their own synchros, unfortunately, because they have no easy lines to get the necessary levels for Hama and Ballista. Before your best plan was to abuse Papilion Seraphim, but now Atlas and Cicada King are better at the job. If you manage to get both Cicada and Papilion on the field, though, you can summon back both Sting and Gokipole during the opponent's turn, and tribute Gokipole with Sting to negate a monster and destroy another.
i think the idea is to have the main deck monsters have small disruptive effects that atlas can swap between depending on your needs. I wouldn't be surprised if we get have monsters like that that jsut summon themselves and have a disruption on board
Hope this theme gets support, I like insects a heck of a lot and even play an insect deck in one of the Yugioh video games. It's fun to play and even has some surprisingly good cards like a simply two card combo to summon a big bug from hand and one from deck. Beetroopers would be a great addition though not all the Extra Deck Monsters might match up too well. Hope we see more insect archetypes though.
Don't forget about that Boss of a monster fusion that requires 4 insects. 4k attack, and special summons any insect under 3k (which is the entire archetype) from the graveyard after the battle phase.
Video was made before the second wave and a lot of people lost interest in the theme due to how bad the cards were which probably prompted him to not make a follow up.
I would assume that Beetroopers get 7 more cards in BODE as all recent archetypes got 14 (Myutant/War Rock/Plunder Patroll(who got Ravenwing as a 15th card). So I don't think MYutant will get anything soon as they already have all 14 cards and it didn't seem as much like a fan favourite compared to Plunder.
I think using Digital Bug Cocoondenser, and Digital Bug Centibit and LEDYbug are useful. Cocoondenser is just a main deck Cicada king but only for level 3 insects, which we are playing a lot of anyways, Centibit special summons insects from your deck, and LEDYbug adds them to your hand, I think playing Transcicada at 1 is a good idea since you can send it to the GY with Picofalena, and then you can make Battlewasp Halberd the Charge off of the Transcicada and the token. Also Summoning Swarm is a good card, it's an in archetype soul charge for battlewasps, and revival swarm can be banished to keep any insect alive until the end of your opponents turn.
While it's not quite the same because it's any insects the design really makes me think of the 2000s tv show Spider Riders. A show about the inside of earth where there's a fight between humans and insects where the humans transform into heroes with weapons who ride spiders to fight.
Try running them in combination with Battlewasps. A lot of Battlewasp main deck monster cards special summon from hand like Blackwings, giving you really easy ways to get into your Link 2. Also run Shinobi Insect Hagakuremino as an alternative Link 2. Add Resonance Insect and Gokipole at three each, too. I'm running a Master Duel client at the time of this writing, and did a Sample 5 draw. 2x Resonance Insect 1x Beetrooper Scale Bomber 1x Battlewasp - Arbalest the Rapidfire 1x Battlewasp - Sting the Poison A simulated turn would go out like this: Normal Summon Sting; activate effect -search for 'Battlewasp - Pin the Bullseye'* - Chain Scale Bomber on Normal Summon of Sting Link Summon Beetrooper Armor Horn Activate Armor Horn, Normal Summon Resonance Insect Link Summon Hagakuremino using Armor Horn + Resonance Insect - Chain Resonance Insect GY effect Search for Heavy Beetrooper Mighty Neptune Activate GY effect of Armor Horn; Banish Resonance Insect, Scale Bomber, and Sting from GY to summon Armor Horn - Chain Resonance Insect effect to send Gokipole from Deck to GY - Gokipole activates. Add Normal Insect Level 4 from Deck to Hand (Killer Needle, Gokibure, Neo Bug, etc..), then Special Summon Link Summon Giant Beetrooper Invincible Atlas using Armor Horn and Hagakuremino Lastly, Special Summon from hand Mighty Neptune by returning from Removed from Play Resonance Insect, Scale Bomber, and Sting At this point, you now have two 3K attack beatsticks and 2 disposable monsters on the field (supposing Sting didn't get Ash'd earlier). You can do the following depending on your board state: / Get Beetrooper Fly & Sting as a general negate and destroy for Monster Effects next turn. Can be useful vs. Spright / Get Beetrooper Landing to Special Summon Ultra Beetrooper Absolue Hercules using from hand Resonance Insect, Arbales, Neptune, and from field Sting Lancer / Beetrooper Descent for dealing with backrow next turn *Minimal impact when negated. Continue play as normal
I quite like the deck. It doesn't do the most broken stuff out there, but they can end on up to 3 monster negates (mostly 2 tho) and have insane follow up, since Insects are the type with the most floaters. And Resonance Insect and Doom Dozer would have deserved a mention imo. I've only tried them with Battlewasps and Insect Goodstuff yet.

The Counter Trap with Invincible atlas, Number 3 Cicada King and Seraphim Papillion reviveing sting the poison, who can search the level 4 Battlewasp that revives a level 3 or lower insect on normal summon. And it's too bad that Atlas also locks into insects. If it wouldn't I would play a Fusion Parasite to make Invoked Raidjin during the opponents turn. It's not the most efficient thing... But it's funny to turn a Fusion Parasite into Aleister :)

The Counter Trap with Invincible atlas, Number 3 Cicada King and Seraphim Papillion reviveing sting the poison, who can search the level 4 Battlewasp that revives a level 3 or lower insect on normal summon.
And it's too bad that Atlas also locks into insects. If it wouldn't I would play a Fusion Parasite to make Invoked Raidjin during the opponents turn. It's not the most efficient thing...
But it's funny to turn a Fusion Parasite into Aleister :)
They need few good cards to be competitive

@@drakofox1362 oh I'm not used to people asking me things!! Ummmm~~ I think my favorite is Xyz. I really loved that mechanic because you didn't have to run tuners or anything. I loved how I felt any deck could make use of it and it has such great generics that I felt gave some life to local/low level play. Thanks for asking!!
