Function of a Purge Valve Solenoid and How it Works on a Car

In this video i will explain the function of the purge valve solenoid and how it works on a car. I will also explain the symptoms when it is bad and due for replacement. The purge valve solenoid function is simple and that is to open and close. By controlling its opening and closing, it is timed when the fuel vapor will be purged and fuel vapor flow into the combustion where it will be burned.

When i open key 2 position, I measure 12v at purge vanlve, is that right? Or just wait for pcm send voltage to it? Thanks

Hey 👋 So I notice something about my LS that’s been happening for quite some time whenever I fill up my gas tank to a full tank my car runs really sluggish. This happens every full tank but ones it gets to half tank or less I noticed the difference on the acceleration power compare to full tank, it almost feel like the fuel pressure is low when I have a full tank and I have no check engine light on. I have a 2002 LS 3.0
