- A state of mountains, liberty and great people. New Hampshire is in New England, just to the north of Boston. Many people see New Hampshire as a monolith, simply a nature-filled state for rich white people who don't want to live in Massachusetts. However, New Hampshire has much more than that.
Along with @ToluAfo I set out to explore New Hampshire from north to south, beginning in Berlin, an old mill town in the White Mountains, and heading southward to the Atlantic coast.

What struck me most about New Hampshire was the diversity of the state. The state has a diverse landscape, as well as a diverse set of communities and even people. While it's true that New Hampshire is roughly 95% white, this figure doesn't tell the whole story. We started our journey on the hunt for a New Hampshire French speaker, which we quickly found! Shoutout to Paul. The variety of New Hampshire French is quite similar to the French of Quebec, with a bit of a local twist.
We then make our way southward to see some of the other great things that the state has to offer, including the beautiful Franconia Notch, and some of its cities like the capital, Concord, its biggest city and former manufacturing powerhouse, Manchester and finally its only true coastal city, Portsmouth.
Join us and enjoy the ride!

It was a blast! Thanks for the comment and the kind words :)
Very interesting to see the French-Canadian influence in the city, greetings from South Africa!
That Tolu guy sure is cool
that quote he came up with at the end really pulled the video together

Hey it's the library steps! I am not sure why you didn't get some footage of the building from the second floor of the dome. I feel kind of bad that you are seeing the city in it's current rough shape. I moved here 6 years ago and the area around the library is significantly worse for various reasons. I am not sure why most of the locals are not grasping how much has changed in a very short time. It's very frustrating. Still lots of interesting history and hope for the future.
Yes, no income tax or sales tax, but the property tax that almost completely pays for education is outrageously high and if you want to make your house better, the property tax goes up higher. I loved living in NH for 30 years and raising kids in NH, but please don't tell people that the population is diverse. He did mention that 95% of the people are white and then went on to say it was diverse because some people speak French...not diverse really.
I believe in god again after watching this video
I'm happy we were able to convert yet another believer
