You are right, there is a learning curve to operate a mini split system when comparing them to other systems. I love mine and they have saved me a lot of money and added comfort to my home compared to the duct system I had before .Going on 6 years trouble free ,other than an annual cleaning. They have also surprised me at being able to heat when the outside temp was 4 deg.
Ramping down raises the temperature and can be above dewpoint. Basically to get higher SEER only sensible heat is removed. Mr Orr had to force his to high speed every time to avoid floating head pressure. Step up to a reheat unit if for a comfort space. Or dehumidifier.
Very confused about which one to buy ! 1000 SQ foot ranch with a 18K btu wall 240v ac unit that cools the whole house, but would like heat and automatic cleaning, wifi and Alexa, thx
Install three Mr Cool different homes DIY units are self charged. Yeah they’re not the greatest mini splits around but you save thousands. Compared to having a heating contractor come out . Price point works out for me ,check it out. They’re not that hard to put in, don’t know. when heating contractor will figure out and be reasonably priced. It’s actually Third World country heating systems. yeah some installers wanna to make $4000 in labor for two days work.

Put a Pioneer mini-split on my class C/B Winnebago. Cassette version. Love it.
