I've got the 147 and onestly I'm not going to sell it to get the giulietta. They have designed this car for a bigger market than Italy and secondly for Europe as any Alfa Romeo in the past. They are probably thinking already to the US market as well. With the 147 it was love at first sight... This one instead, well... it taste like a "world car", a very good one but still a world car. Its just like a good wine probably mixed with too much water.
@robseven7 @robseven7 that is just the camera, most camera's due to their frame rates sometimes don't capture the light properly, and it gives the perception of flashing.
@robseven7 that is just the camera, most camera's due to their frame rates sometimes don't capture the light properly, and it gives the perception of flashing.
@zerolionking It's a four doors car ... the rear handles are hiden, it's an old Alfa trick appeared for the first time on Alfa 156 in 1997 and on Alfa 147 three years later and finally this is the third car with hidden handles ... it's made to make look the car like a coupé
What i have to do to activate start & stop system? To put gear in neutral and to move foot from clutch? If that how have to do it doesn't work on my car.
@u1430 btw which engine do you have on yours because I've heard really good things about the 1.4 multiair and just wondered if it really is capable of returning 50mpg like they say it can
I like everything about this car especially the 1.4 dual turbo with a 170 hp output. The only thing I don't like as much is the dash inside. I guess I'm not use to all the horizontal lines, but the overall interior look, is a little bloated IMO!
so beautiful car...i own a fiat bravo, which i think is the most beautiful right now in the class, but this one is surely gorgeous...who knows maybe i will change my bravo for this masterpiece of design :)
@ruddypeasant When Lamborghini launched the Aventador, Lamborghini maintains that the Flagship lambo would always use a V12 as its engine, despite all the eco talk now (put aside eco-prob. now). When they launched the new mulsanne for bentley, they retained the 6.75 Liter twin turbo charged V8 despite the fact that the car can be powered by another equally impressive and eco-friendly engine. Show me some good examples of the american?
@warioxin "Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe" I'm really not trying to be a jerk. I was surprised to hear him say that as well. I'm sure he means to say some far lesser version of the dual clutch gearbox in the California.
@ShaoKarn335 the range topper will be quadrifoglio verde or cloverleaf they seem to have ditched the GTA idea for now, sadly but still amazing cars, if you like this one check out the 2ettotanta new spyder by alfa
@leon6266 this is an old story (and onestly a real one...) but now Alfs Romeo just like FIAT and Lancia is in the same european reliability standards just like german or french cars. If you have reliability problems this could happen on the Alfa as in any other car. But if you buy an Alfa year 2000 you are on the wrong year. FIAT group approach to reliability has changed a lot since 2004-2006 so get a 2006 model maximum.
@CheeseWithWorms Yes. the interior doesnt really feel that good. The material quality could be much better , and fit and finish is nowhere near Golf 6 or Audi A3. It might rattle a lot after some time.
@hoppustnl It's cuz the camera takes like 40 frames pr. second and therefore cathes the lights off and on (They blink like 60 timer pr. second) and this is therefore shown as blinking. You would absolutely not see that with human eyes :)
@u1430 You seem to defend this car quite aggressively by the looks of it. The Scirocco is by no means whatsoever ''PIG UGLY'' but the Alfa does look more classy. Both cars are probably the two most attractive on the road atm and the Scirocco is definately a head-turner because some people have walked into lamp posts as I've driven by beacuse they were too busy staring at it
I don't think the Giulietta looks too good in white. Must be a very colour sensitive design. I much prefer that 8c red and black. Though even in white it is still beautiful and easily the best looking car in its class.
there is a lot written about design and good taste , good design is not subjective. Alfa designers know everything about good taste so...be carfefull before talking about this "ugly" or "not beautifull" car.
No question it's a great and modern car, but it just does not look as good as the 147, which looks amazing. I will upgrade my 147 to a 159 soon, i just don't like the front design of the Mito or Giulietta.
100th comment, centrinary year for alfa and what a car will be looking at either this or an audi A1 but so far have stuck to audi dealerships maybe i should visit an alfa garage aswell, dont think this has posted my earlier comment, flipping youtube to put it politely
@JCY006 this car is italian like me and remaining in europe is not for US....manual trasmission is true alfa not automatic... but in us how do you drive an automatic transmission? is a shit automatic transmission
@numbtesticle Because we are sick and tired of having the same old cars, Japanese, American, and German. We don't have any Italian cars. I so wish that we could get the Fiat 500 Abarth over here as well. I wish I could be the first person to get the Giulietta! Also, my family is Italian so I am in favor of Italian cars, naturally.
77,000 km in 2 years.... reliability is more than ok!!
Like this guy, good no-bullshit review.
I love the new Alfa Romeo Giulietta, it is one of the best city carsI have ever seen!!! Definetely number one
I seen one of these at Knockhill months before release its so beatiful

yess i have a 73 alfa romeo and in 2009 in canada(where i live) they were suposed to make some dealerships but they never did i cant wait till they do
@robseven7 @robseven7 that is just the camera, most camera's due to their frame rates sometimes don't capture the light properly, and it gives the perception of flashing.
I like the hidden 4-dr styling!!
@u1435 man this was made to compete bmw series 1 or auid a4 dont compare to the focus shit or golf please! this car is stunning
just ordered mine in grigio magnesio with premium and sport package, very comfy and sporty...and everyone is turning his head after the car :D
@robseven7 that is just the camera, most camera's due to their frame rates sometimes don't capture the light properly, and it gives the perception of flashing.
nice review this guy knows what he s talkin about

The engine is brilliant, not to speak about the car itself. Got it on my shopping list ;)
Nice review Cropers.
because they are led, and the camera is not as quick enough to film properly.
so no flickering.
italian beauty...

@anitaru2001
Because they are LED lights, LED's flash on some cameras.
And this is one of the best looking hatches ☺
I bought one :)
white with 17' pack sport and panoramic roof...
would there be build quality issues?? because i am seriously thinkin of buying one!!
i got this car with the 170 hk diesel motor instead of the ferrari enzo , im so happy :)
What i have to do to activate start & stop system? To put gear in neutral and to move foot from clutch? If that how have to do it doesn't work on my car.
Never knew this was actually this good of a car.
@takitoataki I think these days its hard to make something on a new car look really different since other cars are so similar....
Are those LED's flickering on purpose or is it just the reflection?
@u1430 btw which engine do you have on yours because I've heard really good things about the 1.4 multiair and just wondered if it really is capable of returning 50mpg like they say it can
this is CAR !! i wish i could buy this , its the best at this category . nice engine and high quality interior
@MegaErda look to 0.33 you will see the front LEDs are also fading..
I like everything about this car especially the 1.4 dual turbo with a 170 hp output. The only thing I don't like as much is the dash inside. I guess I'm not use to all the horizontal lines, but the overall interior look, is a little bloated IMO!
@skorob2010 Why are you repeating this in several videos? Are you working for Skoda?
@JCY006 eheehh but you drive with manual transmission? you Americans do not know how to use the gear?
so beautiful car...i own a fiat bravo, which i think is the most beautiful right now in the class, but this one is surely gorgeous...who knows maybe i will change my bravo for this masterpiece of design :)
@dccary99887 I think somehow LEDS do that if you look at it through a camera at the right angles.
Nice car.
Congratulations Alfa Romeo.

yay go alfa, hope it lives upto the impression steve gives of it
i have bought yesterday giulietta quadrifoglio verde 235 hp is fantastic!
@phaethon42 it's actually supposed to replace the dodge caliber.. :)!
@alfista1982 HI. How many seconds it needs to get 100 km/h . I am very interested about this can.
@warioxin "Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe" I'm really not trying to be a jerk. I was surprised to hear him say that as well. I'm sure he means to say some far lesser version of the dual clutch gearbox in the California.
The new dodge dart is going to be a guilietta with revised aggressive styling - its gonna rock - launched next month !
the 2010-present Alfa Romeo Giulietta is assembled in
Cassino - Piedimonte San Germano, Italy
@ShaoKarn335 the range topper will be quadrifoglio verde or cloverleaf they seem to have ditched the GTA idea for now, sadly but still amazing cars, if you like this one check out the 2ettotanta new spyder by alfa
Beautiful car. It looks a bit more "grown-up" than the Mito.

an add for the Guilietta says "so desirable even journalists fall in love with her"
@zerolionking in the frame of the window like in other alfas before
@defender5151 I know!!! Finally, Alfa really worked hard on this one!!!!
btw did he say PDK isn't that the Porsche's dual clutch system??
My company car is a Fiat grande punto, and the steering wheel looks similar so i pretend its one of these. It makes me feel better.
@TheAXL35784 but you drive with manual transmission? you Americans do not know how to use the change
@CheeseWithWorms Yes. the interior doesnt really feel that good. The material quality could be much better , and fit and finish is nowhere near Golf 6 or Audi A3. It might rattle a lot after some time.

This car is a winner for sure.
Hope it comes to N America!
Great car! I really hope it comes the the US!
please bring this beautiful machine to the US!!

is that car blinking with the headlights?:D
Alfa romeo are just good looking cars with nice sound!!!
I don't think the Giulietta looks too good in white. Must be a very colour sensitive design. I much prefer that 8c red and black. Though even in white it is still beautiful and easily the best looking car in its class.
Do the lights flicker because of the camera or is it a standard setting?
camera
@WabbitCrouton it looks like that only on led cameras
170 bhp from a 1.4 turbo engine.I say well done Alfa ,it looks like you might have hatched a good un'And about bloody time too!
2019 giulietta the best car italiana😉💪💖 🍀
i have a 1.6JTDM 66 plate giulietta and has been great over the 16 months i have owned it. Keep on coming ALFA thumbs up all round !!! .
What's with the flashing day lights and rear lights? Gives more "Alfaness" to the car?? :))
i want to buy Alfa year 2000 any model but some say isnt reliable car in Australia
Bring to this to N. America please!
there is a lot written about design and good taste , good design is not subjective. Alfa designers know everything about good taste so...be carfefull before talking about this "ugly" or "not beautifull" car.
@ununoctium in italy the name is bologna!
i want alfa to come to the states already!
I am praying that this will come to the US
What about the 8c competizione
If I had money this car would be in my list...sadly only second hand car for me.
No question it's a great and modern car, but it just does not look as good as the 147, which looks amazing. I will upgrade my 147 to a 159 soon, i just don't like the front design of the Mito or Giulietta.
@zerolionking : it is 4 doors car, the back door handle is look like alfa 147!
enjoy the italian cars!!
yupppp i livei n canada and apprently they wer supsoed to make some alfa dealers in 2009, but we still dont have them :(
This car isn't Ugly, No Small Hatch looks better than this!
This car is so nice.
Why the headlights are flashing like a police car?
I can't wait til Alfa is reintroduced stateside. They need to change the front though. The styling isn't befitting for an aggressive car.
We need this in the U.S. Or, more accurately, I need this in the U.S.
Hello yahoo users! i was waiting for you!
100th comment, centrinary year for alfa and what a car will be looking at either this or an audi A1 but so far have stuck to audi dealerships maybe i should visit an alfa garage aswell, dont think this has posted my earlier comment, flipping youtube to put it politely
@phaethon42
Your honesty and transparency amuses us.
@phaethon42 i'm happy that americans want to buy italian cars???Why so if i may ask?:)
@u1435 it's a shame that alfa's reputation is so poor. it depreciates too fast. good luck
@dudegotskills well i hope u get one:)best wishes:)
this new alfa romeo giulietta is easily alot better looking than the cars it compete's with.
Such an outdated view on things. Reliability isnt a problem anymore really. Check the JD power survey before you slander
What a fantastic car! Trully an italian beauty. :)
@alfista1982 excellent choice my friend!!
@johnnywires3 I would thinks so, they hired a german to do the designing of this car.
@JCY006 this car is italian like me and remaining in europe is not for US....manual trasmission is true alfa not automatic... but in us how do you drive an automatic transmission? is a shit automatic transmission
@numbtesticle Thanks man!
Amazing!!!!
nice car love it
@numbtesticle Because we are sick and tired of having the same old cars, Japanese, American, and German. We don't have any Italian cars. Come stateside....please!
Is there only one bend in that track ?!!
