Hey man, thanks for reviewing my car. I'm glad you liked it! Yeah, i dialed away some of the oversteering tendency until my driver mod is adequate. Also, yyeeeesssh... i can hear my brakes, haha 😅
Something about continuous sun on super hot tarmac gives me depression. I prefer to go for this type of driving in the forest and in the evening . Especially spring or autumn.
Nice review. Have you driven a stock suspension AP2 btw? Every time I drive my friend's AP2, I expect the front end to be sharper, but I think the 2nd gen BRZ turns in more sharply. The BRZ feels like the front end has less roll and responds more immediately. S2000 rolls more, then finally takes a set and digs in. Stock suspension on both. AP2 is on a max stock camber alignment (-1.9 degrees F). BRZ has double front camber bolts (-2.4 degrees F). I thought it was in my head at first, but my friend said he felt the same thing.
I reckon some of these car companies must be half asleep! You come up with something so iconic like a Honda S2000, yu should continue to develops and finesse it across the years like say Porsche and it’s 911. With Hondas cred and obvious know how, imagine how amazing an S2000- say three gen along from the original- would be now.. Also, imagine how amazing all those interim versions would be. Mazda RX7 could probably fall in into same category. I think Nissan Z are kinda in the right ball park re this too. They just need to iron out some details and make their diehard followers happy and they’d be all set. Regardless, sort it out Honda..!! Bring back this amazing little car. Hydraulic steer, manual gears, inline four, 9000rpm redline, nice simple lines along with that uncluttered dash layout and yus would be straight:))
You should just blur the speed the entire time if you're worried about it. Blurring it only when it goes over a certain speed is like pleading the 5th only on specific questions; you still look guilty. And objectively, you're only blurring the speed when you're actually speeding so the logic of it is already there.
@sam-iy2lr maybe all of us are just excited about an alternative, and affordable forged options. While the Volks are obviously great, I personally think that look is kind of played out at this point. So I went with these VS-5RS.
way back in 2001 I was cross shopping this car, a 2000 bmw m roadster and porsche boxster s - I ended up getting the m roadster, passing on owning a future iconic car🙄
@@elementsk8erq I haven't, would love to compare it to my BRZ - I'll say aside from the raw torque and induction sounds of the M Roadster, the BRZ handles better, more predictable when pushing hard, flatter cornering, feels better balanced, chasis feels stiffer - power to weight is about the same.
It's worth it. Your not going to find a $30k car these days as rewarding and visceral to drive as a s2000. Those that say it's not worth it probably has never driven one before. I own a 2023 civic type R and a 2007 s2000 and the s2000 is the better driver's car.
@sengvang3718 that's quite a statement. I'm currently debating checking out a late AP2 or new Type R. Many have said the S2000 is something I have to experience.
Sheesh. Such an S2K fanboy
😂😂

With configurations, the car still does well after so many years. Also, edit on the video is great! :D

AP1 is my favorite!!!

As much as I want one, I am not going to buy more than 2 decade old used. If Honda made one again and priced at 50k, I would 100% buy one.

Were you at an Apex VS-5RS meet or something? Love that wheel.
They had a group buy for their initial release, I think many people including myself got in on the deal.
@@nocturneastro2539 All the cars lined up in that canyon had those wheels. Was a funny coincidence.

@@nocturneastro2539 I'm not criticizing, I want them as well! Just having trouble with the price, but maybe someday.
@sam-iy2lr oh I didn't think you were criticizing. I just thought you were curious about these wheels and why they're coming up in the scene. 😀

Not worth 30k tho
