Cookie Clicker is truly a fantastic game. Orteil really knocked it out of the park with the updates over the years. I would recommend checking out some other idle/incremental games since you seem to have the type of brain that enjoys the gameplay loop.
I was thinking about looking at some of the other incremental games that Orteil has made, but I kinda want to wait and "finish" Cookie Clicker first lol. Not sure if that will ever come to pass though.
Its insane how much 4 mini games can do to make the game fun the way that they all feel so important to progression. I really think everyoneshould use guides cus some people just ignore some mini games and don't want to figure it out so they just stay away. Using everything the game has to offer is how to have fun

4:03 I hate grocery store frosted sugar cookies, they are truly a monstrous creation. I can't even call them cookies with confidence, they have the texture and the structural integrity of a cake. Oh yeah and the game is pretty fun too, I keep my save file on a flash drive somewhere in case I ever feel like cookiemaxxing again...
Btw as someone who's got a buttload of experience in cookie clicker, plus almost achievements here's a few tips (click read more for them) -use the nursetulip + golden clover setup (alternating rows of nursetulip and gclover)to get massive combos( 2 or more buffs stacked). -anything milk/kitten related is usually overpowered. Try to use these. -To stack dragonflight and click frenzy you'll have to rely a bit on luck, since whenever the former is active, the latter can't be summoned by force the hand of fate (fthof). The strategy is to cast fthof beore clicking a Golden cookie, then click both and hope that you got dragonflight in the first one. -Elder covenant is really not that great. Instead, use elder pledge while doing combos, and stay in stage 3 of grandmapocalypse otherwise
few notes on this: alternating columns work just fine for nursetulip/gclover setups all combos are 2 or more golden cookie buffs stacked you click the dragonflight (nat) first and then the click frenzy as if you do it the other way around the df has an 80% chance of just cancelling the cf
That last leap from 95% to 100% of achievements requires probably the same amount of dedication as the rest of the game combined. To get it you need to combine 5 different golden cookie auras and for that you need to learn to predict the next golden cookie that comes from hand of fate spell, learn to sell wizard towers to cast the spell one more time and get into more tech details of the game. After getting familiar with it i just decided that i wont take this challenge and quit my run at 95%
5 active auras? I don’t remember that achievement, but with Frenzy, a Building Special, Dragon Harvest, Godzamook, and literally any other modifier (maybe clot would be easy?) it shouldn’t be too difficult to get that. The achievements I find most annoying are the ones that rely purely on amount of time invested and sheer luck. Like Shiny Wrinkler, Golden Sugar Lump, 27,777 Golden Cookies clicked, etc… Those just feel less like achievements and more about how much life you’ve invested.
True strory during corona virus online classes I played a lot of cookie clicker and the farm minigame, I used the white mold to boost my cps to a point that getting negative cps boosted my cps for some wierd reason
i love this game. i have every achievement (including shadow!) and i just enjoy trying to get the biggest combos i can. i dont plan to stop anytime soon!
People who hate on Cookie Clicker are like people who hate on anime, they think it makes them look cool to be sassy while they hate on it and say it is bad even though they have no idea what they are talking about and they look like idiots, and when a few of them decide to actually dive head in to see why people like it they realize it is really good and doesn't deserve any hate.
I wish you talked more in depth as it would have been a better representation of the game but still good vid as you explained the game in good way for the most part
