For those of us in the United States, know that the latest DW745 is not as deep as the one featured here. To save you some re-sawing, cut the 770 mm pieces (approx. 30 3/8 inches) down to 24 and 1/4 inches instead. Trial and error. Also, drink beer AFTER you do the dry assembly :p Many thanks for the free plans, I look forward to exercising the saw this holiday season!
I would love to have read this before, I had to re-saw those too but also, if I would do it again, I would cut those 580mm into 590 or 600mm because DW745 here have two small bevels it side of the table, 10~20 mm more clearance would have save cuts to slim down top strips and their supports. Thanks for great plans.
Hey Jeff. I just got my DW745 2 weeks ago. Does this still apply for your measurements? Sorry for the ignorance. I'm newish to woodworking. Definitely new to the table saw. I haven't even used it because I'm kind of skeeeeeert. LOL! I can do a circular saw for days so not sure why I'm a bit skittish on trying the table saw. Maybe because I have to cut a 45 degree angle on a 2x12x8 board and I have nothing to help hold it up while I cut. Thank you for any feedback you can offer. :)
I don't often comment on videos, but I wanted to let you know that this is a video that a new woodworker like myself can really appreciate because of your small shop. On top of that, it is clear that your shop is not 100% your shop, but also doubles as storage for your everyday life. A lot of woodworking videos that I see are professional shops that seem to have every tool imaginable at their disposal. Great job with this video. Keep up the good work!
I got my first table saw, a Dewalt 7491 and have spent the last 3 weeks searching TH-cam for plans for a rolling base for it. Since my shop is only 9' x 12', and already houses a Radial Arm Saw, a 6 foot workbench, drill press, and Dewalt 735 thickness planer, I needed something with the smallest footprint I could find. So I just used your plans for the lower unit as I don't have the room for the upper unit. I also had to resize the lower unit so it was smaller and changed the height to where I prefer it to be. I used the planer to size all the 2x4's to an exact 1.25 x 3.00 to make assembly a lot nicer. Thanks for this video, it is the BEST one on TH-cam!!! I've subscribed to your channel as well.
I printed out your plans and instructions and when I assembled this stand I could not believe that the result was that precise - like assembling IKEA furniture! Well done and thank you!
I was planning on incorporating this saw into my existing workbench and was having trouble picturing how it should look and where my cuts should be. Your video really helped. Thanks.
I am building this at the moment, but realised during dry assembly that the 745 is much deeper that the 7485 and also a little taller from feet to surface than the 7485. It is a very good idea to dry assemble before driving all the screws in :-)
Pete, from Michigan, USA...just wanted to let you know you did a fantastic job on the project. It wasn't over complicated and honestly the 1 I'll use to build the cart for my new table saw. Thank you kind sir and I plan to watch more from you!
Thank you for this video. I bought myself the newest type of DeWalt table saw a month ago. I do think I have to remeasure some things because of this model. I do love to see how other people have the same problem(s)/struggles as I have......To less space in his garage hahaha. I love the simplicity of this design. And the possibility to easily extends it with foldable sides for more table surface.
When screwing the pieces together I would usually clamp the pieces thereby reducing the chance of the pieces shifting.. Very concise and easy to follow video...Well done...
Ive been going through lots of videos on YT for a tablesaw station for my DW and your one is the one that looks the smartest to me with respect to the moveable fence. Thanks for the video and plans. Mike

Excellent video, you have less room than I have and you have proved it is possible to work in a limited space all be it with difficulty, hats of to you, nice plans btw!
Just finished mine! Love it!! Mine is a different model but looks identical to the 745 in the stores now - exactly. I just changed some of the measurements and works like a dream. I had to remove the guard holder that’s attached to the right side, but that’s ok. It won’t be used as a job site saw anyway so the guard will live on the machine more often than not. Thanks again for the inspiration!
Happy Wife Happy Life I forgot to mention too that I got myself a Kreg jig because of your video. Makes assembling a frame an easy job! I had to make my wife a cabinet for her laundry area first though...😁

This was a perfect table saw design for my purpose. I'm interested in getting the new Dewalt 8 1/4" new corded table saw. The only thing I would add is flip-up extentions on the left and back of the table. That would really make it perfect! Thanks so much for the video!
Great design. My work shop is small also. This will help me. I see room for some hinged side feeder extensions and maybe a hinged front and back feeder extensions.
I am doing this project now. I completed the frame around the saw today. Will build the bottom stand tomorrow. Had to shorten the the depth but all other measurements were correct. I plan to add an out feed table too Thanks for the plans!
I like the simplicity of your design. I have viewed a lot of ideas as I have the same saw. yours is one of the best. I made a cart using a lot more material wish I had seen this first
Very helpful.... I've had my saw for about 6 months and just built this stand today.... I altered the height of the base slightly so it's the same height as the rest of my benches. I'll look in the future to put some kind of hinged support to the back and side for larger pieces of wood. Thanks a lot for sharing

great idea for my small one car garage/shop. I modified the plans for the new Dewalt 7485 US Model. I also added two drawers to the bottom section for storing push stick, clamps etc. I have dimensions for the top section for the 7485 if you want to post them.
Thanks for this! Been looking for stand plans for awhile. The US version of this saw is different. Tried converting your metric to inches but had to start from scratch. Also, I cut dado grooves in the back rail to accommodate my sled. Great job...very happy with it!
Well done design and video; I have the same Dewalt saw and plan to tackle this project. Question: How would you feel about using 2x3's (38x76mm) instead of 2x4's (38x101mm) for the frame parts? Given the short run length of the parts, perhaps 2x3's would be strong enough and also reduce the weight and material cost? Just a thought for your learned opinion. Thanks!

I thought i was going a bit mad there for a min or seeing things. I wondered why this video came up again, as i have seen all your videos and plans from day 1. Well Done on the build AGAIN ha ha ha. Barry (ENG)
Enjoyed the video and like the plans. I have a Dewalt DWE7480 table saw. Since the table saw has a small footprint and doesn't make it easy to cut sheets of plywood (even 2'x4'), do you feel your plan would be strong enough to add a folding outfeed extension and also a folding extension wing on the left side?
I think you did a great job on the project including the video. I have a small Makita table saw and this will no doubt help with moving around the shop, but I look at the bottom shelf and wonder if I can make my DeWalt planner fit in there?
Thanks, I'll use your free plan because I have the same table saw. Actually, I was looking for something like that for a long time ago and finally, I find it over here. But I need to change some dimension because of the US. size is different.
Well done. NOthing fancy but very functional. I like it better than most of the plans I've seen. I just might use your plan. Did you give any thought as to an outfeed table? Something that would fold down out of the way when not needed? Or it could be used as an assembly table when not being used for cutting.
Nice build. What is the total height including casters ? I will be building this and the top of the saw must be flush with my workbench, so i can use it as an outfeed table.
Not sure, you can see the dimensions without castors in the plans. The castors might be 75mm total height. You can make It work though just get castors to suit or add platforms to them to raise the height.
I enjoyed the video, especially seeing how much you're able to get done in a micro shop, but honestly I don't see the point of the upper frame. Other than a couple of inches of support on either side of the table, it really doesn't do much for you. I have a Dewalt 745 and absolutely LOVE the fence (the fence makes or breaks a table saw), but it's not really made for a cart. I think the base cabinet on casters is all you need.
Unfortunately I've had to re-upload this video after the previous one got irreversibly corrupted by TH-cam at 72,000 views. FREE Plans here: drive.google.com/open?id=0B1KlroDGOwxVNjRVQUVMeFNBeG8
Hi while I was watching this video and I notice that your table saw push stick are placed back of the fence and when I looked at D&M tools dewalt DW745 the push stick are at the side of the table saw where wrench are kept, your table saw fence seems different to the one I saw in D&M tools
I know this is an old video but I think its great, but would you know if the dw745 is the same size as the dw7485? I'm new to woodworking and want to build a saw station like this as I have a small garage where I'm working from. I'm also from the UK
@@WheresMyPencilUK Thanks for even replying, im going to go with it anyway, by my measurements the hight is the same but the width and length are slightly shorter. so i will use this guide and adjust for my tablesaw. Will let you know how it turns out :)
Hello there, is this the same table saw which you bought from D&M tool. When I looked at it, there are two knob screws at the back of the fence which your table don't see having or you have taken them out. Does the back of the fence there is extra fence which over lap for as guide support for cutting a bit larger piece
Hi there, I'll be building this shortly so thanks for the great tutorial. One question, have you found it awkward constantly being on castors? doesn't it shift when you are using it? I realise you can lock a couple of them but it doesnt lock them from spinning round.
Just curious, why not just make the base and bolt the saw to that? Why add the top frame? I’m planning on something similar for my Bosch 4000 10” saw. But adding a frame around the top will just add to the space it takes up. The folding stand is bad enough!
Any idea why the upper frame has so much more blocking that the lower frame? I see part of it is to allow space for the rear fence but any reason to build those gaps rather than leave them out completely?
For those of us in the United States, know that the latest DW745 is not as deep as the one featured here.
There is an outfeed table video. 👍🏻
Great high quality video. Nice to see such work,
Thanks Steve.
I built it. Thanks. I’ll make a donation.
Thanks very much for the donation sorry for the delay in replying; my wife just had our second child! Good luck with the build!
Thank you so much. This is helping make mine.
You’re welcome.
Great video very helpful thanks
You’re welcome.
I am trying to make detached extension portable table. What would be the exact height of the saw you kept her to align the top surfaces?
That’s one great little mitre saw. I have one myself👍
Have you by chance made a combination table saw router table or added router to this excellent Dewalt 745 cart?
No but I have a separate router table build video check it out.
Nice build. What is the total height including casters ? I will be building this and the top of the saw must be flush with my workbench, so i can use it as an outfeed table.
Not sure, you can see the dimensions without castors in the plans. The castors might be 75mm total height. You can make
It work though just get castors to suit or add platforms to them to raise the height.
@@WheresMyPencilUK Sounds like a plan. Thanks.
That is unless of course you want to fit a folding outfeed to the cabinet. Can’t do that with just a base.
Unfortunately I've had to re-upload this video after the previous one got irreversibly corrupted by TH-cam at 72,000 views.

Happy Wife Happy Life Thanks, this is what I was looking for.
Nice job :))
What software do you use?
Thank's for plans
Hi while I was watching this video and I notice that your table saw push stick are placed back of the fence and when I looked at D&M tools dewalt DW745 the push stick are at the side of the table saw where wrench are kept, your table saw fence seems different to the one I saw in D&M tools
Nice build!
Thanks BronkBuilt.
Im gonna build a look alike. But with top all enclosure for dust and noise barrel. Thanks for the exemple.
I know this is an old video but I think its great, but would you know if the dw745 is the same size as the dw7485? I'm new to woodworking and want to build a saw station like this as I have a small garage where I'm working from. I'm also from the UK
Thanks. Unfortunately I think it’s different dimensions.
Great build 👍👍👍
Thanks Nick.
Great job what's the max rip capacity on that saw
Not sure but I’m sure if you google it you will find out it’s the DeWalt DW745.
Happy Wife Happy Life thanks
Hi there, I'll be building this shortly so thanks for the great tutorial. One question, have you found it awkward constantly being on castors? doesn't it shift when you are using it? I realise you can lock a couple of them but it doesnt lock them from spinning round.
Glad you like it. All 4 castors have a break so no movement at all even in a spinning direction. Even with the break on just 2 it doesn’t move. 👍🏼
@@WheresMyPencilUK ah brilliant. Thanks for the quick reply 😁
Just curious, why not just make the base and bolt the saw to that? Why add the top frame?
I’m planning on something similar for my Bosch 4000 10” saw. But adding a frame around the top will just add to the space it takes up. The folding stand is bad enough!
The top frame helps increase the table size giving more stability for bigger pieces. It also means you can mount folding outfeeds to it. 👍🏼
beau boulot bravo
+goemaere fabian thank you
Cheers, that's why. Coz I rang company where u got ur saw that's the only Version they have
Hello!
Do you have 3d model On Dewalt 745?
Obrigado, vou fazer igual.
Any idea why the upper frame has so much more blocking that the lower frame? I see part of it is to allow space for the rear fence but any reason to build those gaps rather than leave them out completely?
If you leave them out you have nothing to attach a folding out feed to.
@@WheresMyPencilUK Ah thanks! that's what I get for not watching the follow-up videos.
