Hi all. Hand surgery made this one difficult...and I will try to respond. BUT, do yourself a favor and get through the hilarious SLAP FEST at the end of the video. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the reminiscing. -Victor
I did like them when younger, but when i was getting into some "mature" adventures, i'm sure i thought i was too old for them, lol. Thanks for the watch and comment.
I'll be turning 60 on the 14th of October next month and I grew up watching cartoons of the 70's, 80's and 90's but I still try to watch them here on TH-cam, Hanna-Barbera, Warner Bros, Terrytoons Filmation and Harvey cartoons, even the live action kids shows of Sid and Marty Kofft were my favorites thank you very much.📺🇺🇲
I have a lot to say about most of these shows! -- but at 14:13 (rewind, pause, rewind!) I grabbed a pair of 3D glasses to check out that "hologram". *And it was awesome!!!* Wish I would've thought of it back then. Thank you for a great episode!
In the original Tarzan books, Tarzan leaves the jungle briefly after he finds out that he is the Earl of Greystoke. He goes to England, getting an education. However, he is not happy with his life in civilization and returns to the jungle. The animated series takes place after his return to the jungle.
Those were both so good. Yeah, i think i was shocked at the subject matter of Jem, and becoming a teen, I was a little embarrassingly fascinated, lol. Thanks for watching
I loved Jana! She was based on Rima, a character from the book Green Mansions. The character from that book, Rima, was adapted into DC comics. Curiously, Jana's necklace was similar in look and gimmick as Xena's throwing disc.
@@GENXPERIENCE I remember growing up ABC,NBC and CBS would have some type of Friday evening variety show twice a year highlighting the new cartoons coming out that season which would be the next day. You probably already did a video on that but I remember them so vividly. And would plan my Saturday morning schedule accordingly lol
Although i know it well, i would always miss it. My mother didn't like the TV guide, so we had to find things on our own, but those introduction to new cartoons were GOLD
This boomer here remembers just about all of these cartoons. And I'll have you know I took Flirtacia very seriously. She was the best part of the Gulliver show!
Now As I Can Recall Jana Of The Jungle Aired on late nights on The WB from the mid to late '90s like Fellow Hanna Barbera shows Where's Huddles ???, Wait Til' Your Father Gets Home and The Roman Holidays and I also remember I had a crush on Penny McCoy from Where's Huddles and Jana Of The Jungle Bill and Joe their Limited Animated Style created some Voluptuous cartoon women and I say better Than Saban even Megan Fastler (NASCAR Racers), Casey Taylor (Bureau Of Alien Detectors), Tenko (Tenko and The Guardians Of Magic) and Anaconda (Xyber 9 A New Dawn) just couldn't cut the Mustard for me
My memory of the Tarzan/Lone Ranger/Zorro show was that I always wanted to see The Lone Ranger more than the other two, as the 1950 series was being shown on weekdays in my area and I had the Gabriel Lone Ranger and Tonto dolls ... um .... action figures, but it seems like I never saw the Ranger as I watching something else during that portion of the show. Looking at Saturday morning TV schedules I guess it was the Super Friends, Thundar or The Smurfs. I think the The Lone Ranger could still work today, but he shouldn't be "modernized" or just have a decent script which the CW's revival attempt or the Johnny Depp feature film did not have.
Agreed that a more authentic take in that period would help make the LR work today. Westerns are a gamble, though. I did like all 3 of the cartoons, but i would catch them randomly, too. Others were my first choice. Thanks for the comment.
Pantheon is a modern (tragically canceled early) western show that could be called "True to life." It starts as "next Sunday AD" with gruesome techno-crimes and cults of personality and, while I'm still early, know that it gets wilder as technology accelerates owing to an information war between uploaded minds.
9:39: Yet again, I think I might be the only reviewer on this platform who has reviewed the half live action, half animated made for TV movie, The Bannana spits in hocus pocus park

That's why God gave us two hands my friend..when one is banged up, we still got another. I have all of these shows on my channel
All great cartoons.
I always liked the Hillbilly Bears.
🎶 Do the bear! 🎶
I did like them when younger, but when i was getting into some "mature" adventures, i'm sure i thought i was too old for them, lol. Thanks for the watch and comment.

Jana of the jungle was the best cartoon ever
Do good. Deserved more!
I have this cartoon on my channel
I wish I had known that before, lol. I will have to watch from there. Thank you
Get well soon! I loved Jana of the Jungle. Wish we could get a DVD or Blu Ray set of it. The Zorro show was good too. Jem was the best!
Thank you so much> and thanks for watching. All 3 were wonderful shows and great fun.

Thank you. You are who this is for. I love classics...of eras past. Have Me TV Toons on in the background A LOT
Sending you healing vibes for a quick recovery.
Hey there. Thank you so much> i could use those
Jem was the best, and right there with GIJoe, Transformers and MASK for my afternoons.
A lot of people don't realize the writers for those exact cartoons were the same folks. Great stories, even if they sold toys. I bought it all.

No, thank you. What an awesome comment, thank you so much. I should have said GRAB YOUR 3D GLASSES, lol
The video turned out great, as always, despite the hand injury 👍
Morning, and thank you. EDITING was a real B****. But i was happy with it. Glad you enjoyed.
O no hope you feel better! I have rotator cuff surgery coming up next month
Thank you. Hope it goes well, sounds like that will be more involved than my ligaments, lol. Thanks for watching.
Dude. I had thought I imagined this show since I as a little child lol. God I miss the 80s
Nope...it was not a dream, lol. I miss them too.
I just loved "Tarzan" - not only was his hair on point, he was quite articulate. Who knew jungle education had such solid standards?
lol. Jungle ed might be just what we need. Thanks for watching

However, he is not happy with his life in civilization and returns to the jungle. The animated series takes place after his return to the jungle.
Really? I thought they just didn't get that far since Jane only visited once and would return. But your description makes sense.
The good old days.
Darn good cartoons
Great, now my brain is working on a script where Goldie Gold (who you didn't cover) helps Jana find her father.
Oh, shell be coverd. I enjoyed that cartoon, but it is going in the Oft Forgot Sat Morning show>
Feel better! Your channel is fantastic!
Thanks man. Hopefully soon...and I appreciate you watching!
Great video I hope you feel better
thank you. on both accounts! Appreciate you
Zorro and Jana are my two favorites listed here but Jem was surprisingly deep for an 80s cartoon.
Those were both so good. Yeah, i think i was shocked at the subject matter of Jem, and becoming a teen, I was a little embarrassingly fascinated, lol. Thanks for watching

Thank you for the additional info about Rima. I remember watching Xena in the 90s and thinking her weapon was like Janas.
I found what you said at the end of the video so funny, because I ate a bowl of Cap'n Crunch while watching the video!
Now that is funny. I love that kind of coincidence.
You keep up those innuendos cutie
Well thank you for the compliment, and you bet I will...they are part of me, and i got to make these interesting without being crass, you know?
Another great one my friend
Appreciate it. Got any relevant good ideas for me?

lol. Flirtactia is important, but I thought GLUM was the most fun.
I really need to research the hillbilly bears! They look fun.
lol. Thanks for watching...and they were okay...when i was younger, but my cartoon choices were maturing ny this time
Cheeta the Chimp was one of Tarzan's animal friends not featured in the animated series. Nkima was Tarzan's bff in this series.
True, Cheeta was made up for the 1930s movies, so they wanted to keep the monkey from the book for this series.
Listen to the lone ranger and tarzan radio shows

Love this. Thanks for sharing. I think Jana"s animation...especially running from the back view, was gorgeously done. She deserved more

I miss the Banana Splits Show. 😢
Crazy good times.
One show you forgot to feature in this video was Filmation's 1969 series Fantastic Voyage.
I love all things fantastic voyage. It was released very early in Gen Xperience, 1966...but I think because it didn't rerun much I don't think of it.
I thought Lone Ranger had a toy line also. I remember having some as a kid. Or was that based off the 1981 movie and not the cartoon.
It looks like they might be from 1973 and not related to this cartoon directly. thanks for watching

certainly sounds like some true to life adventures. Thanks...it seems up my alley, too.

Probably...just not emotionally connected to it enough, i guess for me.
Be honest, did you injure your hand while pretending you were on Dynasty?
It was the 4th slap that did it, lol.
