There was a movie from the 80's that had a protagonist that was attached to a tank in a very similar fashion to those "Beast Machines". It was called " Elimanators" from 1986.

Something that blew my mind occurred last week. I was at Comic-Con and saw a guy with a perfect bravestarr outfit, and a guy that had an incredible 30/30 outfit.
I got a picture with them both. And then I was told I was the only person in the entire Comic-Con that recognized 30/30. I didn't think 30/30 was forgettable

You have no idea that you just solved a mystery that has driven me crazy since my childhood in the 80s. And I am so thankful for it.
For decades there has been a toy that I remember owning, but could not remember what series it was associated with. Furthermore, whenever describing it, I would always be met with looks of confusion.
But after almost 40 years of mystery, because of your video...I now know what series that toy came from and its name. It was Raygoth from Power Lords. I used to use him as a monster to battle GI Joes, or to battle my smaller vehicle voltron. It is so awesome to see that toy again.

Getting home, opening the box, carefully applying the stickers. Great nostalgic memories! I remember looking for the Dinobot Swoop for months and finally finding one left at a store one day. 3:03 You know, As I watched this... MOTU claimed it was the first... With the Light Beam Action stuff... But I beg to differ!!! There was ANOTHER Before them!
I mean, OK it was slightly different as it basically used the same tech as in a Infa-Red Remote Control... But that still counts as it is a spectrum of light!
The STARBIRD AVENGER from GT was actually the first... Pre-Dating the MOTU idea... The idea was simple, If you had teh Alien Spacecraft and an Avenger, Both had Firing Red Lasers and both had a Standard Infrared receiver... If teh lasers of one hit the infrared sensor... The Sound and Lights woudl stop for about 5 seconds or so...
I never got the Alien Craft, but I had an Original Starbird and I did also get an Avenger... As I had both at the same time... I used my OG Starbird fighting against my Avenger... And yeah, It still worked!
Funny how something so simple can trigger so many memories And also reveal that Mattel LIES A LOT! (Or maybe they just thought that they were being clever as they used Actual Light Beams and not infared! Its still LIGHT one way or another!)

I have asked this question of many vintage toy lovers and maybe you could help. Back in the 70s I had a purple wasp spaceship/robot. It had suction cups on its feet and a grappling hook came out of its mouth when you turned its eyes. It also had a bomb at dropped which they termed a bug bomb. I have been trying to find out what toy line this ship came from. It looked like a little bit the Galaxian graphic on the side of the video game. Nobody seems to know what this thing is. There were several spaceships to go along with it, one being a black spider. My mom bought me this from a discount store called treasure Island. I love this toy as a little girl and I would love to find a vintage one to buy. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated!

I remember that unlike the typical Go-Bots, there was no die cast, which really set them apart. Original owner of one from 1987. Clip that attaches the top jaw is prone to wear over time. I refuse to push the tail to activate the tongue mechanism bc tongue is segmented with plastic straw material that’s also fragile, but the action feature is powerful enough to pull in any TCat or MOTU figure easily!

@@GENXPERIENCE Your channel makes me feel like a kid again, an "elder millennial" whose gen-x-perience was hand-me-downs and pop culture knowledge from the older kids in my neighborhood. I think my humor developed early on as a way to fit in while hanging out with the gen-x kids.

When I see the mask figures and playsets always felt that they should have made GI Joe in that scale.

Hmmm, interesting. I can see it go either way, but that is because I thought both were pretty darn cool.

I do remember the cartoon well. Knew they had a toyline, but I think there was a name difference between them. I love that you knew exactly what you were talking about, but thank you for sharing.
