- At Drivenmad, we repair, maintain and upgrade vehicles in our workshop, here in the sunny Algarve, Portugal.
Having hundreds of kilometres of dirt roads, dirt tracks and various hills with ruts on our doorstep, we venture out and test our 4x4’s to the limit (our limit, not theirs )
When we can get one, we will slip in a vehicle review, along with some product testing - who does not want to know which tyre stops the best ?

The Ulter is great. Admittedly, the build quality is rather mediocre, but the sound and the price are really good. Had thought about putting a Monza underneath for over €1000. Now I'm happy I went with the $400 stainless steel Ulter.
Fun fact: The silencer in the Ulter is completely empty ;-)
We fiddled for ages, been dropped on the way as well - but sounds awesome ! thought the silencer would just have bugger all in it - thanks for confirming 😂
good to see another abarth video; myself i did look also to this exhaust since the price is very good; but i did sell my abarth turismo 3 weeks ago and bought the 595 esseesse and it have stock the akrapovic exhaust; sounds very nice with the valve open;i did disconnect the valve plug so its always open ;-) abouth your last video the headlights; i did contact the guy in facebook;did use google translate but he did not reply :-( i really like your headlights they look amazing; found another italien website with custom headlights but for a set incl the daylights,so 2 headlights and 2 dayslights its around 1000 euros; bit high price for me,greetings and keep going.
Shame he did not reply, but for the full set ( fronts, running and tail ) we forked out 1600 euros - outch ! I would love an Akrapovic, but that was out of my league at the moment - glad you got one ... enjoy the new car !
Silencer looked really nice painted, superb tailpipes but filthy....

Hi Jon and Nath,
Well the new exhaust looks good and sounds "throaty", another well presented video so thank you for posting.
Here in the UK replacing a standard exhaust with an non-standard sports type exhaust would be regarded as a "modification" and as such the insurance company would need to be informed, which would possibly increase the premium, so is it the same in Portugal?
Also does the new exhaust alter the emissions in any way, as CO2 emission levels form part of the UK MOT test?
If the new exhaust effects the CO2 emission then in the Uk that would also effect the vehicle tax?

Here anything goes if it is an approved part, and you have the IMT documentation to verify - it all does 🕺 my Jeep had to be physically approved as some parts were none standard without approval - so long as all the paperwork is in order, that’s all the insurance need 🥳

How did you remove the hangers so easy
Soaked them in WD40 overnight and they slid off without too much effort - just lucky me thinks !

Think you are probably right, but I can get 4 of these for one Bomber (which I did not have the dosh for)
If the car is stock would you need to adjust the hangers ?
To be honest, the exhaust looks awesome, but the build quality leaves a lot to be desired - it did not fit ( The car had the stock exhaust on, so nothing odd here) as the pipe was bent in transit (rubbish weld quality) and the hangers fitted, but offset the exhaust to one side, so hit the valance ( stock one and my new one) so the tips were off centre, looked crap - we welded the pipes solidly into place, so had to re paint it - we would have returned it, but to ship it back cost more that I paid for it - but now its on, looks great, sounds great and I love it (but you get what you pay for !)

Rest is all still stock ... thinking to change it, but all in great condition (surprisingly :0)
All this exhaust talk, and not even a glimpse of a pink shorts cladded tailpipe.
