Sam, it's not a good look having the tips from akrapovic, and not the exhaust!
I know you don't wanna spend the cash on a full one, but you could at least take out the akrapovic logo from the tips...

What does it matter? I bet the akra exhaust muffler is made by the same factory and they sell the tips separately on their site anyways.

How much did DK Tuning pay you or discount to get your custom? They are banned from the main abarth groups, lie through their teeth and have messed up countless abarths behind their facade of marketing. I understand you maybe weren't to know as they 'seem' legit at first glance but these guys are cowboys as others have mentioned and when it comes to having your abarth mapped, I would certainly recommend going onto the abarth owners club or modified abarth on Facebook and asking the community where the best places are... I've driven abarths mapped by DK myself and know plenty of people who've had no end of crap to put up with afterwards. Listen to the wider unbiased community, not just the seemingly friendly locals who are biased in their favour and will deny what the majority will tell you 👍🏻

*Yes mate. Some tasty mods on your car now. You are prime for a remap now. With those breathers you can prob get 220 and around 280ft lb. you can get more if you went sport cat you will be closer to 230 by 290 ft lb but it does make the the car much louder and asbo. Completely safe with that 1446 Garret turbo and believe me that will transform the car. Glad you are having fun in the Abarth*

DK tuning... oh no... you’ve fallen into the trap. Don’t be going there mate . Literally a reputation for ruining cars, stealing parts and damaging cars and not giving a shit. Only takes a quick search on the Facebook forums to find out what they’re like... cmon mate
Obviously you’re gonna get a good first hand experience as you’re literally putting it on TH-cam and well known. But that’s not the case for the norm..

Abarth? It is a Fiat 500 with a body kit.
@@markgilbertson1564 there is not a Fiat 500 with turbo....only the Abarth ones have turbo. And remember that Abarth started his history with the exhausts, and the modern Abarth also sounds very special, and is one of the first cars to include an optional exhaust directly from the factory....
We know Abarth was something more.....but Fiat has done a very good job with the brand name.

Your ABARTH actually produces nearly 200bhp from stock, even though the manufacturer claim is 178 bhp. Similar with the Turismo that has the same Turbo as the Comp, which has around 190hp when it’s claimed to have 170.

There is a guy calles Philip Kaess in Germany who is also doing a Abarth projekt at the moment. He is going completely nuts, but maybe you can get some inspiration from him.
Especially the axels are a weakpoint of the Abarths. They move and twist while withstanding forces on a racetrack. 😉

This is a cool project. I like it and can’t wait to see on track. Everyone seems just to do exhausts these days and forget about induction which is how you can get some really interesting old school noises! As a kid, you never had the money to get the proper bits like coil overs - it was usually a set of the cheapest lowering springs or actually lopping a coil or two off with an angle grinder! This makes me want to have some fun with hot hatches again - these mods pale into insignificance compared with paying the monthlies on a £30k loan and looks like more fun! Can second someone else’s thoughts on brake pads - think I got a set of Ferrodo DS2500 for a track day I did in an MGTF and they didn’t fade once.
Lovely Jubbly video, face is a picture too when accelerating.

Loving this, more of this please sam. N im also loving the fact that u dont go the conventional road of every car youtuber in the world of doing a gr yaris as their project car. I guess that’s y ure so refreshing to watch sam. U always seem to take the roads less traveled. When everybody else’s lining up to buy huracans, u buy a 360. N when u did buy something conventional, the 911 T, u did the unconventional thing of lugging it off all over the world. I think its safe to say that ill be a fan for life. Keep the good stuff coming!!

So the Bilstein B14 are more comfortable than the stock Comp Koni/Eibach? I'm in Sydney and we have pretty crap roads. My 2019 Comp is OK, but could always be better- just not stiffer!
And this Abarth don't be a Biposto with these, sorry, cheap Standard plain vanilla parts. Then you should go for the original Abarth parts !! And you need much more Carbon parts in your car, unless its only a normal Abarth and not the Original Abarth Biposto. Also you need the Biposto OZ Ultraleggera rims man. And when you buy Tuning parts then go for the good stuff from Pogea, Gtech or HRE.
Bilstein b14's??? They rust like hell. Hated mine. Should have gone KW V1 much better product. V3 if this was primarily a track toy. False Akra?? Sam blimey. :-(
This is going to be a fun build to watch. Nothing over the top ... just nice improvements over stock. I'm seriously thinking about purchasing a nice used Abarth just to have fun with. It's more fun to drive a slow car fast... than a fast car slow!
You should use real performance parts with the highest quality on the market from Pogea, Gtech and last but not least HRE. The air intake doesn't provides you much better performance, the Abarth stock air intake is good for up to 250 - 260 hourse power. Would be better to check the real stuff from from HRE then you get the good stuff for your car.

Another car guy! that doesn’t know how to work on his own car 😂🤦🏻♂️ it’s easy to pay someone to do it for you! Personally I like getting my hands dirty. And these mods are not hard to do yourself with simple tools
It would look better with chrome tail pipes instead of fake akrapovic tips that are from wish. They arent real akrapovic. Real akra tail pipes are £550 alone. Your fake ones are about £50. Love the rest of the mods though. Quality parts. Good luck
I don't know why this vid came up but seen a lot of negative comments on pages about DK lately from actual customers, why did you do what you did when you seem to have a great workshop and seemed to of known what you were doing ?
As usual Sam, you've knockd it out of the park again with this one. A few subtle changes and a massive result. Thus proving that you don't have to spend 20K just to get a better car.
All good, but for me it is a huge disappointment that you did not go for the akrapovic exhaust, either you do it right or dont do it at all, yes it is more expensive, but is a better quality and sounds much better.
Looks and sounds fantastic!! Should be a proper little animal around the track! I'm seeing comments about the akrapovic logo, you've not said it's anything it's not, the tips look awesome, I suppose the compromise is removing the badge, but in all honesty I don't see why anyone would care. Can't wait for more footage of this and the F-Type journey!

Great video as always! Make sure you get the car mapped tho, trust me it will transform the car and not just in terms of power, the drivability in general is so so much better and usable. I’ve got a stock turismo with just a map and it’s 212bhp, not crazy power but I think it’s more than enough for the car but like I said the drivability is so much better for everyday driving (of course on track too) and it puts the power down so well.

I hate the whistling noise it's making when accelerating, but other than that it sounds really good. Balanced and not shouty/farty. Good job :) Somewhat worrying seeing comments about the company that did the work though. ..but i'm not british, so i won't go there anyways :) Have read up on the comments, seeing you have several good mods planned. I'm excited for this little thing :)
Also some great comments regarding us from other customers too ✌🏻 unfortunately there’s always a few you can’t please no matter what you do abs a lot of the comments are from people who never have used us

The Biposto is back.
This is the ADN of Abarth, always upgrading them. Mine was an original 135 Cabrio and firstly I made an stage 1 for the ECU and it was fabulous, highly reccomended on 135/140 Abarths...
Then I went for turbo upgrade, in my case not TD04....I upgraded it to Garrett 1446 with 200c sport cat and I love it!! With Brembos, B14 (now only in the rear), shortshift, spacers,....and it runs awesome.
Not the fastest car, but it is one of the more fun cars I have ever driven...and I have driven lot of cars......but only one thing, enjoy it at the road, city,....it's very very fun....incredible...but for track I don't like it and I think is not a good car for making a tracktool.

In case you need reliable and excellent tuning you shoud take your car to Gtech or Pogea to get the reliable performance without harming your cars engine etc. Gtech for example can set up to a maximum of 255 HP in an Abarth, it´s called Gtech 245 RR ( price: around 20k Euros ). The "standard" Gtech Abarth has 240 HP for 5900 Euros. And the much more better and state of the art exhaust for Abarth is the monster exhaust from Pogea OR the exhaust from GTech. These tuners are experienced with Abarth for at least 12 years now ! And the Bilstein suspension is not the best for Abarth by far, a little too stiff and the performance is questionable. Sorry that I say this, but the suspenions from KW, also german manufacturer, is by faaar better !! The Bilstein works much better in BMW and Mercedes, no doubt about that, but in an Abarth the KW V1 or KW V3 ( track day suspension ) works much better, also experienced by other Abarth enthusiasts here in Germany.

You really couldn't have picked a less reputable company within the abarth scene. They're banned from our club (also the national abarth owners club now) with good reason given the state they've left some of our members cars in. Take everything they tell you with a pinch of salt and consult the owners groups if you want to know where's best to take your Abarth

I have that exact abarth,white, rear seat delete, induction kit, suspension etc but mine is meth injected and has the full akrapovic exhaust system...it was dyno'ed at 183bhp

Bit short this episode... I used to have 2 toys. Jag xk8 died with damp and boxster crashed in ice with summer tyres. Genuinely thinking about one of these- Seats for my 3 girls, space for golf clubs and trolley, manual ‘box and fun. Check!
