Absolutely adore CiCI. She's so similar to my daughter in terms of personality. Daughter isn't a musician but is an elite athlete. There's that easy confidence combined with modesty in regards to that awesome talent.
The bass player in one of the bands for which I play guitar is a Mark Bass artist. In addition to having a few of their amps he has a few of their Italian-made basses. He loves them (and so do I). Recently, though, he got sent at least one of their Chinese-made basses and he's used it a bunch of his gigs. It's a surprisingly good instrument... sounds great, plays great and it weighs almost nothing.
These Markbass basses are solid and a great value for the money! I think it'd be cool to have a comparison (Versus Battle!) between these and the Sire V7 basses...😉
I’m used to guitar builders presenting amps but not amp builders presenting guitars. The only time I can think of when I saw that was when the first musician I worked with from 1994 to 1997 briefly had a Marshall Strat-style guitar. I heard of the Ampeg Baby Bass, but I never saw one in person (yet). When CICI’s holding that salmon-finish bass, it looks big enough for its own postal code. She definitely knows how to play it.
And that smile on Taylor's face at the start of the last jam, epic! Hoping he and Oz and Cici and Ben, for example, can do some sludgy/doomy/deathy tracks at some point, that'd be hella fun! :D
It works and it’s what sells. Blame the players, not the makers. It’s always riskier to launch a new range that strays from the classic shapes because people won’t buy it. But you know this.
@@edwardjons8684 I beg to differ. Its the same as metal guitars being mainly black, its stuck on a circle... "people only buy X so thats what we build.... We only buy X because its the only thing available".... I worked for a metal guitar company (pointy 7/8 strings) and our most popular color was bright pink and light blue. Black was at the bottom of the list, thats becasue we didnt play stereotypes and/or listened to stores or a board of directors but agree, the players are at fault... but also theres very little options out there for non Fender shapes (but with Fender traditional style pickups) that are not boutique/ custom . Im just tired to see that everytime theres a new brand/model its always a jazz or a P bass. Not even a "our take on the model", nope, jsut a direct copy/paste of them I feel like Guitars manage to fully step out from Fender shapes, but basses always are stuck on them.... yet when they do step out basses are waaaay more experimental, rather than guitars mostly stay pretty close to traditional shapes without being one. There is always risk, but seems bass players are way happier to take bigger risk than guitars, yet guitars are the ones that are much more available in non-Fender shapes
So hyped to see bass content that isn’t rock/metal. More please!
More Röck/Metal 😉

Maybe I'm only just noticing in this video, but the lighting and colors and so vibrant and striking.

I have a GV4 in seafoam green. It's an incredible bass for the money! Bought mine locally, used but in brand new condition for $500 cash.
The cici box has been designed: it’s a footrest that classical guitarists use. Probably in stock right now at Anderton’s. 🤘🏻
ill take 10

Richard Bona VS Marcus Miller!
Yaaay, Cici and Lee are back!
I'm sold! I haven't wanted to buy a new bass in years but these are exciting
still pleasant to see you guys demonstrating stuff. and those jams, so good !!!!!
I bought one of these a month ago, it’s been amazing. 🎉

Love CiCi's playing, it's great for showing of the clarity of the instruments.
Thank You 🧡🖤
Thanks guys, interesting basses & definitely all rounders.
Sounds good, looks good and i really like the green and the red one! 🤩
@Worchesterfarian...That moniker is hilarious! 😂😂
great vid guys, CC in top form as usual, nice sounding basses.

I’ve got a GV5 in surf green - seriously great bass!!
How do you feel about the B string on that one?
@@TSBASSIST Quite good. I spend a lot of time down low, I either play 5 or 6 strings. The low B on the Gloxy is as good to play as my Bongo.
Awesome content. Cece Plays well in the pocket.
2:00 amp companies that have made budget basses- I bet a lot of people owned a Peavey bass at some point
I still do. From the days when they were US-built, but heavily modded now.
Theintro jam and the outro jam,😮❤😊
The,outro,givs,me the urj,to watch rudeness.
The old Peavey T40 was great bass,,,,🎸🤠
Orange, too, with their O-bass!
Nice jamming guys & gals!
I have a lot of basses and the GV4 is a very good model for the price!
great model? looks very expensive.
Great instruments!
Nice video! Go Red Giant 🔴‼️
👍☮️🌞🎸🎵
Can we get a review of the Markbass Yellow series? especially the Little Shorty.
So rare to see an instrument devoid of any harsh / poor sounds !

❤❤❤
Absolutely love the green one. For me personally, I just think the accent on the headstock is a bit of an eye sore. All opinion based of course!
The sunburst sounded great. The other’s demo was less than conclusive. Dead as doornail strings
Ashdown do basses too.
...as do Orange and Peavey and others, yeah.
Orange colour
Lots of love from INDIA ❤
Too bad the pickups aren't noiseless, that would have been the icing on the cake.
😊🎉😮
Great bass but the control buttons look big
Great sound, nice looking, except...that absolutely horrible headstock logo.
FFS what possessed them to do that???
This is just a thought, but what about using a strap?? Then It won't slide off.
Came for the teeth, stayed for the bucks!
Orange is selling a bass
OK for some, I guess. They look too big and heavy for my taste.
Yup they have an Aria vibe to them
They are not heavy at all.
where's the red guy?
679 quid, that i can afford
5 string is so monzo hot coral lol....
dear bass companies. Please stop making P and Jazz body shapes

Form follows function, a fact that Gibsonbacker doesn‘t understand.
Where the fuck is the captain?
Not in bass videos, obviously.
@@sundaynightdrunk lame, if you can play a guitar, you can play a bass
