    I bypass the heating.
    I just add about a quarter of a bar of soap, grated, to an soap dispenser bottle, filled about 3/4 with water, shake vigorously, and let set. After bubbles subside, I shake again. I repeat this till the soap is dissolved and incorporated with the water. Takes only about 2 days in all.

    Thank you so much for this ! I use Dove 🕊 soap on my face and they used to have a liquid Baby Dove for sensitive skin with the Exact same short fragrance free ingredients list as the bar. Then they changed the baby dove to add lavender. They made a Dove Liquid for adult sensitive skin but it includes hydrogenated soybean oil and fragrance. So I was back to using he bar again which is messy and germy. This is exactly what I was looking for to customize my on soap since these stupid companies can’t keep a formula.

    Do you need a preservative? I’ve watched a lot of videos like this and a lot of people seem to say it goes bad quickly once turned into liquid soap. How quickly does the soap go bad?

    • @ambreenqureshi5912

      Yup a broad spectrum preservative is best. I use optiphem in my homemade liquid soap. And yea every organic and water based home created product does have a short life if not preserved accordingly.

      How much water would you put in for the left over soap bars? I have some decent size peices I want to do this with but don't want to mess up by adding too much water..

    • @YouTuber-mc2el
      @YouTuber-mc2el ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kelliecoddington5460 I would guesstimate how many bars you have in leftovers and add the appropriate amount. If you like thicker soap add a little less. If you add to much just add more leftovers to achieve what you are looking for.

    Works Great! I make my own bar soap and wanted to turn some of it liquid. Recipe 115 grams shredded soap and 500 grams water. Edit: My homemade soap was too turned to liquid got too thick which in my opinion was a good thing which means to me it just needs more water. It is possible that this recipe is contingent on ambient room temperature. For example if it were summer and 85* in the house your soap might be more runny than if it were winter and 65^. With that said I think a better recipe is 100 grams soap to 500 grams water.

    • @DeannasWorld

      Thanks for the measurements. I wanted something a little thicker and more of a jelly texture, so I used less water which worked out great. At 77F in my house, it cooled to a thick jelly texture that I could scoop out of the jar to use which was great for me. I wanted that instead of actual liquid soap. But yes, more or less water will fix the texture. I also added some glycerine to increase the moisturizing properties of the soap.

    • @DeannasWorld
      @DeannasWorld ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@sowmyadey4571 if you're just using it as a hand soap to wash your hands, you can pretty much use whatever soap you like. If you're going to use it on your face, I would recommend ensuring that it's a soap that's suitable for your face and won't strip it too much. That's why Dove bar soap is recommended so much. It's very gentle and safe on hands and face.

    @fixitsamo how do you keep your soap a liquid? Mine will firm up jelly-like. Someone said maybe ambient temp causes it to firm up. I usually keep my home at about 69 degrees Fahrenheit. May I ask how cool or warm you keep your ambient temp at? Just trying to figure out if that is indeed the issue for me.

    • @kisunamayan
      @kisunamayan 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      every 113 grams of barsoap you need 2 cups of water
      just less the 2 cups of water a little bit then X in 4 (8 cups)but if you look closer the finish product looks like a milky shampoo so in my opinion the 8 cups water is OK for good consistency
