      Right on Thank you terry , I love trying things out to just enjoy diffrent aspects of this hobby and would hate to be Pidgeon holed in to category.
      Thats exactly what im hoping for is to use this as a downtime hobby that i can just go for a stroll and enjoy the countryside in the process .
      Thanks for your support buddy ,
      Stay safe

      Hey buddy, hope that your well , thank you firstly for the sub really does mean alot for sure , I've been subbed to you for a good while , I'm more of a lurker when it comes to watching videos as I'm always busy , so tend to let them just play , were you to in Wales , I'm Rhondda Valleys.
      Yeah the Mauler is loved by so many but I'm just not 💯 that I'm the guy for it , I love going fast for sure .
      Thanks once again
      Stay safe there dude

      @ChriswithaCrc oh thanks bud, yea no problem, it's always great to find people that are fairly local. I'm more towards Abergavenny but not that far away . yea I never seen the point in crawling myself but actually love it now . I know what you mean about busy and it is hard to keep up with everyone's videos, cheers bud 👍

    I bought one of these around two and a half years ago and it’s still in the box , never got around to trying it out I got interested in the trx4 and trx6 and Traction hobby trucks , recently getting interested in building the scx24 and the quite new trx4m , I have a very nice hard body Defender with opening doors and bonnet I’ve been toying with the idea of fitting to the mauler chassis.

      Well I got a video coming out tomorrow buddy on the first use and it quite simply needs some work to be awesome . but its a capable crawler , just needs some tweaks .
      I've wanted to try out a Axial for some time now , but unsure which one I fancy .
      Thanks for watching .

    Pretty capable rig , it's worth getting a cheap gbox with the dig function and some tyres

      Thanks in advance

    Hi Chris. I think you know my thoughts on how exciting crawlers aren't but it looks like a decent truck. I wonder if you'll enjoy it or like me, yearn for more speed? I think it depends a lot on having somewhere good to run it. Try to have fun 😁

    • @ChriswithaCrc
      @ChriswithaCrc  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey there peter , We shall see hey i mean its either something im going to enjoy as a downtime thing or not . Either way it was silly not to pick it up to be honest with you .
      I generally prefer speed , but as you said i do have a great place to run it close to me that i use for most things and most of the time its just me there ( Great for the mind ) , Going tonight for my first attempt so will be interesting to see how this fairs out .
      Worse case scenario my daughter has a truck to run while she gets better at controlling a RC .
      Just wanted to say thank you for watching also it sure does mean alot as i know your channel must be very busy indeed.
      Ps Can you recommend a decent 4x4 Tamiya Monster truck / Stadium truck that i could get for the channel and also put a decent brushless system in buddy , interested to here your thoughts , or even a different brand but want it to be a KIT build .
      Stay safe there ,
      Chris :)

    • @PeteWylieRC
      @PeteWylieRC ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ChriswithaCrc Well I don't think that Tamiya really do a decent 4wd monster truck that is robust with a brushless. The Super Clodbuster is a great kit but if you start knocking it about it will break. Also tricky toake brushless because of twin motor setup. I'd just get a 2wd Tamiya Lunchbox and make that brushless. Hours of endless fun! I've done a video about the mods I did to mine. Also there will hopefully be another speed contest between the channels this year 😁👍👍

    • @PeteWylieRC
      @PeteWylieRC ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just to add to my previous reply, Tamiya are more about buggies and fun stuff than brushless beasts. One kit that is good and different to anything else is the 6wd Konghead. That's fun and fairly tough and will take a brushless just fine. I did a review of it where I show the upgrades I did. There are also the school bus and hauler versions 👍

      @@PeteWylieRC Hey 👋 Peter , Hope that your well buddy , do appreciate your reply , I'm wondering is there any other brands also that are worth checking , having said that what about the monster bettle are they ok ?
      Or even a blitzer bettle , and would those chassis take a brushless unit in the sense of drivetrain wise .
      Really appreciate your replies there buddy .
      Ps I did a first crawl and yeah was a nice change of pace , but did kinda feel like it was going for a walk with a RC car , going to give it a few more runs before I give my finally decision on it .
      Stay safe there buddy ,
      Chris 🤙😎

    • @PeteWylieRC

      @@ChriswithaCrc The Monster Beetle is fragile as anything. Have a look at my Blackfoot review as that's the same thing. Also the Blitzer Beetle is too fragile in various area's and I broke mine endlessly. What I did was to start with a DT-02 which is more reliable and I made it look like a Blitzer Beetle. The 2WD DT-02 and DT-03's are pretty strong and can take brushless but still need a few upgrades. The 4WD TT-02 buggy can take a brushless but you will probably strip the bevel gears and the metal upgrades are expensive. The best non Tamiya kit I have is the Turbo Scorpion. Can take a brushless and handles really well. Like I was saying, if you are getting a Tamiya then you need to be in the Lunchbox club! 😁
