Hey John, no i don't think so. I filed some of the plastic bump stops down too, but really how much difference it makes is debatable. Smaller tyres might help too lol
Can i ask about the shocks you have i have bought some exactly the same diff brand on them but the top mounts are like the standard ball type nit like the standard mauler top mounts how have you managed to fit yours?
They are both on ebay mate, 2.2 size. My history doesn't go back far enough sadly. Tyres are rubbish on rocks as I've just found, so that's something to consider.

I have one of these well sort of now besides the chassis and battery and electric trays and bumper is all that's left, shock the same as yours full metal gear box and drive shifts 550 Holmes hobbies crawl master Pro motor hobby wing 1080 esc 2x 36kg steering servos as its now full cnc front and rear steering, hustler tyres with bead locks battery is 3s 5000 mah and the rc element trophy rat body with light kit and light bar on bumper it works really well crawls up every thing I have tried
@@antrc it's alot heavier but I bought to to change and use as an moa platform just didn't go that way in the end still have fine tuning to get it perfect but it's so much fun even more so than the original
@@antrc yeah if you could that would be great. I'm thinking of getting the gun metal grey yeah racing versions of those since I can't get the blue boom racing shocks. Seems they are out of stock everywhere.
@@antrc yeah.....if you could get a measurement of the spacers that'd be great! I got the rgt rock hammer and already bulletproofing it and upgrading all the weak stuff
Very nice Mauler! I ordered it's cousin truck the rgt rock hammer. I already have upgrades for mine coming while I wait for the truck to arrive. I ordered the same tires and wheels. Also a 25kg waterproof 7.4v servo and metal trans gears and new locker/gears, and aluminum c-hubs and knuckles from redcat. Over here in the USA we can use redcat upgrade parts considering HSP makes redcat products.
Wow that is a touch alright. Go for it. Sadly this one is heading for ebay soon to make way for something else. But thy are entertaining trucks, v different to regular 313mm crawlers.
@@dwbv00 I'm kinda sad as I put a lot into it, paint job etc, but in the end if it ain't be wheeled then it needs to go to someone who will. Sounds a lot like our areas. Those tyres will eat it. 👌
Am impressed with my stock mauler,,even though j have just brought her ALREADY 🤑😱,had to put metal diffs in back, front right plastic diff gone now,,, all sold out none in stock, 🤑🤑,,could order from afar ,but Inc shipping double price,,😑😅,,,anyways, she does very well with just 3WD,,,thinks lipo power turns stock mauler diffs into chocolate 😅😅👍

No probs mate. You have to put a spacer - two nuts I used - in to keep the shock away from the chassis rails. Is that what you mean?

@@dwbv00 yes noticed that too. They're nowt special mind. Stock shocks aren't bad if you swap oil.
