    Of course it is certainly difficult to say where you get the best and most authentic breakfast in a big place like Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, but for us, we did find that one place that was always great. We are talking about Al Azad, a Mamak restaurant at the beginning of the Kampung Baru. We mostly eat fresh Puris or Roti Canai (Paratha) there and they are always perfectly fresh and crispy with the best texture that you can imagine. A big plus is the great daal that they serve and the great tee tarik. Of course there are lots of great breakfasts like Nasi Lemak but for us we have lost our souls at Roti Canai, which have recently been voted as the second best street food in the world. This is the best breakfast from Malaysia and India combined.

    Great to hear that your appetite has returned after that sickness, Sir 👍👍 👏 What a yummy breakfast at that Al Azad restaurant. Wow, roti canai, puris and teh tarik are in fact your family's favourite 😀😄 Amazing that everyone loves it including baby Dylan. Yeah, good food doesn't have to come from a "fancy pants" restaurant...old school one is the best. And RM1.30 for a piece of roti canai is considered reasonable/cheap for KL standard. Good review anyway.
    Have a wonderful day Mr Moonshine and family 🥰😍

    "parotta" - they are smaller versions of RC. But however its equally or more famous in Kerala where its called " paratha" and it's well known that ' twas Muslim Kerala folks who brght it over to our Msia and over the years it's popularity grew across all in Msia incldg tourists. I remember my bro and I bicycling in 1970 in my hometown to nearest mamak stall to get our paratha!!

    when you said you always wished to raise your kids in Asia and you dont regret it, I thought of so many people who actually did it for long term and did not regret it. Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand even India has welcomed many from the US , UK Europe and they simply never went back. housing, food, schooling is all very cheap in these countries. These countries are just as independent as any other western country and have almost everything you need to live a good life. People are nice, food is nice and even the general atmosphere is good to raise your kids.
    Maybe - just maybe you should think of zeroing in on any one such country for long term residence. if any of these countries have an easy way of applying for permanent residency and its not too expensive, having a permanent roof would be nice even if it is a rented place.
    for the time when you think you are all done travelling and want to rest or maybe make one country as your base and continue travelling the world. Maybe one of your kids might want to get a formal education, I mean you never know. life changes, priority changes and things change without any notice sometimes. India too has many good 2 tier and 3 tier cities with excellent facilities and far more cheaper than the main cities. A lot of expats live in smaller cities in northern India for the good weather. You have a very beautiful family and your kids are amazing. they wont have any problem getting along in any country. This was just a thought I was sharing with you.

    • @yvesthesleeve
      @yvesthesleeve  ปีที่แล้ว

      We would never want to live a life like most expats, and permanently we do not want to either, but yes, life changes, but anyway, it is way too expensive for us to get permanent visa, we are getting barely by as it is.
