@eddiezaidon8743 I’d say so, but our parking was fairly purpose driven when we did have the van. We didn’t run into any issues locating parking where we needed it. The grocery stores, hotels, and other vendors have adjacent parking lots with clear designations for that business or a garage beneath. Be mindful of the van’s clearance! Our on-foot wandering, in Zurich in particular, happened before picking up the van. We were able to park the van at camp in Geneva and take the bus to town. Camping at the TCS Geneva includes a local transportation pass!
@@AwayWithTheMays hey just found your video. Thanks for the information. Was it easy to find parking during the day? Did you have to pay to park you're van during the day? Would you have to park and use the local transit instead?
@sandyg4646 Hey there! Thank you for watching our video! We did not find parking to be incredibly difficult. A some of our more urban camp sites we were able to leave the van at camp and utilize public transportation. We did use some public garages for a fee. We used a garage when we took the train to Zermatt, and it was fairly affordable. There were several garages in larger cities and ample parking in front of business and grocery stores that were well marked for that business. Only sometimes did we need to pay for a short time to use the spot. I will say we did not park in Geneva. That was a place where we parked at camp and used our transportation pass that was included with our campsite. It was the affordable and less stressful approach, and it gave us the chance to enjoy a great bottle of wine and fondue at La Buvette des Bains de Paquis without worry!
@@sandyg4646 I can't say for certain that it is most, but it is several. From what I understand, your campsite booking includes a tourism tax, and that tax in turn provides you with the pass. Trip Savvy has a good list! www.tripsavvy.com/switzerland-transportation-guide-5196033#toc-free-travel-passes-and-paid-options
Great information, thank you
Glad it was helpful! Are you planning a trip anytime soon?
Is it easy to park the campervan in town? Or in front of hotels.
