COOLEST $50 MOD for an E36!

Keyless entry install on my e36 drift car. I think for all the cheap mods ive done on my E36 this has to be the coolest one UNDER 50 BUCKS!

Hold both buttons for 7-10 secs it’s like a toggle off/on for the sound of unlock/lock. Happened to me I had to go deep into forums to figure it out

It could be your drivers side Door Lock Actuator module. It might be going out

Also, if you want it to chirp when you arm/disarm. Hold both buttons on the remote for 3 seconds

You can get new replacement cases if you search for the Subaru model that also uses this forget which one but I switched my grey buttons, circuit board, and BMW sticker on the back over to a new case

Yo I maybe had same thing, just not when I added the little remote (I have my factory one😅).Check on the metal rod conected to the little black plastic thing that goes down when you lock it. I had that when I fucked around with the door cards and it would just get stuck on something in there and if that thing doesn't go down the door won't lock. Also mine would scream if someone opens the door even if it didn't lock. I know it might be the first thing you checked but who knows🙌🏼

But would your door lock if you locked it from the driver side? Because I thought maybe something was holding up the locking pin thing that sticks out but when I unlock with my key it’ll unlock fine
