- This is a big compilation of me building my E36 Trackcar!
In this video you will the process in 1 year of building this car, from stock to full track car. A lot has been done to the car. Coilovers, wheels, cage, bucket seats, intake, interior delete and much much more.
I hope you guys enjoy the progress so far and I can't wait to see what this car will be in the next 1-2 years.
Of course all the footage in this video is from all my uploads so if you want to see more in depth on specific mods you can find them all on my channel.

Can you do a full steering lock wihout rubbing?

@@janeznovak5208 Yes, you might have a little trouble with 9J wheels but a UK friend of mine made them fit without rubbing

I got one. It’s worth it. Bought just because I liked style didn’t think much of it as I wasn’t a bmw at the time. Drive it everyday and now I’m hella into it. Poor man’s race car.
You wont regret it I bought one for daily and I want another one to build it
I’ve owned and built a few over the years and I’ve never wanted to die more when fixing them, but I’ll always remember and love them always
After 2 years I finally found one that I really like. 320I Sedan with 160.000 kilometers driven. The Engine is in great condition but stuff like seals, bushings and rust needs to get repaired. I'm looking forward to transforming this one into my dream car and keeping it nice. Let's see how well this goes! Dream came true!

dream build ive always wanted to do ive autocrossed hondas for so long had a E36 but had to sell it due to health issues, finances and most important no help or support.

@@TJS36 no problem bud. Yea it was break anything it was super cheap to fix and easy then back on course. But the bimmer bug has hit me and I want another lol. This time I'm keeping it.

Tip, koop alu subframe bussen of terug origineel. PU kruipt over tijd (kruip als in de werktuigbouwkundige term) en je zult zien dat je subframe steeds dichter naar de bodem beweegt en er dus steeds meer ruimte voor bewegen ontstaat.
Dat wist ik niet, heb hier eigenlijk nog iemand over gehoord met PU bussen. Ben van sowieso van plan later naar Uniball te gaan voor de draagarmen, dan kijk ik even wat ik met het subframe doe. Iniedergeval bedankt voor de tip! Ik ga het in de gaten houden
Maatje van mij had zwarte en donkerblauwe powerflex bussen (de hoogste shore hardheid van dat assortiment) in z'n e36 M3 subframe gezet en binnen het jaar was het subframe bijna 5mm "omhoog" gegaan, en zat er dus ook zoveel speling naar "onderen" op (bij optillen kon sub dus zakken). Zelf heb ik het gezien in draagarm bussen, na een a 2 jaar zijn ze waardeloos; alle spanning is er uit en soms zelfs met de draagarmen uit het center. Is echt iets voor een raceauto waarbij je steeds dingen vervangt. Maar goed als het een raceauto is kun je sowieso voor kogels gaan, dat mag echter niet altijd.

Hello professionals. I want to buy a BMW E36 and I want to develop it for racing and I want to know what is best for handling and drifting is it a sedan or a coupe
Sedan is a more stiff chassis, so better for racing

I'm blown away by this build and attention to detail. I want to do something similar but finding the right car is near impossible. In my country the only e36 coupe was the M3 and are so expensive. So I am stuck with the sedans only which is not a bad thing.

Isn't it illegal to have seats that don't recline on a coupe? In case of accident rear passenger cannot recline the seat and exit the vehicle.
I think it’s illegal if you have a backseat but because I don’t have a backseat and a rollcage, I think it’s ok
What is the advantage of using wheel studs instead of oem solution?
Very easy to take wheels off/on. Also looks a lot better imo

How do keep the original seat belts in the car after installing after market seats?
You have to make a bracket to attach them to the seat

How is the track info overlay on video achieved?
You do that with the Gopro software

Did you reinforce the mounting points for the rear subframe? Because you're gonna have bad time later on down the road if you didn't.
The previous owner already reinforced those so that was a positive surprise. But then I already ordered all the reinforcement plates 😂

Is that really necessary with 195-200 hp?
@@mennovanleeuwen it's a known issue. Doesn't really matter the power level. Plus it's good insurance. I'm all about doing it once.
