This kind of fusion has barely been made since the 90's. Thanks, to all of you, for bringing it back. Simon nailed the compositions.

I inhabit an alternate universe where the Devine King project is Scott, Dave King, and Kerry King. Best album of the decade))))

Whoaaaaaaaa!!! If I close my eyes I swear that THE BRECKER BROTHERS must have had some previously unreleased material or something. You guys have genuinely pulled off an honest to goodness magic trick and revived an, all but lost, musical art form. People like me who grew up on this stuff, we’re all drinking a toast to an instant classic album! BRAVO!!! Congratulations!!!

Scott, this is so cool that you are doing this!! Basically an “inside look” at the album and your breakdown and basically ‘live liner notes!’ THANK YOU!

Did Simon have a hand in the Players Path songs? Very reminiscent especially of the higher levels. Awesome tune and I’m super excited to check out the lessons. What a gift you’re us as fans and players, thank you!

An incredible and amazing piece of work Scott, this is a beautiful thing, you nailed the Gary Willis and Anthony Jackson flavour in your fills and throughout the whole tune. I'm enjoying it very much! Much love ... great stuff!!!

Listening to the album right now and am loving it. It sounds fresh and yet still reminds me of my time at Musicians Institute (GIT class of Sept. 89). The instructors would frequently play there with their Fusion bands. Hearing players like Steve Bailey, Scott Henderson, and Mike Miller was mind-blowing. So glad you did this album.

I hesitated about commenting but I do not like the guitar on the record - I'm a guitar player of many years and a bass player of very few. The tone is harsh, too high in the mix and, for my taste, a bit cliched. I get that there's notable muso's playing but there's a lot of extraneous noise going on - typically way over the top cymbals and that guitar - man, it's hard to listen to. It reminds me very much of the original bands and artists mentioned that I desperately wanted to like but just didn't, way back when I was a kid - which is a very long time ago. The sound is all chops and no meaning. I kind of fall into the Miles Davis/Mark Hollis/George Orwell camp here of 'if you have something to say, why use 100 words when 3 will do...' I'm not hating, I love the SBL content and think what Scott is doing is amazing but this type of thing is just not for me and leaves me a bit cold.
