  • WIRED TELEMETRY / Scott's Album Breakdowns (Tone, Grooves, Solo's, Technique and More) | EP112
Wired Telemetry is the second track from The Devine King Project, Vol. 1. It’s a classic fusion instrumental, which makes it a great vehicle for anyone looking to experiment with improvising. In this episode, you’ll hear Scott’s own analysis of the song, including his tips and tricks for you to experiment with while playing along.
    In this episode...
Scott maps out the track Wired Telemetry.
    Including the Brecker Brothers-inspired melody.
Where you can lean on a C minor pentatonic scale.
You’ll hear him pivot to a warmer bass tone.
And borrow a lick from Jaco Pastorius!
    And much, much more!

Wow, Scott! Once again, y’all have nailed it. The Brecker Brothers and all the jazz-funk-rock fusion bands of the 1970’s, including those who’ve already died, are standing up cheering 📣 with an eternal ovation!
I love your solo in this song, my favorite bass solo, so far. The only band member who, outwardly, appears tense, to me, is the guitarist. You and the rest of the gang appear very comfortable and look like you’re genuinely having a blast 💥

Scoot Devine you have made something I think you will be proud of more and more as time goes on! It’s awesome that you have shared it and even broken it all down for us. Transcribing even just portions of it would be beneficial to any of us! Thank you brother 🙏🏼🔥😎

Beautiful and tasteful Bass tone. Cuts through when needed then smoothly steps back into the rhythm section .

Loving the series, this might be my favorite track on the album. I don't think I knew how to listen to this type of jazz, but breaking it down like this, listening to the phrasing and sections, brings new appreciation and enjoyment for stuff like this. Can't wait for the next one!
