Looking forward to overlanding content with the dog! We take 3 with us (crazy I know) so it will be fun to see how yall deal with that added element. It's lots of fun to take them with us, but can certainly be limiting at times.
Family is most important. That’s a big part of why we started our channels to document our family trips and we always work to find the balance of filming and enjoying the time. Can’t wait to see the Tundra build come along also.

I am pretty sure I started following you on your first trip to Alaska, your older daughter was very young. I can't believer how much she has grown. Somehow I haven't seen many videos since that trip. even though I am subscribed to your channel. Looking forward to this adventure.

Wise choices my friend. Time with family can never be replaced. Especially important is time between a father and his daughter. As a father of two daughters, I can tell you, the influence you have on their lives will greatly influence the type of man your daughters will marry someday.

OMG, just got back from Overland West and just saw this. So love the new pooch😃🐕. Congrats on the 5.7, that’s what pulls my LC200 and well, you know you just got one of the best engines you can get! Can’t wait to see the tundra build👍

Man! Sorry to hear about the busted foot! I’m actually a foot and ankle doctor here in Utah (and avid Overlander) so if you need any help with it please hit me up! I’ve been wanting to get a channel going, have lots of content but don’t know where to start, so if I can swap my trade secrets for yours then I’m happy to! Or, heaven forbid, if anybody else in the family has foot or ankle problems. Keep the great videos coming man! Congrats on the 2nd Gen Tundra and the puppy! It definitely is a upgrade for you guys having more room and also the ability for upgrades including a way larger fuel tank, a buddy has the largest tank that can be gotten and has a insane range with it, even towing a larger travel trailer. I for one have a 1st gen Sequoia and love it. With the expos I totally understand that we have been contemplating not going to the pnw expo because it was crazy hot last year!

I have 2015 1794 Tundra. Glad to see out grew the magnaflow exhaust, I am anxious to see what you to your truck. My wife is disabled so we get a lot of enjoyment out of your videos. Maybe some of your mods may my truck more accommodating to my wife.
Yeah, I don't mind it on trail but Highway pulls while towing are dreadful. Even the baby disapproves. Thanks for riding along!
I'm surprised you decided to part ways with the GX460 instead of the 4Runner. It's a great SUV. I'm sure anyone using it as a rental will be thrilled to be using it. I am looking forward to seeing what you do with the Tundra. It should be a fun journey.

So Glad to hear your taking time to share the experiences with your family. Diane and I have taken amazing trips with our kids. While pictures and videos are great, being in the moment with them is were the true connections happen between you and your family. They will always remember that time in their hearts. Take it from me, the older the kids get the faster the clock spins my friend. Love watching the channel
Thank you so much for this follow-up / life update! Met you all back in 2021 at Overland Expo West and since then finally made it back to the Overland Expo in '24, but missed you all. I understand better than most due to the reason as to why I wanted to meet you all again! Back in '21, I was freshly married, and you/the family were my inspiration to share overlanding with my then possibly growing family. Today, I have a little one of my own, and I KNOW that I can share what I love with my daughter thanks to the adventures you've had with your family! Simply thank you! Yes, we missed you, yet we completely understand! Family first and taking a step back is merited, so know, if you ever come back to the west, we're friends who are excited to rekindle connections with you/yours! Until then, travel on, often, and make memories at every single stop!
After hearing about some of the engine issues with the twin turbo V6, I’m glad you got a V8 tundra instead of the new one or the GX550, as cool as that rig is.

You guys are spot on…my husband and I have 2 kiddos (1 just graduated college and 1 with a year left) and we love that we took time with them away from the world to travel all together - maybe not quite as extensively as you 😅 - and just “do life” with them as they were growing. Us outsiders can wait a bit! God bless all your plans, heal all your illnesses/injuries, and help you with making all the right decisions for YOU!! Can’t wait to see the next adventures!

After watching your channek for years, it was a pleasure to finally meet you at the PNW Expo last year...
I find that attending ONE expo a year to be too much. I can't imagine attending several of them... that had to be exhausting... (and very repetitive.)
We aren't attending any Expos this year either, instead choosing to spend our precious PTO time on adventures, rather than preparing for them. So I feel ya brother... spending time with family and friends supercedes everything! I'm glad we get to continue to come along for the ride occasionally!

Toyota mechance here. I was so worried you guys were going to choose one of the new gen hybrid rigs. I am beyond thrilled with your choice of the Tundra. Excellent powertrain with a proven track record. These newer trucks, while fancy and feature fillled, are having some major reliability issues. It will be some time before Toyota irons out all the kinks. Happy trails from a fellow Toyota driver!

Sure you already know this, but when you put a snorkel on the tundra, make sure you also route the secondary air intake into the snorkel as well. The stock intake and pumps for the secondary air is in the passenger front wheel well. any moisture in that system will corrode the valves and cause them to stick, putting it in limp mode. The valves on the 3UR are under the intake near the firewall and a pain to replace.

I myself also occasionally go on off-road trips (we also have mountains and beautiful places to travel in the Urals), it's a pity that I don't have much time and most of the time of the year my prepared Toyota FJ cruiser stands in anticipation of the tests, but I'm happy to travel with you (according to your videos) on American soil and dream of someday taking a ride on American landmarks! I have a 2020 Tundra and would definitely recommend getting the auxiliary transmission cooler!

Congratulations on all your new events! I very much look forward to watching your adventures in a full size rig. I have a suburban and have taken it off road some in utah, I had loads of fun. No mods, just tires. The longer wheelbase did present some issues. But with the proper mods I feel they would not be an issue any longer. I love you content. I love watching you and your family.
