Heck, my friends and I go camping at the beach for a week at a time. Practicing the Fine Art of Doing Nothing. Maybe some surfing... It truly is a hard art to master. Most people can't exist today without having a cell phone connection.
Jason, It was great sharing this time together. One of the things I've always loved about your videos is your talent for capturing the quiet side of nomadic life.
Just wanted to say taking real personal time is really important, especially in days like this. Always enjoyed your videos and look forward to the future. Have FUN and we will be here when you get back😊
When content doesn’t come naturally something is sacrificed the natural flow of the video. Watching your day unfold in a laid out manner is what I personally enjoy.👍
I'm seventy years old and i've had long hair short hair Long hair and short hair. Still the same person, some people are too judging! Do what feels good to you at the time! Good To see you again my friend!!!
Great to see you Jason. Nice friend, Dave, that can handle just chilling and talking with no specific plan in mind. Love those oysters...when I go to So Texas...I'll always have raw oysters on the half shell...love em. Take care.
Thanks, welcome back to the fold. Escape the heat & off to the solace, serenity & cool of the OR beach. The oysters, fire, quiet and sharing with another, all add to the flavor of your presentation. And psychologically one can escape for minutes, the 100 degree temps, that I have in my 'backyard".
Jason. Good to see you're still around. Thought you might have left us on the channel. Looking forward to see the video/s of what's new on the van. Happy trails
Yes! Happy to see this drop 🎉 also looking forward to seeing any van repair videos you got. I have an econoline too. Please Don’t worry about not having “anything” to film. We watch your videos for the chill, natural ambiance of the outdoors and camping. A lot of the experience of camping is just uneventful hanging out. Just keep filming your surroundings and your appreciation of the outdoors. Take care and god speed sir!
Jason, you loo 10 years younger with the trimmed beard. lol I don't mind the quick video. It's good to see you're still gettign along ok. I'm looking forward to a video on the van project that kept from your loyal fans. ;) As always, thanks for doing what you do.
I have been using a Jackery and 50 Qt fridge now for over a year. Two portable solar panels. I do not miss having to buy ice every day/other day. Especially at $8/$10/bag because the place that sells it is off the grid and runs a diesel generator to make it.
Great video Jason. Much needed time away I’m sure. Good to see you back and thanks for sharing. I also would like a walk around video of Dave’s rig as well
I live on the coast here in NorCenCal. There has been a daily temperature difference of fifty degrees between here and 30 miles inland. Glad to see you are back!
So glad to see you. Was starting to worry. I hear you with the weather. It hit 115 down here, I’m looking forward to heading to my Sierras then the coast. My move is finally just about done. Adjusting to living in my trailer. Need to situate a few things and I’m gonna start taking off after my shifts. Stay safe. 😁👍
Campfire oysters on the beach...60 degrees...semi-good whiskey. Meanwhile, it's 126 degrees on my front porch in the afternoon. Even mad dogs don't go outside after about 1:00. Out of whiskey. And I hate you. 🤣🤣
HI JASON & DAVE 👋 THAT LOOKED LIKE A LOT OF FUN ONCE THE WIND CALMED DOWN . NO GRIT IN YOU'LLS FOOD . JUST GETTING OUT & ENJOYING SOME ME TIME WITH A FRIEND. FOOD LOOKED MIGHTY TASTY LOOKIN 😋 ONCE GETTING USE TO THE QUIET I THINK I COULD OF ENJOYED THE SOUND OF THE SURF HITTING THE BEACH ⛱️ BE SAFE ☺️ 🙏 HAVE FUN ☺️ 🙏ENJOYED ☺️ 🙏GOD BLESS YOU BOTH ALWAYS ON YOUR ADVENTURES ☺️ 🙏THANK YOU 😎 🙏
Good to see you on here again, one thing for sure, oysters on the beach could never be a bad day!! As far as the whiskey… “Calumet small batch” you gotta try it! Safe travels man 🤙🏼
Once again great meeting you and Meaghan in person at Expo PNW! Took your advice and slid back to explore ID and will head to the Oregon coast after XO Ranch Grand Opening event. As I said when we were chatting as a fan its the personality first then the content. Yes it's great when you capture scenic footage but that's not always real life. Clips like this shared with friends and the projects work just as well in my opinion.
Welding gloves are a great addition to my camping arsenal. It allows me to manipulate logs on the edge of the fire without getting burned. :) Might be something to try in the future. :)
I saw your van down at the beach behind the sand dunes. Was going to see if you wanted to go surf perch fishing, but didn’t want to bother you. Maybe next time
Nice to see you back out in the van. You're not kidding about this heat, even on the east coast it's been pretty much 90+ degrees daily for a month straight. We finally got some much needed rain over the weekend. The rain helped with a forest fire at Wharton State Forest (over 4k acres burned since July 5th) and I think that's out now. Oysters and blue cheese? sign me up. I'm going to have to give that a try.
Jason, good to see you posting again and enjoying the beach. I like the hair do, it's rather "Sheep Sheer" of which I can relate. Will there be a new van motor in the offing, with your rebuild? Cheers, Mate.
I never heard of putting blue cheese on oysters, before or any cheese for that matter what was the sauce ? I'll have to try that one. But I'll skip on the tongue , I can remember when I was young right after my mom and dad got divorced my mom made cow tongue for dinner one night , not sure if you're supposed to just cook it whole and serve but she did ,one big cow tongue just sitting on a plate and it didn't go over well ,we ate as little of it as possible . I've had it a different way as an adult but I'm still not a fan , it was good but it reminds me of that night. My favorite way to cook oysters is to steam them they just come out so delicious and have a texture that just melts in your mouth . I usually steam them with a bunch of other shellfish , but I love them steamed by themselves with wine and butter. They are good raw but slimy , and hard to know it's safe especially today. Love everything you do , just want to see more of it . Oh and what is your new dog's name ? We recently lost Jade , she was suffering and had to be put down . That was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do , she was my baby doll and always will be , all one hundred and twenty eight pounds .
Jason, I talked with you at overland about engine tuning. I ment to ask you about your roof rack. My econoline also has a high roof and I was wondering where you got your gutter mounts.
Sooo, your goal of Fabio's hair is over?? Haha. Looking good, buddy!
Bummer you can't make it to Ed's Alvord meetup.
😂
