I definitely think after this season Nike really needs to do a new jersey program cause this year’s lineup with all the repeats of previous city jerseys but with different colors (or in the case of Charlotte, a different word mark) just tells me they’re starting to run out of ideas with this program
Repeats with different colors are by design.. It makes people who bought last years jersey not feel like it's quickly outdated after just 1 season I would rather do away with the city editions altogether - there's too many jerseys as it is!!! Stick to association, statement, alternate (can be city edition like) & 1 classic per team!
The city jerseys are horrible. Airport abbreviations and city nicknames. You can’t even identify some of the teams. They need to stick with the classic jerseys. Maybe do a different version of a throwback every year instead

The "City Edition" jerseys tend to be hit and miss, but less so in the NBA than with MLB's "City Connect" jerseys (some of which are so god awful, it's not even funny). I'm not a fan of the Mavs' city edition jerseys, for example, but others are pretty sharp and very old school (Philly, Portland, for example). I think the "City Edition" will be around for a while, but it could use a few tweaks here and there. Also, I wish the Heat would've kept the Miami Vice themes City Edition theme, because that vibe is a perfect fit for South Florida.

Now, they flip floor the colors at random, have all kinds of different jerseys now for all occasions. Wouldn’t be surprised if they came out with holiday inspired jerseys for the occasion lol. I guess they’re all money makers and nba is marketing them like crazy.

im weeks late but ive been saying this for years im so glad someone agrees. These teams are genuinely losing their identities with all these different city jerseys that get worn every other game it seems like. Not to mention theyre different every year. Just from a visual standpoint these teams have no identity anymore, when I tune into games it feels like im watching an amateur league, not to mention becsuse the brand of basketball thats being played (no defense and just chucking 50 threes a game). Its really no wonder the NBA is losing viewership.
Lakers are the only one that looks like a professional sports team uniform. That's something that I would actually spend money on and I'm not even a Lakers fan.😅
Nike should be replaced as the primary jersey provider. They only confused the teams on how they manage their uniforms, as well as the designs really sucking big time.
The Phx and GS jerseys are nice. Some of the other city jerseys are str8 trash. (Denver, Indiana, Milwaukee, NY I'm looking at you). I also don't like the font on my Knicks city jerseys. The rest is fine.

Because I chose to consistently use when each team used its current name. That's all. The Warriors were first established in the 1940s out of Philadelphia before moving to San Francisco, but the *Golden State* Warriors first played in 1971/72.
