Ömer Yurtseven was so under-utilized in NBA, his soft touch is second to none and he's an absolute monster collecting rebounds. He equalized the back to back double doubles record in Miami Heat for a rookie, which was cut short because the star player he replaced during his injury returned and he only played a couple of minutes in the match that he could have broken the record!
hey brother...love all your content. Lifelong NBA & basketball fan, so wherever I can improve my Euroleague knowledge, and learn more about the international leagues, their history, rivalries, etc. I am all for it. Furk deserved better in Philly so I'm glad to see him get real playing time in Europe. We (the 76ers) really don't seem to value perimeter shooting and I don't understand why, especially considering our dominant paint-scoring, foul-taking center is always injured.
Plus/minus shows that Boban WAS a slight defensive liability, but he was a clear plus overall. Teams were better with him on the court. Better than he has been given credit. Coaches just didn't play him.
Can you do a video about how exactly the year league works like is it like the premier league in soccer? Is it a whole bunch of leagues in one and if so, how do they pick teams for the euro league
All I’m saying is when people back then said that Euro league teams were catching up or surpassed NBA level when NBA champions took Euro league teams on in a exhibition match and even tho Euro league teams won more against NBA teams, as u can see from this video, all of those players who went from Euro league to NBA, all their stats decreased, does that not show that NBA is one of, if not the highest and strongest level of basketball? Sure maybe it’s because they’re not used to America or the pace of the NBA but that’s just it, if Euro league was simply catching up to NBA on team levels, then individual success should’ve been expected if team success defeats NBA champions, but simply their individual success overshadows their team success against NBA teams, this just shows that Euro league teams as a whole can go stride for stride against NBA teams let alone Champions but if Euro league was catching up, both individual and team success would’ve happened already and all their numbers would increase, did that happen? No, their teams defeated NBA champions but their players didn’t increase their stats, they rather decreased, because Euro league standards are less higher making it easier for them to take back their big roles and big minutes again, while if u were to go back to the NBA, you wouldn’t get back the big minutes or roles unless you earn it again and show that you can still average those numbers and stats, this is just my look on it responding to those who say Euro league catching up to NBA level 🤷♂️
Most of those players are at the decline of their careers, plus some of the best NBA players right now, like Jokic, Luka, Antetokoympo and Embidd are "international" players... So whats your point?
Big facts, Facu was possibly the worst player in the entire NBA when he played there and is an all euro league player in euro league. It’s like saying MLS is comparable to the premier league.
@@PrettyRickyDanko Facu's issue was his height because he is an elite basketball player. A few centimeters more and he eould still be playing in the NBA, same story as with Mike James and Kendrick Nunn.
@@AlexTTzer0 my point is that if all these videos are saying Euro league players and teams are catching up to NBA standards, you only listed the rare cases in which some international players do become all stars or superstars, but when you look at the majority of all the players that went from Euro league to NBA, only a few became all all stars and only a few actually became superstars
After not making it in the NBA he now knows it isn't the end all be all. How convenient that is. Forget Garuba, it is sad Vezenkov never made an impact. His game just isn't built for the iso and athleticism heavy NBA. Would love to see plenty of games between NBA teams and Euro's every year. One's where the NBA teams play them like its a league game. Come up with an international cup or something, pitting the final 8 or 4 Euro League finalists against the the NBA Conference finals or semifinals teams. The size of that ball in Boban's hands is unbelievably comical. That doesn't look real. Boban seems like a really good dude, wish him the best and will try and keep an eye on him. Maybe the channel needs a regular Boban update segment? With his size and all that comes with it, Boban is likely happy he can still walk unassisted, let alone play ball.
Haha. If I were an NBA player I would love to play in this tournament because of the hefty salary these teams could offer than in the NBA which gives you less playing time and less money 💰
Poku is NOT a center he as never played center he plays SF/PF Both you and the thunder just dont know how to play guys like him look at lauri markhanen he is just like him 7foot SF and he has his own team and he spent most of his career on the bench behind lebron so technically if poku stayed in the nba he wouldve been able to get his own team!
The european players never really get a good opportunity in the NBA. They are always neglected and get garbage minutes. There are a few exceptions of course like Luka, Giannis, Jokic...but they are all superstar level.. top 10 in the world.
apart from Kendrick Nunn, I don't see anyone being mvp now. Some of them even get too much bench time. It's almost a different sport, not easy to transition to

Ahh, averaging 5.5 ppg in the NBA automatically makes you a 25 ppg scorer in Euro League. Also, the Charlotte Hornets are a destination where NBA careers go to die. If the ship you there, you know the end is near, lol.
well apart from the superstars in NBA the rest 90% has 5-10% ppg. The system there is made and cut for 30 players or so. Regular season resembles all star game in intensity and many quality players are not given the opportunity, because the superstar of each team has to make half the attempts in offence, while NbA rules and don't allow defencive skills to arose
